Shout out to Nibmeister Matthew Chen who has already reached out to me regarding my Visconti. We are going to connect at the Commonwealth Pen show and he will do the nib work here in MA in September. Incredible customer service!! Sadly he won't be at Yoseka. I thought he was attending when I filmed this video. Thank you Matthew!
You have a really soothing voice and I feel your passion about fountain pens through your videos. You're very knowledgeable and I admire you for knowing exactly what you want. It makes me wanna try more fountain pens tbh. Sadly, I am very limited when it comes to inks as I have sweaty hands and ends up smearing my inks when I touch them even after sometime, so I only use waterproof ones. 😊 I love TCMC as well. Hehe. Thank you for sharing your passion with us
I love your trays from TJ Maxx. They're absolutely perfect for a lot of fountain pens. I lucked out at Goodwill once and found a brand new pen box (one layer only with a glass top) for $5.00. I gave it to my husband because he likes more expensive pens like Stipulas. I buy pens for under $100. I so wanted to go to Stationery Fest, but I didn't know if my brother, who is battling a disease, would feel up to going. By the time I knew he was well again, the tickets were sold out! I couldn't have gone if he were still sick. Have you ever been to a trade show for stationery? I went once many years ago. It was not for consumers, but I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for watching Sherry. I'm glad your brother is feeling well again. Sorry you couldn't make it this year. Hopefully you can enjoy all of the recap videos that are circulating on YT. I'll post mine soon. I've never been to a trade show for stationery. Sounds like fun! Take care.
I’m finally going to my first pen show this month in SF! Took me years to decide on going to one at this point - as an introvert I think I was just oblivious to the fact that they existed 😅 Anyhow, have fun at Yoseka and I hope to meet you in person at a show one day now that my seal has been broken.
I went to my first pen show in St Louis this summer. I wasn't sure what I would think but that was it! I'm hooked snd another hobby has taken off! Enjoy the SF Show!
@@deborahmeyer7109 Thank you! I’ve been collecting and using fountain pens for years now but somehow I just never went to any shows. I have a feeling I’ll be hooked too 💕
Oh wow! Too cool. I love the check in videos. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤ and Billy Joel & bookstore. How cool. 😍🙌👏👏❤️ Have fun at the Stationery Fest! 😊
Persuasion is my favorite Jane Austen book. Be sure to watch the movie version with Sally Hawkins. I love it. Also Jane Eyre is another classic book I enjoy. Wishing you a lovely time at Stationery Fest!
Thought of you and Vanessa when I was at the DC Pen Show. After you finish Persuasion, try Emma. It’s a wonderful novel and unlike Austen’s other work. In many ways, my favorite Austen.
Love your videos! I won't be going to Stationery Fest, but I'm enjoying it vicariously by hearing about the plans/ experiences of those of you going. Have fun reading (and rereading) Jane Austen. Persuasion is wonderful.
Also not a purple person, usually, but for some reason with fountain pens, I'm gravitating towards purple - I've been eyeing that Visconti too. My favourite ink is Lamy Violet Blackberry, & I just got a Conklin 1898 Misto in Purple & Rose Gold... I'm all about the purple this summer! I hope you get to try the Visconti, I'm interested in hearing what you have to say about it. Have fun at StationeryFest.
I held the Visconti at Stationery Fest but I was afraid to write with it bc it wasn't in my budget! It is absolutely beautiful! Your Conklin sounds really pretty!
@@timewithtata8004 I'm sure if it's one you really want, you'll find it at the right price for you eventually! The Conklin brand was never on my radar but now that I have this Misto, I'm really impressed & looking at others... there are just too many fabulous fountain pens in this world!
I am going to the first day of Stationary Fest and can’t wait as this will be my first stationary/pen show. I am a nerd so I signed up on day one for the Superior Labor workshop and am so excited I love their products. My sister and I are going and have been mapping out my must see booths. BTW They will have some of the Custom Yoseka Superior Labor bags for sale at stationary fest. 😊👍
You are not a nerd! Lol! I wish I had signed up immediately but I was traveling to the Dutch Pen Show. You're going to have so much fun! Hoping to get one of the bags at the show...but judging from how quickly they sold out online I'm being cautiously optimistic.
I’ll be arriving at Stationery Fest Wednesday afternoon, hope to see u and other Boston-area folks there. I am planning on staying through Saturday and find time to visit other stationery/pen stores. No workshops for me either. I could have sworn I saw something about walk-ins or viewing without participating, but perhaps I dreamed that. Hard to connect without instagram, but I lose enough time to social media as it is!
I hope you and Vanessa, and everyone else lucky enough to attend, have a marvelous time. I, sadly, won’t be able to go. 🤞hoping it will becomes an annual event. I just returned from 2 weeks in Italy and will be going to the New York Sheep and Wool festival in October (yarn and fiber-more rabbit holes to navigate). When I was in Italy I bought a Leonardo Momento Grande 2,0 in Sand, an Aurora O Solo Mio (it was my father’s favorite song so I purchased it in memory of him), and a Visconti Van Gogh in Sunflower. All these from Stilo e Stile in Rome. Wanted a Visconti Hama Sapiens Dark Age while in Florence, but the flagship store was out of them. Natalie, the sales rep was almost more disappointed than I was, and I was pretty disappointed! I consoled myself by buying the pen online from Cult Pens while we were at dinner that evening. That’s a souvenir from Italy and thus a permitted purchase, right? 😉Have a great time.
Enjoy Stationery Fest, it sounds like it is going to be so much fun. Happy to hear that Brad @penaddict will be there, and broadcasting, too, so fantastic. Will be interested to see if you find any wonderful new pens, or are able to get your pens worked on. Oh, and keep meaning to ask, are you signed up for your local Pelikan Hub? Looks like there is one in Boston. They are also so much fun and another great way to also meet other pen enthusiasts. 🌸
May I make a suggestion? Try the mag 600, but also take the time to find Les with Stylosuite if he is there. I have over 40 flex nibs and his are my favorite by MILES. the mag 600 is much more difficult to control than Les's x-wing harpoon.
Not all stores at Woodbury Commons are outlets. Some are retail or just below retail, but many are full price stores as well…(I’m from about an hour from there and went there a ton until the pandemic…my poor wallet😢)

