Honestly this is one of your best videos, it's kind of awesome to see Jordan, LeBron, and Kareem, whoever else, be put on that an all time all NBA type team instead of arguing on strict #1, #2 best players of all time!
Great video! Do you think you can do All-Franchise teams? Basically the best players for a certain franchise (also based on position not fit). Their placement could be based on how they rank on stats, awards, impact, and longevity/loyalty with the team.
Trying it out with my Pistons (going strictly by the players' careers as Pistons): PG: Isiah SG: Dumars SF: Hill PF: DeBusschere C: Lanier This really highlights how both of Detroit's major periods of team success thrived based on fit. Had to leave off a lot of fan favorites and contributors to hugely successful teams. Hill and Lanier were both dudes who put up fantastic numbers with weak supporting casts. And Pistons-era DeBusschere put up decent numbers with a weak supporting cast. With some less rigid positioning, could probably make a case for Bing over Dumars and Rodman over Sheed, but they were primarily PG and SF, respectively, in Detroit. Even at PG, Bing DOES give Isiah a run for his money, and maybe with more skilled teammates to pass to, his assists would be closer to Zeke and he'd be a clearer choice. At SF, Rodman and Hill played similar amounts of time in Detroit, but are such different players and played with such a different set of teammates that it's a really close call. But Hill was The Guy for 6 full seasons, while Rodman didn't transition from role player until halfway through his 7-year Pistons career. Even George Yardley makes a case, relative to his era, at least. PF is definitely Detroit's weakest position, historically. No one with a very long tenure, no one especially efficient...I could easily slot Sheed in there, and he'd probably beat DeBusschere one-on-one, but Dave has better numbers across the board, with a weaker supporting cast. Snubbing both Laimbeer and Big Ben is tough.

The whole “Warriors fans think Steph is better than LeBron” idea is such a straw man. Nobody you should take seriously is making GOAT arguments for Curry.
Really solid teams. Only one I’d personally change would be Shaq and Hakeem. Really tough debate though. Reason I’d go Hakeem is simply because Hakeem is a better defender and he’s much much more reliable at the freethrow line. Then again you could say Shaq is the most dominant force at center in the modern era. So it doesn’t really bug me too much but I’d give a slight edge to the dream
Dream is underrated asf really. His limited success is mostly due to mid level teams and you'd have to have a big 3 to really compete at that time, especially to even win against mjs bulls if he made it there. Undoubtedly tho, Shaq is the most dominant center of all time tho in his prime. No one could stop that man
5 is easily the deepest position historically. all things considered you could put Hakeem, Shaq, Wilt, Kareem and Russell in any order. not necessarily in goat rankings but definitely in this format.
"The most dominant force" - while that may be true, what is it worth? You can measure what the defense and free throws are worth. I'd rather go with what is known. I wouldn't have Shaq here in any spot while Wilt Chamberlain is an option.
If we’re talking pure skill, Hakeem is up there but career wise I disagree. Hakeem playoff failures get swept under the rug too much and his only two rings came in the weakest era in nba history without facing the best team of that era. Plus he failed badly in the late 90s with the chuck, Clyde/pippen super teams.

Your "criticism" of Steph Curry is laughably dumb. "If you take away all the good things he had going for him, I bet he wouldn't be as good!" Wow, brilliant analysis. You have convinced me Curry is the only player in league history who has benefited from having talented teammates!
Agree with almost all of this except the all time 2nd PF. Giannis has to be already better than malone since he's a by far a better defender and even has an outside shot. If not then I would still give it to KG
It’s close but I’d take Hakeem slightly over Shaq due to him being arguably the best two way player ever and his skill set on offense was also so good that exposed David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, and swept the Shaq Magic team that beat Jordan’s team in 95 playoffs.
I would take KG instead of Karl Malone since Malone had John Stockton and even in his best seasons could not come close to Garnett's defensive level from ~2002-2010, but thats just imo
Ok so Charles Barkley was plumber in his prime and Kevin Johnson who dunked on Hakeem. I thought you be more a more class act than that I’m disappointed.
Love the video but this isn’t actually how all nba teams are made. It’s just guard, forward, and center but now they changed it to backcourt and front court, like all star teams.
HOLY SHIT. I have lived so long that the discourse went from "Jordan will never win a title playing that way" to "Jordan ruined the NBA winnin titled playing that way." What a time to be alive.
I would switch Shaq and Hakeem. Hakeem competed against and beat dominant centers during his prime (including Orlando Shaq), while Lakers Shaq feasted on smaller players at his position in the early 2000's. Plus, Hakeem played on worse teams than Shaq and brought those teams to multiple Finals appearances (albeit a 2-1 record). Hakeem has better counting stats than Shaq, and he is considered as the greatest defensive player ever.

