Beautiful wallpaper, the pattern is so restful and just right for a bedroom, love the colour. Renovating can get very tiring but you haven’t got long to go now till you’ve broken the back of it and you’ll be enjoying your new kitchen.

Most of all your prononciations of French words is improving. La prononciation des mots en français montre que vous pratiquez ! I hope the list I gave you a while back is fruitful. I'm checking with a bookstore. I think that I may have found the French book that was used in my college courses. It contained two discs. One accompanied the lectures in the book. The other has the word document in French along with the most comprehensive dictionary and translations a beginner needs to master French. À La Prochaine!
Amazing Darlene the decorator❤❤👏👏👏👏guest room looks so good and no one would guess it was your first time wallpapering. One brilliant thing with doors in France…they just lift off! One side is fixed and the door just lifts off, no unscrewing . Makes up for everything closing for lunch🤣
In Canada we get -30-40 on the deepest winter days. Love the wallpaper and it looks perfect with white panels!! Looking forward to seeing the kitchen tiles!! Best,

Nous avons eu aussi du brouillard hier et j'adore cette atmosphère où les arbres sont dans les nuages. La Dordogne est un magnifique département et vous le découvrirez encore mieux au printemps. La chambre d'invités est très jolie. Profitez bien des fêtes de Noël et de jour de l'An .... bien au chaud !! 😊

We are currently in France looking again for the right village and property in France to purchase. This trip, we are looking around Bordeaux & and Dordogne and then around Valbonne and Avingone. We are working on moving across to France between May and August next year. We will keep you posted as it would be great to be able to book in with you for a few nights next time. Enjoy your trip to Northern Ireland. I live a few miles from Belfast. You will be made very welcome. There are so many places to see ; museums, the Opera House, Titanic centre, pubs and many top class eateries. Your house is coming along very nicely.
Must be very cold there? Be glad you are not back in Brisbane as it has been very hot and humid. Just a quick heads up if you have the same type of hinges that we have on our places in France then the doors and windows should just lift off, makes it very easy to remove them for painting, planing etc, I have done it many times.

The guest bedroom is transformed , what a result 👍👍👍. Sorry but my only concern is about the chandelier (too new ). Very nice floortiles in the kitchen. Are you concerned by the flooding in your village ? Vous habituez-vous à votre vie en Dordogne?
You may be right about the chandelier but I’m mixing old with new so fingers crossed it all works, otherwise I might shabby chique it a bit. Fortunately we are up the hill off the valley floor in Daglan, no flooding yet but the Ceou river is very high!
The troublesome leaf dropping tree looks like it was pollarded for many years. Very common in France, and although the pruning creates its own mess, in does save the gutters and the ground from leaf coverage in winter. The wallpaper is gorgeous, and well done hanging it!

We originally from Melbourne and then moved to Brisbane late 80's and to Airlie Beach over a year ago. We have been discussing relocating to France for some time now and have decided to move forward with those plans. We have been in France for the past few weeks on another reconassonce. We caught the train down yesterday to Bordeaux and hired a car to drive to the hotel at sarlat-la-Canedea. We were unaware of the area and the Dordogne region. We have already fallen in love just with the drive out to the hotel, and now reading about everything the region has to offer We have decided to stay till the 4th and have a good look around. We ate off to estate agents today to see what properties are available. We are planning on the official move between May and August. So if ypy ate open by then, we would live to book in whilst we find a short-term rental or our new home. We will be following your updates with great interest.
