ภัทร หนุ่มทะเล้น กากเกรียน และ ปราณ หนุ่มเนี้ยบ มาดคุณชาย ผู้ที่ถูกฟ้าลิขิตให้เป็นศัตรูกันตั้งแต่ยังไม่เห็นหน้า เพราะพ่อแม่เปิดร้านอุปกรณ์ก่อสร้างอยู่ข้างกัน แข่งกันตัดราคา แย่งลูกน้อง เกลียดกันชนิดไม่เผาผี ทำให้ทั้งคู่ถูกวางตัวเป็นคู่แข่งกันตั้งแต่เกิด ไม่ว่าใครคลานได้ก่อน เดินได้ก่อน เรียกพ่อแม่ได้ก่อน ทุกอย่างล้วนถูกเอามาเปรียบเทียบเกทับกัน
แต่วันหนึ่งตอนที่ทั้งคู่อายุ 12 ปี กำแพงความเกลียดชังของทั้งคู่ก็เริ่มมีรอยร้าว เมื่อ ภา น้องสาวของภัทรขี่จักรยานพลัดตกน้ำในคลองหมู่บ้าน ระหว่างที่ภัทรยังทำอะไรไม่ถูก เป็นปราณที่กระโจนลงน้ำไปช่วยภาขึ้นมา เหตุการณ์นั้นก็ทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ของคนทั้งคู่เปลี่ยนไป แม้ภายนอกจะดูเป็นคู่แข่งกันเหมือนเดิม แต่ลึกๆ ข้างในก็ไม่เกลียดชังกันเท่าเดิม
จน ม.3 อาจารย์ให้ทั้งคู่ฟอร์มวงดนตรีด้วยกัน ทำให้ทั้งคู่ต้องใกล้ชิดกันมากขึ้น
4 ปีต่อมา โชคชะตาก็เล่นตลกเมื่อส่งให้ ภัทร เข้าเรียนปี1 เป็นประธานรุ่นฝั่งวิศวะ ขณะที่ ปราณ เป็นประธานรุ่นคณะสถาปัตย์ โดยที่ทั้ง 2 คณะเป็นคู่แค้นกันมานาน ทำให้ภัทรและปราณต้องกลับมาตีกันอีกครั้ง เมื่อภารู้เรื่อง ก็วีนแตก ยื่นคำขาดห้ามภัทรทำร้ายปราณเด็ดขาด เพราะบุญคุณที่เคยช่วยไว้ ทำให้ภัทรไปขอทำข้อตกลงกับปราณว่าจะแอบแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล เพื่อหาทางหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ให้ทั้ง 2 คณะทะเลาะกัน ปราณเองก็ไม่ชอบมีเรื่องเลยยอมตกลง
ทำให้ทั้งคู่เริ่ม “ความสัมพันธ์แบบลับๆ” ที่จะเป็นเพื่อนก็ไม่ใช่ ศัตรูก็ไม่เชิง แต่บันเทิงใจคนดู
สุดท้ายแล้วมิตรภาพบนความขัดแย้งของภัทรและปราณจะไปสิ้นสุดที่ตรงไหน ความลับจะแตกลงเมื่อไหร่ พ่อแม่จะยอมรับหรือไม่ หรือสุดท้ายจะมีวันที่ความขัดแย้งคลี่คลายหรือไม่

OhmNanon really brought justice in portraying Pat and Pran. Their chemistry is amazing. It's something that will make you go crazy eventhough they are just staring at each other. They are such a great actor. It's fantastic how they can perfectly pull this series off and make people fall inlove with them.

Bad Buddy series literally set the bar SO HIGH I'm afraid nothing can come close to it. Ohm and Nanon's acting are just phenomenal. There are unique elements incorporated in this series so even if the plot is cliché, with P'aof as the director, as well as OhmNanon's acting, the cinematography, the soundtracks, and the transition of scenes, they took this series on another level and made it memorable. All the casts did so well in their roles and they did it really effectively. PatPran's chemistry and character development is awesome, I'm not ready to say goodbye to this series :((

Nanon, in only 10 seconds shows us how to climb a half dozen steps while he's got something on his mind, his actual climbing of the steps almost an afterthought. No dialogue, just an extremely capable young actor using his acting skills. Ohm's reaction shots that follow at 12:25 are of equal quality.

Edit: I love the transition from them running away from parents problem and running into hearing about Junior and his mom issues...like it helps the story run smoothly so they themselves can sort out their own issues with their parents.

Facts: 3:45 Junior is a contestant in Thailand's Masterchef Kids program. He is now a young adult, very cute.
11:35 "I'm more concerned about he eats & sleeps. It's a mother thing." Nanon stops at the water's edge and reflects on what she just said and thinks of his own mom. Director Chaiwimol makes a rare mistake here and inserts a wordless clip of Pran at home with his mom & dad; he didn't need to do this. Nanon's acting is quality and said everything we needed to know.

