At the time, I was still new, and wasnt as good on Verdansk. But now I realize, how much I miss that old island, and how I would give anything to go back in time
Almost 2025, I stopped playing Warzone for almost one year now (stopped playing in January 2024), and I still miss the old days.. Not just Verdansk, but the way ppl were playing as well. The toxicity level is only getting worse and especially if you have a high KD (my KD was 3 until I quit) the difficulty and toxicity it is not bearable anymore.. The video just popped up in my feed again and even though I don't miss the current version of the game, the reminder of the good old days always makes me a little emotional.
We didn't realise how good we had it with Verdansk, begged for change and were left disappointed. It's kinda like BF4, we didn't realise how good we had it, the worst thing is Verdansk was a lot more shortly lived.
I remember playing Warzone in the early days. It was, however, really difficult to play without MW2019. Still, It was one of the games you could come back to. It would always be the same and that's not a bad thing! The mechanics, the guns, even the meta. It was different from any other shooter I ever played. I never really played Warzone for the cosmetics, or for kills, I was just trying to have fun. Yet, I met no one I could play with. I transferred to Apex after some time, thinking it would be fun too, and it was! But now, it just doesn't hit the same as it did in 2020 or 2021. The cosmetics, the gameplay, I feel like the game is dying quickly. I came back to Warzone recently and.. was pretty disappointed. The fact that the game, which looked perfect alone, had a good idea and, hell, the attention to details... was now just an addon. I'm playing MW2019 again, I'm going for Damascus and then I hope that Modern Warfare 2 will have at least half of what old Modern Warfare had. I just want to go back in time. I miss Verdansk.
This hit hard. Because I had a life back then. Trying to stitch the pieces back together but nothing will ever top my first solo win when it seemed all was easier. I even made friends online, one of em died from covid, and all my feelings about it are confused. Today under medication and suicide watch, my girl left and I lost my place, the fight is permanent to hold my head up. I love y’all and thank you for standing strong for the past 2 years. I feel you bro. I became father in beginning of 2020 and shortly after my wife left us. Nowadays I got my sh*t together but Warzone and especially Fugglet, Stone, Tomo etc helped me a lot to get some time and space to just enjoy something without fearing the future. I really feel you.

Warzone came out at the right time for me. Not only was we in the pandemic, I was also recovering from having a brain tumour removed and this game got me through it. 2020 Verdansk will always have a special place in my heart

This brings back memories with my step dad. We had played together in COD like Black Ops 2 and 3. I also played verdansk with him. He sadly passed away recently. It brings back so many memories and fun I had with my step dad. I will never forget how much fun we had playing together.

After playing a couple of games of warzone mobile I can confirm that it’s not just nostalgia this map was just so well designed I just had a game where the circle was closing in that area between quarry and farm and damn rotating those buildings felt so right, you could just so easily get a tactical vantage point that wasn’t too high up or campy and it’s why I love verdansk so much

Seeing the clip of the verdansk zombies event just took me back, that had to have been the fucking best limited time mode ever. Legitimately had a blast playing during that time. The best part was when you got a little tired of playing you hop on TH-cam and watch Westie,Stone,Aculite,Jack,Fugglet,Tomo…. Have a blast playing as well. This songs great brings a tear to my eye.
God I miss those days, me and the boys would play every second that we weren't in online classes, our first win was huge to us. I just hope with MWII we can get back to the old Warzone style, the new ones just aren't it for me.

This was so good brother. I launched Warzone on day 1 with my buds, never having played a BR game before. It took us through some tough times and we finally got wins as middle aged dudes. It has changed a lot. It would be cool if they relaunched OG Verdansk as a sign off for Warzone before WZ2 comes out. Thanks a ton!
The og verdansk was great, and much better than caldera, but cw verdansk didn't have empty spaces in which someone with a Kar 98 snipes you and takes you to the gulag. The rest from cw is worse than mw.

This need sooo many more watches. I honestly don't care where I land anymore. But man...back then, calling out the drop at superstore, downtown, stadium.. it meant something. Every location had its own feeling, it's own play style. Miss it so much. And the fact that no one in South Africa plays BR anymore tells me that everyone else also doesn't like the new map. Atleast compared to the good old Verdansk.

I remember playing Warzone in that first lockdown with one of my best friends and that was our way of being with each other whilst we couldn't see each other in person. He passed away late last year, so I'll always be grateful for verdansk for those early lockdown memories with him.

