That's why it was banned in 3 generations Garchomp was even banned to Ubers twice because of it (gen 4 and 5). And it's only unbanned because it has a different ability (gen 5), or Sand Stream no longer lasts for the whole battle (gen 6, 7)

Then all you need is a ground type for metagross and ttar, and with ground types and earthquake being really common, the opponent will likely have one and will have little to no trouble breezing through this team.

Dragonite has a really cool combo with mist and superpower. Mist makes it so that superpower won’t drop its attack and defense stats. Edit: dragonite with mist works very well with komo’o. Mist negates the stat drops from clanging scales and close combat. Komo’o resists rock types, dragonite has iron head for fairies, komo’o has close combat for ice types.
Most of the time, I give Hydreigon Dragon Pulse (since Draco Meteor has the drawback of decreasing Sp. Attack), Dark Pulse, and Fire Blast and Flash Cannon for Ice, Steel, and Fairy coverage. For Kommo-o, I use the exact same move set except Close Combat. I’d use Thunder Punch. I like coverage for various situations. I’ve used these movesets and found it working well.

Kommo-o should have overcoat to prevent chip damage from Tyranitar’s sand stream incase Tyranitar needs to switch. Garchomp would make a lot of sense paired with Tyranitar as well.
Garchomp is outclassed by Mega Salamence though. And with how much attack power this team already brings to the table a more defensive pokemon like Dragonite with Multiscale might be more valuable than Garchomp considering how weak this team is against Ice and Fairy moves.
@@extrahachse3118 Garchomp would have been better than dragonite. Garchomp can set up rocks and also every pokemon on his team except for Mega-salamence has a base speed below 100. Plus garchomp has STAB eq. Dragonite is the one being outclassed by mega-mence, Garchomp has almost always been the best base form psuedo.
Aayu Sarin t-tar is already there to set up Rocks(or Kommo-o or Metagross) and Dragonite Only Needs one Dragon Dance to outspeed Garchomp, Not to Mention Dragonite has a higher base attack already. And again, Multiscale is quite valuable in a Team that shares the same weaknesses and already has enourmous attack power. I don’t think Garchomp would Be a wrong pick, especially with Sand Veil, but I do think Dragonite can Be more valuable
Extra Hachse I wrote my response based on the team and movsets mystic provided, since his t-tar doesn’t have rocks. Most teams run stealth rock, which ruins multiscale and I don’t think psuedos have hazard removal( at least not on this team. And needing a full turn just so you can outspeed isn’t that impressive. On top of that, dragonite’s base attack is only 4 points higher than garchomps, while sure it nice to have the extra attack, I find the higher speed in this scenario to be more important. I’m not saying you’re wrong, since this is always dependent on the situation, sometimes dragonite is better and sometimes garchomp. However, I do think garchomp is a better option overall.

I would have run Kommo-o secial, too, for instance Stealth rocks against Multiscale is a solid argument in Singles I admit, but Dragonite also has Roost. He can just roost stealth rocks away, use Dragon Dance safely due to Multiscale and get into business. Dragonite and Salamence also get Defog by the way One Dragon Dance isn't just going to outspeed Garchomp, but also allows a jolly Dragonite to outspeed timid M-Gengar or jolly M-Lopunny without going scarfed. Garchomp would certainly love a turn to outspeed things In all honestly, despite Garchomp's status as the best Pseudo, he honestly doesn't add that much more to a team full of sweepers than Dragonite in terms of offensiveness, hence I said that Dragonite'being tankier can make it a better fit. For what it's worth, if this was Gen 8 I think Kommo-o would get replaced by Dragapult, Salamence by Garchomp and Dragonite would get Heavy Duty Boots slapped on it.

There is actually a game in GBA called Pokemon glaze and you can have a pseudo legendary team. It's worth it because Pokemon can talk in that version and mega evolution
You should probably just pick either Salamence or Dragonite and then give the extra slot to Garchomp. Also if you pick Dragonite make Metagross your mega.
Ok I have two things that bother me: 1. The Salamence moveset- why Facade? You could much better cover moves or a Dragon STAB Outrage. When all of Salamence's attacks are just Flying type, any Pokemon that resists them can stop Salamence's sweeping. 2. Except Metagross, all of the team is weak to fairy or doubly weak to it. I don't blame you bc you couldn't choose other mons yet if your only Fairy resistance is Metagross, I'd run a mega one instead of Salamence. For a non-mega Salamence you can run Intimidate for physical resistance to survive a turn of Dragon Dance, and then sweep with Outrage, Earthquake, Roost, (and of course,) Dragon Dance. Beside that, great video and an awesome team!