Overall....after Kareem, the center position is very versatile on the peak of more names than any position on the court. SG is only MJ and Kobe, SF is always Bron, Bird....then a drop. Honestly, you can still argue for Wilt, Bill Russell, David Robinson and feel like having a superior team. Great job overall
1st Team: Magic, Jordan, LeBron, Duncan, Kareem 2nd Team: Steph, Kobe, Larry Bird, Karl Malone, Bill Russell 3rd Team: Oscar Robertson, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Durant, Kevin Garnett, Wilt Chamberlain
Can we get All-NBA what-if teams? "Almost There" (players who showed flashes, but never developed enough to be much), "Injury Prone" (self explanatory), and Pure Busts (Guys who just never lived up to a lofty potential set up for them and washed out).
It's clear that Lebron is his favorite player. Hating on Curry and saying that Jordan faced a difficult era??? Jxmyhighroller made a video that proves that Jordan's rings were far more harder to win than Bron's.
7:51 thank you, so many people think ppg is the only metric that matters, that shoot first guards are the only true all stars and refuse to take into account other factors such as defense, ball movement, etc. Also, there is a direct correlation of Jordan’s ppg slowly declining while the Bull’s team ppg slowly increases during the years 1987-92 leading to more team success. Jordan also was a monster at stealing the ball and an underrated passer.
I have to disagree with a couple things. MJ played against amazing players, not plumbers. I would probably put bird above kd but i don’t see too much of a problem with it. Other than that, love the vid
The NBA in the early 90's was pretty dang good. The 1995 expansion teams did dilute the talent a lot, though. And a good number of late 90's games were low-scoring, boring, and had too much ball hogging by mediocre players.

I paused the video and for the LIFE of me I couldn’t figure out who you’d have at SF over Bird besides Lebron. This video was awesome! I'd love to see an ALL-NBA TEAMS (1st, and maybe 2nd?) of players that NEVER won a ring!
Your "criticism" of Steph Curry is laughably dumb. "If you take away all the good things he had going for him, I bet he wouldn't be as good!" Wow, brilliant analysis. You have convinced me Curry is the only player in league history who has benefited from having talented teammates!
Here’s my first team all NBA: PG- Davis Bertans
SG-Davis Bertans
SF-Davis Bertans
PF-Davis Bertans
C-Davis Bertans
Agree with almost all of this except the all time 2nd PF. Giannis has to be already better than malone since he's a by far a better defender and even has an outside shot. If not then I would still give it to KG
Giannis is second team no doubt
And a ring !
Better than malone already I know don't know about that
Even if Malone is, in many ways, more accomplished than KG, I'd rather have KG. I value his versatility greatly.
Giannis doesn't have an outside shot, bruh. And Malone was a much better shooter.
"no offense to his wife" do I want to know
"Destroying Plumbers" LMAOO
I'm gonna be dissapointed if Alex Caruso and Brian Scalabrine both get snubbed from the first team...
Barry catching us lacking with the hub😂😔
Could we see a top ten NBA coaches of all time?
I would take KG instead of Karl Malone since Malone had John Stockton and even in his best seasons could not come close to Garnett's defensive level from ~2002-2010, but thats just imo
I would say Stockton benefited more from malone then he benifited from Stockton but I do agree that kg should be second team
It would be interesting to see how these teams would change if you made all NBA teams based on players one best season as opposed to their career
HOLY SHIT. I have lived so long that the discourse went from "Jordan will never win a title playing that way" to "Jordan ruined the NBA winnin titled playing that way." What a time to be alive.
I love this guy’s humour.
Malone’s best moment? avoiding jail
Magic “notorious condom hater”
you’re killing me Barry💀
I would switch Shaq and Hakeem. Hakeem competed against and beat dominant centers during his prime (including Orlando Shaq), while Lakers Shaq feasted on smaller players at his position in the early 2000's. Plus, Hakeem played on worse teams than Shaq and brought those teams to multiple Finals appearances (albeit a 2-1 record). Hakeem has better counting stats than Shaq, and he is considered as the greatest defensive player ever.
Hakeem is 2-1*
My order would look a little different but you got pretty much all the names I would have listed. Nicely done Barry.
Why is Steph the only one criticize for having help😂
He's salty, he won't criticize lebron tho bc he loves him.

