Seeing a lot of attempts that aren't quite right here. It's pretty clear just watching the video, so I hope this is helpful if you're trying to figure it out. Standard tuning. The key to the whole thing is letting the B and high E strings drone through most of the chords. (And just so everyone is clear, there is one guitar overdubbed to give it an even fuller sound. There's two guitars, lightly panned left and right.) Starting from low to high string: the first chord is x07650, the second is x06650, the third is the trickiest 766800 and then he walks a melody up the G string essentially while holding the chord that goes 766600->766800->766900. (If you have trouble with this chord throughout, a good alternate is 021100.) Chorus is pretty straight power chord: 079900 but keep droning those high B and E strings, then hits the 766800 on his way back to the A (x07650). The change in the chorus goes to a D power chord (x57700), again with the B and E droning--that's the important part if you want it to sound like this. Then just changes order of chords already mentioned above--you can figure it out! Kudos for figuring out an arrangement on acoustic that works. Note, this is not how Slowdive plays it (Neil transposes to just C and D when he plays it acoustic!), but this is a great amalgamation of the guitar/synth sound as a vibe and converting it to a single guitar in a way that captures it nicely. I played this vid a lot during the early days of the pandemic. I was learning how to play guitar and wanted Alison to be the first song I'll ever play. After 15 years of aspiring to be a musician & realizing it may probably not for me (perhaps I was just in love w the idea of playing in a band? idk), I kinda gave up reaching after that dream, but I still love and listen to music a lot. I accidentally saw your vid again and instantly reminded me of those days where my musical dreams were my everything. Thanks for being an inspiration during those times. I've seen so many covers of Alison and yours is still my favorite even almost two years later!