Now there are only weapons made of wood with 10 slots that you can easily make it mega powerful and 0 recoil like the AUTOMATO, this takes the fun out of the game for me. ive been playing warzone since the month it came out, and this really made me feel sad knowing that the feeling of playing a game like how it was in the beginning is gone.
I never played MW2019 myself but I would watch my friends stream it on discord and we would have so much fun just talking and doing dumb things… This song hits different, this song was the first reason in years I shed a tear for a good reason. Thank you for this Tomographic, even us operators who were never deployed to the Warzone, it changed our lives. We salute the fallen land of Verdansk, but it will never leave us. Now we have Warzone mobile coming soon, meaning Verdansk is never truly gone, it will just be in our hearts and pocket. Never forget Verdansk fellow operators, but make sure to focus on the future, because the future, looks very promising.
Update: I've sent this to my squad. We all admited later that we all shed a tear about good ol days in Verdansk. We all lived in a one flat (not anymore) and for the first time we were able to play one game on everything - Xbox, PlayStation, notebook and PC. One lan party in the living room. I feel you bro. I became father in beginning of 2020 and shortly after my wife left us. Nowadays I got my sh*t together but Warzone and especially Fugglet, Stone, Tomo etc helped me a lot to get some time and space to just enjoy something without fearing the future.

Warzone came out at the right time for me. Not only was we in the pandemic, I was also recovering from having a brain tumour removed and this game got me through it. 2020 Verdansk will always have a special place in my heart

man, i can’t think about verdansk not only because it was the greatest at the time, it is also because i lost 4 people i loved all before verdansk was destroyed. i still miss all the people i used to play with.
This brings back memories with my step dad. We had played together in COD like Black Ops 2 and 3. I also played verdansk with him. He sadly passed away recently. It brings back so many memories and fun I had with my step dad. I will never forget how much fun we had playing together.

After playing a couple of games of warzone mobile I can confirm that it’s not just nostalgia this map was just so well designed I just had a game where the circle was closing in that area between quarry and farm and damn rotating those buildings felt so right, you could just so easily get a tactical vantage point that wasn’t too high up or campy and it’s why I love verdansk so much
The vibes this music brings... Never thought 2020 would be nostalgic. Guess every year will be after a certain time passes.. Don't look back guys, keep moving forward and make more memories.

This hits me right in the feels. Warzone was one of the few things I looked forward to during the pandemic because it was fun and allowed me a degree of socialization. This song makes me realize how important this game was to my mental health.

Seeing the clip of the verdansk zombies event just took me back, that had to have been the fucking best limited time mode ever. Legitimately had a blast playing during that time. The best part was when you got a little tired of playing you hop on TH-cam and watch Westie,Stone,Aculite,Jack,Fugglet,Tomo…. Have a blast playing as well. This songs great brings a tear to my eye.

This was so good brother. I launched Warzone on day 1 with my buds, never having played a BR game before. It took us through some tough times and we finally got wins as middle aged dudes. It has changed a lot. It would be cool if they relaunched OG Verdansk as a sign off for Warzone before WZ2 comes out. Thanks a ton!

The og verdansk was great, and much better than caldera, but cw verdansk didn't have empty spaces in which someone with a Kar 98 snipes you and takes you to the gulag. The rest from cw is worse than mw.

This need sooo many more watches. I honestly don't care where I land anymore. But man...back then, calling out the drop at superstore, downtown, stadium.. it meant something. Every location had its own feeling, it's own play style. Miss it so much. And the fact that no one in South Africa plays BR anymore tells me that everyone else also doesn't like the new map. Atleast compared to the good old Verdansk.

I remember playing Warzone in that first lockdown with one of my best friends and that was our way of being with each other whilst we couldn't see each other in person. He passed away late last year, so I'll always be grateful for verdansk for those early lockdown memories with him.

What I miss the most is the laughter in verdansk, EVERY weapon you picked up it would have a huge recoil or a little less, you would try to hit someone and the scope would jump up, I couldn't stop laughing when that happened. Now there are only weapons made of wood with 10 slots that you can easily make it mega powerful and 0 recoil like the AUTOMATO, this takes the fun out of the game for me.
Another thing I remember was the minefield lol, that famous place on the edge of the map, the storage (I think is this) where 40 teams fell and it was a mess especially in the "conflict"

ive been playing warzone since the month it came out, and this really made me feel sad knowing that the feeling of playing a game like how it was in the beginning is gone.
This is absolutely perfect Tomo. The little jab at Stone dying to fall damage was perfect.
I never played MW2019 myself but I would watch my friends stream it on discord and we would have so much fun just talking and doing dumb things… This song hits different, this song was the first reason in years I shed a tear for a good reason. Thank you for this Tomographic, even us operators who were never deployed to the Warzone, it changed our lives. We salute the fallen land of Verdansk, but it will never leave us. Now we have Warzone mobile coming soon, meaning Verdansk is never truly gone, it will just be in our hearts and pocket. Never forget Verdansk fellow operators, but make sure to focus on the future, because the future, looks very promising.

This hit DIFFERENT. Verdansk was what got me through all the lockdowns that the UK had. Countless hours spent playing with friends, and although it was sometimes frustrating, it was a lot of fun. Great song, loved it!