I think a list of best quaterback in each nfl draft would be really fucking good
My teams:
Greatest team:
PG: Magic Johnson
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: Lebron James
PF:Tim Duncan
C: Kareem Abdul Jabbar
All time 2nd team:
PG: Stephen Curry
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Larry Bird

C: Shaquille O' Neal
All time 3rd team:
PG: Oscar Robertson
SG: Jerry West
SF: Dr. J
PF: Dirk Nowitzki
C: Wilt Chamberlain
P.S: Placed Hakeen as a power forward because he could do it all and could definitely be the best power forward in today's NBA. Also I wanted to give as much respect to the past players which was missinh from this video. This video was just made for last 30 years. Not all NBA.
Why does the second team sound more scary than the first ? Steph+Kobe+KD+Shaq in the same team sounds beyond crazy.
I low-key expected some trolling but these are some fantastic teams good stuff Barry
Saying without kd golden state doesn’t win another chip is wild, it’s was a 73-9 team with cap space😂
My top 5 Allen Iverson,Michael Jordan,LeBron James,Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal 😅
Great list
The most honest video I’ve ever watched
I need more Chris Paul slander. Putting him as a top 3 pg of all time is a take that I laugh at
1st Team: Magic, Jordan, LeBron, Duncan, Kareem
2nd Team: Steph, Kobe, Larry Bird, Karl Malone, Bill Russell
3rd Team: Oscar Robertson, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Durant, Kevin Garnett, Wilt Chamberlain
Can we get All-NBA what-if teams?
"Almost There" (players who showed flashes, but never developed enough to be much), "Injury Prone" (self explanatory), and Pure Busts (Guys who just never lived up to a lofty potential set up for them and washed out).
PG: Jimmer Fredette SG: Dion Waiters SF: Denzel Valentine PF: Anthony Bennett C: Nerlens Noel 🔥🔥🔥
Russell Westbrook averaged a triple double so I don’t really see the point of this video.
and thats the only light in his career beside his athleticism.
💀
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
This is a certified hood classic
PG: Steph
SG: MJ
SF: Kobe
PF: Lebron
C: Shaq
1st as of talent and impact and position: MJ bron karrem Tim and curry
2cd: magic Kobe KD shaq Giannis
3rd: cp3 dwade hakkem kg bird
Curry Jordan Lebron Giannis Shaq
Magic Wade Bird Garnett Hakeem
Paul Kobe Durant Duncan Kareem
So much Steph slander, just won his “first” real ring. As if injuries don’t happen every year lmao.
It’s joke and he ran to kd so two of those rings are bitch made regardless
I have to disagree with a couple things. MJ played against amazing players, not plumbers. I would probably put bird above kd but i don’t see too much of a problem with it. Other than that, love the vid
The NBA in the early 90's was pretty dang good. The 1995 expansion teams did dilute the talent a lot, though. And a good number of late 90's games were low-scoring, boring, and had too much ball hogging by mediocre players.
The problem with the talent in the 90s is that it was pretty diluted and people didn’t leave their drafted team like nowadays
I still dont think Jordan played against plumbers. I mean look at the Defensive Jail Pistons. He had to go against the JailBlazers. And Larry bird.
Karl Malone’s Best Career moment: avoiding jail 🤣🤣
I'd say it should go like this
1st Team
PG: Magic Johnson
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: Lebron James
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Bill Russell
2nd Team
PG: Stephen Curry
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Larry Bird
PF: Dirk Nowitzki
C: Kareem Abdul Jabbar
3rd Team
PG: Oscar Robertson
SG: Jerry West
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Karl Malone
C: Hakeem Olajuwon
I wonder what you pick as far as of fit(you should probably do that)
I was not expecting to get called out like that in the end of the video 😭
If we’re being true to position
3rd Team
PG: Jerry West
SG: Dwyane Wade
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Dirk Nowitzki
C: Shaquille O’Neal
2nd Team
PG: Steph Curry

1st Team

PF: Tim Duncan
C: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
With all due respect, Mr. Barry, eat Arbys.
to call the 90s a weak era is literally idiotic. great vid regardless barry
It's the 3rd best decade in nba history
Interesting video. I'd have to make room somewhere for Wilt, Oscar and Bill Russell.
As soon as I saw your third team, I pretty much knew your 1st and 2nd, because we all know who the guys are at each position that are UP THERE, though funny enough, I had one exception. I paused the video and for the LIFE of me I couldn’t figure out who you’d have at SF over Bird besides Lebron. It’s not like I can really argue with KD, it’s just funny to me that it didn’t even occur to me to consider him an All-time great. Talent-wise, he is, he’s just so unlikeable he didn’t come to mind at all
My guy, you forgot Ben Simmons… smh barry I’m shitting and injecting marijuanas right now
(But fr I loved the vid. Great concept, would love to see an NFL version as well)
So its unfair when steph recruits KD to come to the Warriors but the Lakers deserved the 2021 Finals when LeBron literally made the team?
Great content as always Barry. The only thingI would change would be replacing Karl Malone with Giannis
Way too early to put Giannis imo.
@Fries yeah. KG was better defensively but Malone is the superior offensive player and it’s not close