It's obvious that Pran loves his mother very much and that this conflict has him so down and sad for the same reason, on the one hand he doesn't want to hurt his mother or worry her, he loves her and just wants to see her happy, but on the other he feels betrayed and rejected by her. Pran and Pat love their parents, but they also love each other, and the love they have for each other is just as precious in their hearts as the love they have for their parents; that is why it is so painful for them to accept their parents' requests once again when it means losing each other. They don't want to lose their parents but neither do they want to lose themselves or abandon their love. They just want their parents to accept them so they can love each other in freedom and they are not willing to give it up just to keep their parents happy no matter how much they love them, and that at the same time is painful, the whole situation is painful. We are all supposed to have the right to love and be loved by the people we choose and who choose us.

I really think that OhmNanon getting casted for these series in particular feels like winning the jackpot lottery for P’Aof and GMMTV. They fit perfectly for they’re respective roles not to mention their powerful chemistry. Ughh everything in this series is just 👨🍳 😘

Just have to say hats off to whole cast.. story acting direction chemistry each and evrything is justtt.... soooo.... indescribingly good..
The best writing advice I ever received was that figuring out the beginning and the ending of a story is easy and there's a lot of formulas for how to write a beginning or an ending, but many writers tend to overlook the potential of the middle of the story. The middle of the story is the part where you as a writer have the most freedom, and where you get to put EVERYTHING THAT YOU ALWAYS WISHED TO SEE IN A STORY!
And that's exactly what I think director Aof has done with Bad Buddy: he put all those lovely and romantic domestic scenes that he always wanted to see in a story about two guys in love and in a serious relationship for the first time. That's why we see them kissing with ketchup on their faces, why they burn sausage in a frypan because they're too focused on flirting, make a public love confession, reunite with their friends through a sports game, dance in public, prepare a fish they caught themselves together, and so on.
And btw, if you tend to get bored with a couple once they get together, it's because the writer in question isn't good at writing what comes after the "will they or won't they". Honestly, most people can write a decent "will they or won't they", but the real skill is being able to write what comes afterwards. Bad Buddy focuses as much on developing what happens after that first kiss as on what came before, and this is one of the man reasons that this series is telling a story much more interesting than the average romance.
At 3:55 you can see that Ohm improvised and the Junior actor really wasn't expecting hahahahaha
The moment Junior said that he *felt sorry for Pat's lover and then proceeded to look at Pran* Gahh!! He knows. Even Jr. knows!!

I just wanted to say that these two really brought justice to the characters and portrayed the story very well. They basically nailed every episode that you just can't wait for the next Friday to come and don't get me started that we are on episode 11 because I don't wanna talk about it.
Bad Buddy is the first bl series I am watching and I can't decide whether it is a bad or a good thing. On one hand, it is just so wonderful- the acting, the story, the chemistry😍; right up my alley but I don't know if I'll be able to watch another series without comparing it to this one😭

I've never liked a series this much, but this was just so different I could feel every emotion and their acting was amazing. I hope gmmtv makes a season 2 or that we get to see this couple in another series soon ❤️

I like how they (finally!) show us a sex-wise verse/switch couple in a healthy, communicative and mutually appreciative relationship full of caring reciprocity and emphathetic and logical compromises. Pat was topping since ep 8, this is Pran’s 1st time topping, hence his question: “Was I good?” This and lots of other trope-defying BBS stuff ventures into realities of actual gay relationships. Before in BLs it was mostly heteronormative narrative imposed on same-sex relationships. Now - a fujoshi/fudanshi fantasy crossing over into a more realistic queer representation in Thailand. Temporary and mutually agreed “break-up” to appease and reconcile the families and eliminate obstacles is just a voluntary way of losing 1 battle to ultimately win the entire war for their eternal love and being together with full acceptance from the most important people in their lives.

They are setting the bar higher every episode. I mean, Its like they are outdoing themselves every week, the actors, the storyline, the cinematography and the soundtrack, all are getting better and better every single episode. This is the perfect story and perfect relationship. Pat-Pran love story is the epitome of a Too good to be true Love Story. Their acting is always beyond on point, all aspect of bad buddy the series is freaking awsome, as in 10 out of 10 and no one can argue with that unless they fight me dead. This series is a Gem for GMMTv and i bet this Bad buddy the series wont be surpass by any series even after decades, atleast for me, unless NanOhm and Aof surprises us all with season 2 and outdo their performance in Season 1. Thank you all for showing us that healthiest relationship ever told to date. Thank you for making us smile and showing us how it felt to love and to be loved back, and when to give way and when to meet half way in a relationship!

Esta parte del capítulo te da entender masomenos como afronta la situación cada uno. Mientras Pran aun añora a su familia, Pat ya empieza mirar hacia adelante, pero aun pese a esa diferencias ambos siguen juntos, apoyándose y preocupándose por el otro. OhmNanon, mostrándonos como siempre el pedazo de actores que son.

I never thought I would be hooked with BBS. Definitely a worth watching series. OhmNanon really gave justice to the characters so well, its giving me butterflies all the time.

Can we just appreciate the background-the scenery? Everything in the University was prominent and intricate and their relationship was rocky when we were there. Once they're in the countryside, the scenery shown in the interlude almost synchronises the colour. It's all uniform but beautiful nonetheless.