This team is baller. I'm glad you left out Goodra-he's a really good Pokemon, but especially with Dragon types, it's best to have it be dual type-a mono dragon is just.....it's too risky at least for me.
It also doesn't help that its stats and movepool are sorely mismatched; it's a special wall that thinks it's a mixed attacker and it doesn't even have any boosting moves.
Salamence - Replace Double Edge with Earthquake because of coverage, having double stab Flying isn't very useful and also Facade is boosted by Aerilate. Dragonite - It isn't bad. Tyranitar - Although this beast is a staple i don't know if running a sandstorm mon with a Dragonite is the best choice to make. Metagross - Ah the Fairy Killer. Agility is fine but metagross should be the defensive mon because this team is super, super weak to Fairies and Ice types. Hydreigon - Ah standard one, carry on. Replace U-turn with Dragon Pulse for momentum. Kommo-o - Again standard. Conclusion: This team gets destroyed by Weavile+Clefabble. Also where's the beast Garchomp. you know, the one that was sent to Ubers because it was too overwhelming? Edit: Also Celestella and Magearna would probably just end this team.
@Firestorm Soldier I wouldn't go that far because Mega Mence is a uber for a reason and it can be a very good sweeper/defensive mon in the right circunstances. But claiming the "Pseudo Legendary" team without Chomp is very poor and lousy choice.
Aerilate, in addition to adding the +50% STAB boost, also boosts the power of normal moves by an additional 30%/20% depending on generation. This is one of the biggest reasons why Hyper Voice on Pixilate Sylveon is run over Moonblast despite Moonblast having higher base power.

Overcoat > Soundproof Overcoat protects you from the residual damage of Sandstorm from T-tar or any other Pokemon or any Hail you come across Simply put Overcoat is more viable then Soundproof especially considering you have a Sand setter.
Mystic I have a pretty good moveset for garchomp. I know it wasn't in the video but I still think it's pretty good. Ability: Rough Skin Item: Yache Berry Moves: - Swords Dance - Dragon Claw - Earthquake - Crunch/Iron Head I gave it the Yache Berry because it halves the damage from ice attacks so it could set up with swords dance Dragon claw is a good 80 base power move that I used instead of outrage because you would get locked into it and have to switch so all the sd boosted attack is gone Earthquake is ... well ... Earthquake Crunch has coverage against ghost and psychic, but iron head takes care of ice fairy and rock types so it's better because it murders two types garchomp is weak to, plus it could flinch There we have it. Can you rate my moveset and tell me what I could change.
Mega Salamence was my first ever competitively viable Pokémon that I created, pretty much the exact same stats, but with return, dragon dance, earthquake and roost, I never battles competitively, but I still slapped the Ultra sun battle tree
I'll change kommo-o with Dragapult for more speed and special presence. I'll give it leftovers and give hp and special attack the evs. Moves dragon darts for a good physical stab attack that hits twice. U-turn for some quick pivots. Scald for a strong water attack with a chance to burn. Hex for a good ghost stab that Doubles if the target has a status condition.
I feel like salamence really shouldn't of been in Gen 3, Obviously I cant get rid of Metagross because its Stevens ace. However, gen 3 doesn't need more than one pseudo, maybe they could've made the pseudo of a different gen.
Ya know, according to a leak from some website I don't remember (aDrive did a video review on it), they confirmed gen 4 remakes, but with a twist involving relations to SwSs, so take that with what you will
I'd definitely arrange the team a bit differently based on the available options. I'd use Mega Mence, Tyranitar, Metagross, Garchomp, Kommo-O, and Hydreigon.