Pride and Prejudice is such a classic book and a true commentary on the times. Nice to see someone enjoying the classics!
I'm loving it! Thank you!

Thank you Lori. Please have fun & coffee/snacks 😉with dear Vanessa at Stationery Fest. 💕💕💕
Oh my goodness Lisa. Thank you so much! You are the sweetest! We'll message you when we are out for coffee. Much appreciated!
Have fun in Brooklyn! I read all the Jane Austen novels in my early teens!
Thank you! I hope to read them all in my 50's lol!
I loved hearing about your SF plans! I'm in the Boston Area too and heading to Stationery Fest for Wednesday. Happy shopping!
Loved meeting you Harmony! I hope you had a great day at SF!
Have a great time! Missed the Juicy Broads at DC Pen Show! Maybe next year?
Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy your weekly catch ups
Thanks for watching!

Hopefully, I'll bump into you. I'm excited to go, too! It should be a lot of fun.
I hope we cross paths! Thanks so much for watching!
Hey Lori! So excited you're going to Stationery fest. I'll also be there all 3 days and really hope to bump into you! 😊
I've been loving red lately! That clutch was gorgeous

Many have recommended Emma! I think I'll have to read them all!
Love your videos! I won't be going to Stationery Fest, but I'm enjoying it vicariously by hearing about the plans/ experiences of those of you going. Have fun reading (and rereading) Jane Austen. Persuasion is wonderful.
Thank you!! I'm almost done with Pride & Prejudice and can't wait to start Persuasion!

This sounds so good, wish I was able to go ☺☺

I am signed up for the Boston Pelikan Hub. It will be my first time going. Looking forward to it!
As soon as you mentioned the Montblanc outlet I may have Google Mapped it to see just how far away from it I was.
😂😂 I see a road trip in your future!
I'm hoping they restock on their engineer bag. They were sold out when I finally made the decision to get it lol.
Same! I even got cold feet in person when they were in stock. #regrets
Hope to see you and Vanessa in Bklyn.
Letters are written in Persuasion.
Where did Claire Coco get those stickers you won from her? I love the art work in those little cottages
I'm not sure. They were so pretty!
Have fun at Stationary Fest. It sold out before I could pinpoint the day I'd be able to go.
Thank you! I think they are selling passes after 4pm as spots open up. Maybe you could get in. Fingers crossed.

Thank you so much! I struggle with flex nibs which is why I wanted to try one in person.
Just picked up a Magna Carta 600, if you plan to get one, make sure you test it before you leave because all the nibs feel slightly different
Enjoy watching your videos. Hoping I get to bump into you and say hi. :)
Sense and Sensability or Emma, I can't decide.
I think I need to read all of them! I'm in the final stretch of Pride & Prejudice and I love it so much!

That would be so dangerous for me if I was as close as you!
Time. Super~professional - be well- :)
Thank you!
Wow, you must be wealthy!!!
Taking Amtrak from Boston 🚊 I’ll be there Wednesday & Thursday - hope to see you 🤗
It was so nice to meet you Michelle! Thank you for my pin!! It made my day!
