This is a FUN mode, but the BIG issue is that DPS is WORTHLESS. you MUST play double tank. THE SECOND issue is the Tank gaps: Zarya, Reinhardt, Dva, Sigma, Hog, Winston, Ball (in this order) are ALL SUPER good when fighting Queen, Doom, Rammattra. Mauga and Orisa do ok for the most part, but its because THEY HAVE the HP pool, and are super selfish and can work. the 3 tanks I previously mentioned SUCK to use, unless the enemy is NOT cringe and does not counterswap, which in that case is an instant loss because take Queen for example, she is good, but if they go Zaria, Zaria has like 75 more Hp, SUPER META powerful bubbles, and has SHEILD HP on top of it all. Zaria should get like a 50 hp buff, but Queen needs a 125 hp buff in 6v6 HP. Tanks should be 425 HP minimum. BUFF Rammattra Doom and Queen... A LOT in the HP department ASAP for this mode...
That's what these hacked events are for right? Data collection and seeing what they need to adjust for future balancing? At least that's what I thought.
I am curious how everyone felt . I had so much fun , this is a middle ground to 6v6 in my opinion . I am a big 6v6 perosn but I dig this , also I want to point out the killsmpwe match seemed higher which is a good thing
I think the mode would be perfect if they just spent a little time tuning it. Right now it feels like 212 is the only viable team but you could fix that with balance
Never played OW1 and I stick to RQ in OW2 so this was new experience for me and it sucked. I always let others pick first since I like flex but every single game was 2-2-1 with me as only support. I can see where 6v6 would be fun but limit 2 5v5 is doomed to fail since dps is so much more popular and 2 tanks are a must have.
I've had teams roll over other teams with they normal 1-2-2 before. 2 Tanks arent a necessity. People just refuse to take cover long enough to live. So they go tank thinking it means a Support will just stare at them.
It’s a small taste. Over all what is good is that the tanks are actually killable as they said here. Once there balance and adjustments for 6v6 each role feels way better
45:50. Yes it did feel like that in OW1. Zarya has 400 HP (as she does in this mode) and Sigma back in OW1 had 400 as well. Here he has 475HP in OW2. Flats always spreading that misinformation.
Its not misinformation. All the DPS and Supports have on average had increased damage numbers and the DPS passive reduces healing output of supports (the hitboxes are also larger, meaning its a lot easier to take damage than it used to be) meaning that while the tanks are similar in how tough they are, the *time to kill* is still much faster and the game is slightly more chaotic than it was in OW1. Its not misinformation, he just didnt explain *why* it feels different, just that it feels different.
@@TheDangerNoodle they said “tanks are too squishy” that’s the misinformation part. Because tanks died quickly in OW1, way quicker than what we’re seeing in this mode. That’s the mis information part.
@ That blatantly incorrect, tanks did not die so quickly in OW1. Its been a running issue in every mode of OW2 that tanks often explode too fast. In this mode they have decreased health pools and are inflicted with a 20% healing reduction when shot by a DPS, and die extremely quickly unless the entire team is dedicated to keeping them alive in the same instant.
@@TheDangerNoodle brother they do. Sigma had 400 HP and only same with Zarya. More spread out cooldowns, less damage reduction on armor, no headshot damage reduction. They’re squishy in OW1 than in here. I played the game nonstop in QP and comp. It’s always been easier to kill tanks there than here. Look at any old OW1 clips from 2021 and see how fast they die
@ I played OW1 for years. The armor system was DIFFERENT but not inherently worse, it worked better against certain types of attacks and worse against certain others. Rein had the headshot reduction, there were way more shields (or at least, all the shields were way harder to break, certain tanks had more HP (all depends on what patch of OW1 you look at), and there was no dps passive to reduce incoming healing. The hitboxes for projectiles were also much smaller, making all players globally less accurate and thus doing less damage, and the actual damage numbers for both dps and supports (the latter javing transformed into just straight up extra dps with characters like Kiriko, Illari,, etc added in OW2) were much lower in OW1 than OW2 due to OW2s ever lasting power creep. So yeah, they ARE squishier, just not always in the HP manner. Their defenses are worse, the healing is worse, the incoming damage is higher, the hitboxes are bigger, etc. its not just about “zarya had the same hp tho!!!”
I honestly enjoyed this mode when I played a couple games of it, I mostly found myself playing Zarya comps. Genuinely the best Zarya games I’ve had since OW2 released. Who would’ve thought that characters designed for two tank comps would work well in two tank comps? 🫨

it wasn’t balanced anyways so it doesn’t really matter

@@CoolGuyFaceMan yep
If I ever play dps it’s always reaper or bastion just to get value as someone who isn’t support or tank

I liked it too reminds me of role queue which I play as well because of the tank health pools lol.
@ yes the tank health is so much , I liked too how I felt more impactful

if you wait, kingmaker might be good if you end up the only support and get a buff
Skibidi sigma 💀💀💀
So glad Marvel Rivals is only a month away.
Honestly, couldn’t agree more. Between that and deadlock I’ll be uninstalling OW