hey mystic, love your vids, but i have a few things I want to mention: first of all, in my opinion, I think its more effective to have flamethrower on hydreigon instead of dragon pulse. most of the team already has some dragon coverage, so I think its really unnecessary to carry two dragon moves on one pokemon. you can also run sub-nasty plot, which is really really dangerous if you can pull it off and move first most of the time. in the same vein, I also think its kind of a waste to make salamence's entire moveset flying, and I would propose dragon dance - roost (iirc salamence gets roost but if it doesn't outrage works fine) - earthquake - return is more effective because it counters more types. salamence is walled by a lot of common types, like steel or electric, and having a diverse movepool is better than not because you can hit more pokemon for super effective. also, hazards are annoying, but I usually run weakness policy dragonite, because even though dragonite is weak to stealth rocks, it gets multiscale, and assuming there arent any rocks (or you have a defogger on your team) dragonite can be a really good sweeper with weakness policy + dd, outspeeding and ohkoing almost any pokemon with espeed (in case you cant get dd off) earthquake, and dual wingbeat / roost. and also tyranitar gets access to stealth rocks, why don't you run that? I'm not going to rant about how good stealth rocks are but the point is they're really effective and they're really good for the rest of this team, most of which are heavy sweepers who would take a lot of damage from focus sash pokemon. i propose stealth rocks, crunch, stone edge / earthquake, and fire punch, to counter things like ferrothorn. lastly, I would recommend subbing out either dragonite / kommo-o / salamence for garchomp, because garchomp is arguably the best pseudo legend out there, hits really hard, moves really fast, lots of chip damage with rocky helmet + rough skin, and you already have 2 dragon-flying types, and your team lacks a lot of type diversity imo. i would do outrage - earthquake - iron head - poison jab, but most sets are fine.
I feel a better moveset for Mega Salamence would be Dragon Claw and Flying-type Return for STAB, Dragon Dance for setting up, and Steel Wing or sth for coverage against Ice-, Rock-, and Fairy-types.
I like your dragonite set, but I think it could be more useful if you went full tank on it. Since Salamance it taking on the physical sweeper role. I think if you put 252 into Hp and split the rest into defense and special D he would be truly unkillable, with a set like roost, fly, dragon dance and toxic he would be pretty formidable. Especially if he’s carrying leftovers. With multi scale he would always be able to get off 1 dragon dance and then a roost afterwards and then by suing fly you’d always be able to get an extra turn of leftovers recovery. I still like your dragonite set but I think this one could be just as useful

Back in Gen 5 i ran a Pseudo team on Smogon. I used the Dragons to get the momentum going and used the other half of the team as a sand team

There is actually a game in GBA called Pokemon glaze and you can have a pseudo legendary team.
It's worth it because Pokemon can talk in that version and mega evolution

Ok I have two things that bother me:
1. The Salamence moveset- why Facade? You could much better cover moves or a Dragon STAB Outrage. When all of Salamence's attacks are just Flying type, any Pokemon that resists them can stop Salamence's sweeping.
2. Except Metagross, all of the team is weak to fairy or doubly weak to it. I don't blame you bc you couldn't choose other mons yet if your only Fairy resistance is Metagross, I'd run a mega one instead of Salamence. For a non-mega Salamence you can run Intimidate for physical resistance to survive a turn of Dragon Dance, and then sweep with Outrage, Earthquake, Roost, (and of course,) Dragon Dance.
Beside that, great video and an awesome team!
The pseudo legendaries are my favorite Pokémon, so seeing this in my subscription feed makes me happy.

This team is baller. I'm glad you left out Goodra-he's a really good Pokemon, but especially with Dragon types, it's best to have it be dual type-a mono dragon is just.....it's too risky at least for me.
It also doesn't help that its stats and movepool are sorely mismatched; it's a special wall that thinks it's a mixed attacker and it doesn't even have any boosting moves.
The team seems way to dependent on defense. A couple reflects will hit it hard.
Salamence - Replace Double Edge with Earthquake because of coverage, having double stab Flying isn't very useful and also Facade is boosted by Aerilate.
Dragonite - It isn't bad.
Tyranitar - Although this beast is a staple i don't know if running a sandstorm mon with a Dragonite is the best choice to make.
Metagross - Ah the Fairy Killer. Agility is fine but metagross should be the defensive mon because this team is super, super weak to Fairies and Ice types.
Hydreigon - Ah standard one, carry on. Replace U-turn with Dragon Pulse for momentum.
Kommo-o - Again standard.
Conclusion: This team gets destroyed by Weavile+Clefabble. Also where's the beast Garchomp. you know, the one that was sent to Ubers because it was too overwhelming?
Edit: Also Celestella and Magearna would probably just end this team.
@Firestorm Soldier I wouldn't go that far because Mega Mence is a uber for a reason and it can be a very good sweeper/defensive mon in the right circunstances. But claiming the "Pseudo Legendary" team without Chomp is very poor and lousy choice.
Aerilate, in addition to adding the +50% STAB boost, also boosts the power of normal moves by an additional 30%/20% depending on generation. This is one of the biggest reasons why Hyper Voice on Pixilate Sylveon is run over Moonblast despite Moonblast having higher base power.
I knew either Salamence or Metagross would be this team’s mega.

