Lucky you! Figs have to be one of my favorite jams, I especially seek it out for Christmas. Please, pretty please be one of those people who restore the vintage window hardware, and restore it it to its original beauty! Loved your couch/nut moment. Yes, DIY is a ton of work! Been there, and still there! LOL
Merci pour vous commentaire! I was quite exhausted during the couch/nut moment so I appreciate your understanding. So you’ve been renovating? Where are you located and how long have you been renovating?
@@DarleneLavett Hi, in the States, new home, built it ourselves, (forever home) (last one, farmhouse style) (2-years old) just making each room special now. A lot of studying, contemplating, (starring)! , I know first hand, you pick up a single board at least 10 times LOL! Tons of sawing, drilling, blah, blah! I know you know exactly what I mean. + plus a yard to install.
Thankyou for you lovely vlog Darleen.. isn't it a pretty sight to see the Autumn Colours now!! I think the whole of Europe has been rained out!! Take heart the sun will shine again!! Meanwhile you guys can crack on with your indoor projects. Can't wait to see the bedroom and kitchen all transformed !!! Hope your nasty cold gets better soon, take care & keep smiling!! ❤
Thank you so much for watching and for leaving a comment! Autumn is something else here with such a stunning colour palette. I love it plus I have nearly finished the bedroom redecoration which I can’t wait to show soon.
Sorry to hear your no well. Autuminal colours are extraordinary really. Good weather for indoor projects, when your well, love the scenery around your area in the Dordogne. I forgot you took in the furbie, very cute. Beautiful wallpaper, love the colour ❣️❣️
Gidday là-bas Darlene - Looks like you are full scale into the renovations, you both doing a top job, remember to take the allocated French breaks, maybe nip down for a cold Rose’ and some pâtisseries françaises de la boulangerie. Shaun did a nice job of the architraves “smicko” Take care love ❤️ your channel, nice blend of music and hopefully you get some “me” time for another piece of artwork, God bless you both 🙏🇫🇷😇🏰
Thank you for your lovely message. I am learning to take these mandatory long lunch breaks. The other day, the mayor saw me in the garden and told me to take lunch 😂
Really love the way you include the websites you use to buy all of your products, very helpful for those that are watching and also renovating in France :)
Its such a pretty village. Cute kitty. Weather here on the Gold Coast has been quite changeable.. hot, then very windy, quite a bit of rain, then nice temps in mid 20s then back 30+ & so on. Changing Pjs every couple nights.
Great table Shaun & the cornice & panelling look fabulous. Mmm I can smell all your yummy fig concoctions. Love how the French have all their festivals, so much fun. Ok thats it now from me😄
Darlene, I had to laugh when I saw your writing, it is near identical to mine. I do similar sketches for all the projects I work on, even for my clients, before I commit to a design. It's incredibly helpful and satisfying. I hope you get Macy Grey a friend, as it will keep her company. The chambre is coming along great. The wallpaper is going to look lovely in the space. Thanks for sharing the fete with us.
Thank you Daisy! I love a good visual 😂 you could talk to me for hours about the look and the dimensions but I always say ‘show me a picture’! And yes I must admit I would love another little tabby cat 🐱 Thanks for saying hi and for following along.
The work on the walls.oops great, always amazed at difference in doing things. In Canada we broad nail everything, where your glueing, personally I’m for the glueing.🇨🇦
With jam Jars... its easier of you wash them, then put them on a baking tray and put then in the oven on about 200C - then they dry out and sterilise and are hit when you decant the jam into them
The "Poudlard Express", the first float in the parade is the French translation for Hogwarts Express from Harry Potter. 😂 Your village is fun, my grandparents live in the Cantal department and their village festivities are either boring or "spiritually rich".😴 Of course, it beats anything happening here in the Midwest of the US, where fair means eating tons of nasty fried food. They had fried butter balls last year!!!! As a gay man, I felt it was a hate crime,
Oh dear! 😂 I think we got lucky with this little community. They are SO much fun! I joke that we live in a retirement village but I’ve never been busier with dinner and party invitations. The work that went into those floats last year was incredible. Thanks for dropping me a line 😊
I am loving your videos i just binge 2atched all of them but was having difficulty hearing you both speaking at times. Are you wearing mikes? I love your choice of decorating of the bedroom and cant wait for the reveal.
Loved rhe beautiful river and walk. Cute doggy, but i really don't want ro hear lip smacking and drinking while you tape. Wish you success 🙏 but thought this may help. I so radio production and that's a no no. Simply because you want to stay professional in all your vids.
@@DarleneLavett glad to hear from you and I will check out another of your vids. When I started out doing interviews one of my engineers said that it just took a moment for listeners to switch the dial...so don't give them a reason to. Best wishes Darlene. 🍁
I love everything you have done so far. Thank you, especially for the film of the festival. Looking forward to seeing the guest room progress. ❤
Thank you so much! So glad you watched to the end to see the fete. I just had to share the experience with everyone!
My goodness. So wonderful.
😍
Looking as beautiful as ever Darlene. Enjoy
Thank you Emmie!

Darlene, I can't believe you haven't gotten more people subscribing to your vlogs outstanding
Oh thank you so much for the vote of confidence! 🥰
It's a TH-cam algorithm issue unfortunately. Fingers crossed some sponsors can kick start that.
Good work on the room
Merci!
BEST WISHES TO YOU

Hello from Sydney. Love the vlogs
Thank you Barbara from Sydney. Hope it’s warming up nicely for you now after a cool winter.
I envy you. Lovely place you have, and figs as well!! it is pronounced Pie AY Ya.
Thank you 🙏 making jam from my own fruit was so much fun! Simple yet so satisfying to have the opportunity and time now.
You are such a classy lady.
I’m Australian so I’m thinking you’re taking the Mickey but if you’re not, thank you! 😁

Gluing I find is so much easier and the building-quality glue you can buy these days is as hard as nails too.
