This patented and Made-in-USA shop press is the newest tool from Rogue Fabrication. You need a press that works as hard as you do and doesn’t waste your budget or your floor space. This portable tool can be built several ways to fit into your budget and space:
1. Convert your Harbor Freight press to have a VersaPress ® top and run off the hydraulics on your tubing bender starting under $2K.
2. Buy a standalone VersaPress (our complete made-in-USA solution) - pricing online 24/7 at www.roguefab.com/product/vers...
3. Buy a standalone Versapress and upgrade it with a dedicated 2HP electric/hydraulic power system for the ultimate machine! www.roguefab.com/product/vers...
This machine will accept our precision (also made-in-USA) press brake as soon as we release it later this year.
The table can move WAY down to accommodate large items like transmissions and hub assemblies for bearing press work. The hydraulic cylinder can mount in 3 locations. We show it in the middle in this video, but it can be mounted off to either side as well.
You may have noticed we have OVAL shaped dimple dies (nickel plated) being used in this video. We design, machine, heat treat, and nickel plate these right here in Oregon, USA. They are sold here: www.roguefab.com/product/shap...
The threaded inserts we’re using are called PEMserts. They are available just about anywhere online, including McMaster. We will likely distribute them in the near future!
We will be releasing a precision press brake with accurate back gauge that will fit perfectly in this press. It was designed from the ground up to cater to motorsports and industrial fabrication. That means dimple dies, universal press work, sheet metal nut (PEM) installation, and sheet metal forming (press brake operations)

Compare our press to any other one on the market and you will find that ours has more features per dollar than a Dake arbor or hydraulic shop press, and better rigidity than a Harbor Freight 20 ton press. Unlike the Chinese press brakes being sold by Langmuir and Baileigh, ours is made in the USA and doesn't depend on a proprietary touchscreen and use slow stepper hydraulics like the vs langmuir Titan 25T. Our backstop will be VERY rigid (nearly crash-proof) while still maintaining OSHA safety standards. Thank you. We decided early in development that there should NOT be a touchscreen on a press like this. Too hard to use with gloves, too hard to train new operators on, and too many things to go wrong! The result was an easy to use interface of 2 switches and a dial :)

Great work on the press. You thought of a lot of things to make it awesome and to help people upgrade over time. I definitely like the pressure adjustment and digital read out instead of just a pressure guage. That makes it so you can see exactly what pressure you have instead of somewhere around it.

I like the detail put into the twist lock pins and the ability to dial in a value and press to it. I have used other presses that are really fast and will smash that pem nut through the part. Well done.

I like the versatility of being able to start out with a basic machine and being able to upgrade as the need arises. I myself make several custom parts for motorcycles and hot rods, and also modify custom wheelchairs for people who need something more specific than what most companies can offer. Where this setup would be extremely helpful for me also being part time wheelchair user is in lowering the work height so easily using the hydraulic ram. Right now that’s an extremely difficult thing that I do at least once a day. Please keep up the awesome work at bringing USA made products to the American people!

I like that you guys designed it so that you can use the tube bender to power it. The only thing I think it’s missing is the ability to slide the ram side to side to do offset pressing.

Been welding and fabricating for 25 years an the guy that did the mud life Jeep for Mudlife magazine when I worked at custom truck shop years ago and about a year ago had the opportunity come up to take over and open the doors back up before they close for good on an older automotive machine shop So lots of the tooling and machines are pretty old And boy would love to win some Rogue fab Equipment . I just hope whoever the Lucky person that does win actually uses it and don't just sell it @@RogueFabrication

I like that you make your own controls. Seems to be extremely easy to use and very informational on what is going on when using the press. Hopefully you integrate bending controls at some point when you release press brake kits and dies for this.

Extremely well engineered. For a hobby shop I believe it would be way too expensive though. Hard to beat the HF one for the money. I did a load of modifications to mine. I just have a hobby shop so it’s fine. In the real world of production this is perfect. Well produced video as well 🤙🏻

Have you considered making one with a bit more force around the 40-ton and fast travel speed for blacksmithing? Really like your products been eyeballing a tube bender for a while and your press setup looks great and would easily be adapted to a blacksmithing role.
That is a super good idea for another product down the road....
I would like it if you offered wider top and base that we can swap the guts over if we should want more capacity in the future.

I like the auto up feature, as well as the hydraulic power unit. Is the versa press the same internal width as the other 20 ton presses?
Thank you, we are very proud of it. The VersaPress is 23 inches and the HF press is right around 22.25 inches between uprights.

Yes, the overall defection of the HF press surprised a few of us in the shop when we ran our tests.

Does the hydraulic cylinder exert pressure in both directions?

Can AVK Rivnuts be installed on the press?
If it's possible to press them in, this can do it. I didn't see evidence either way. Just people using the AVK pull tool. I'm sure it's possible, just might need a special tool to go in the press. What size do you use?