I gave it the Yache Berry because it halves the damage from ice attacks so it could set up with swords dance
Dragon claw is a good 80 base power move that I used instead of outrage because you would get locked into it and have to switch so all the sd boosted attack is gone
Earthquake is ... well ... Earthquake
Crunch has coverage against ghost and psychic, but iron head takes care of ice fairy and rock types so it's better because it murders two types garchomp is weak to, plus it could flinch

Mega Salamence was my first ever competitively viable Pokémon that I created, pretty much the exact same stats, but with return, dragon dance, earthquake and roost, I never battles competitively, but I still slapped the Ultra sun battle tree
I'll change kommo-o with Dragapult for more speed and special presence.
I'll give it leftovers and give hp and special attack the evs.
Moves
dragon darts for a good physical stab attack that hits twice.
U-turn for some quick pivots.
Scald for a strong water attack with a chance to burn.
Hex for a good ghost stab that Doubles if the target has a status condition.

I'd definitely arrange the team a bit differently based on the available options. I'd use Mega Mence, Tyranitar, Metagross, Garchomp, Kommo-O, and Hydreigon.
Since all the pseudo legends are in sword and shield now, I would be curious to see how this team changed with that access.

Tyranitar (Ability: Sand Stream, Item: Zoom Lens, Moveset: Rock Slide, Payback, Protect, Substitute) Otherwise nature/EV is same), 2. Dragonite (Ability: Multiscale, Item: Leftovers, Moves: Rest, Snore, Sky Drop, Iron Head. Nature and EV changes would be: Hasty nature, EV: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP), 3. Metagross (Ability: Clear Body, Item: Scope Lens, Moves: Block/Agility, Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Return. EV change: instead of 4 Sp.Def. I'd go 4 HP), 4. Salamence (Ability: Moxie, Item: Choice Scarf, Moves: Sky Drop, Steel Wing, Dragon Tail, Headbutt. Nature Change: Jolly) 5. Garchomp (Item: Garchompite, Moves: Dragon Claw, Iron Head, Poison Jab, Dig/Earthquake. EV/Nature: Adamant, 252 Attack/Speed, 4 hp), 6. Hydreigon (Item: Choice Specs, Moves: Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, Shock Wave/Flamethrower, Nature/EV is same).
I think the team's great but i strongly think garchomp should have been here

hey mystic, love your vids, but i have a few things I want to mention:
first of all, in my opinion, I think its more effective to have flamethrower on hydreigon instead of dragon pulse. most of the team already has some dragon coverage, so I think its really unnecessary to carry two dragon moves on one pokemon. you can also run sub-nasty plot, which is really really dangerous if you can pull it off and move first most of the time.
in the same vein, I also think its kind of a waste to make salamence's entire moveset flying, and I would propose dragon dance - roost (iirc salamence gets roost but if it doesn't outrage works fine) - earthquake - return is more effective because it counters more types. salamence is walled by a lot of common types, like steel or electric, and having a diverse movepool is better than not because you can hit more pokemon for super effective.
also, hazards are annoying, but I usually run weakness policy dragonite, because even though dragonite is weak to stealth rocks, it gets multiscale, and assuming there arent any rocks (or you have a defogger on your team) dragonite can be a really good sweeper with weakness policy + dd, outspeeding and ohkoing almost any pokemon with espeed (in case you cant get dd off) earthquake, and dual wingbeat / roost.
and also tyranitar gets access to stealth rocks, why don't you run that? I'm not going to rant about how good stealth rocks are but the point is they're really effective and they're really good for the rest of this team, most of which are heavy sweepers who would take a lot of damage from focus sash pokemon. i propose stealth rocks, crunch, stone edge / earthquake, and fire punch, to counter things like ferrothorn.
lastly, I would recommend subbing out either dragonite / kommo-o / salamence for garchomp, because garchomp is arguably the best pseudo legend out there, hits really hard, moves really fast, lots of chip damage with rocky helmet + rough skin, and you already have 2 dragon-flying types, and your team lacks a lot of type diversity imo. i would do outrage - earthquake - iron head - poison jab, but most sets are fine.
The fact Garchomp isn't on the team triggers me.

I feel a better moveset for Mega Salamence would be Dragon Claw and Flying-type Return for STAB, Dragon Dance for setting up, and Steel Wing or sth for coverage against Ice-, Rock-, and Fairy-types.
I like your dragonite set, but I think it could be more useful if you went full tank on it. Since Salamance it taking on the physical sweeper role. I think if you put 252 into Hp and split the rest into defense and special D he would be truly unkillable, with a set like roost, fly, dragon dance and toxic he would be pretty formidable. Especially if he’s carrying leftovers. With multi scale he would always be able to get off 1 dragon dance and then a roost afterwards and then by suing fly you’d always be able to get an extra turn of leftovers recovery. I still like your dragonite set but I think this one could be just as useful
