All day one buys: Star Ocean The Second Story R, Super Mario RPG, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, Granblue Fantasy Relink, FFVII Rebirth, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes and Paper Mario - The Thousand Year Door. We JRPG fans are eating well these days!
I can say personally I'm super excited for Persona 5 Tactica, and don't have an issue with them bringing that cast back again and again. I see why most people do have issue with it and wish they would move on, and in a way I do want to see what else they could, but I absoutly love that cast and have not had near enough to burn me out
Personally, this list is missing Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth for me. Maybe not in the same style as other JRPGs, but the first one was a great take on the Yakuza series combining with a RPG style.
ATLUS is definitely milking Persona 5 too much. Plus also Persona 3 Reload, Metaphor Re:Fantazzio and Unicorn Overload are overshadowing it largely due to two of them being new IP. Outside of that, I really Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince does well so we can get some of the Japan-only DQM 3DS games localised at last.
I am most excited for Super Mario RPG and Star Ocean! Please Square, give the same treatment to Vagrant Story and Xenogears. I will give you all my money!
I don't know how much people will enjoy Granblue Fantasy ReLink. From everything I've seen, it play very much like a console version of Dragalia Lost. There isn't a big world to explore, but everything is made of smaller stages capped with a boss fight of some kind. I don't know how much of the gatcha and loot system are coming with it, but it could be a big turn off.
I wasted money on the first Star Ocean on Switch, "Departure R". Literally every 2 steps on the playing field there would be a fight. You couldn't get anywhere at all. So I deleted the game from my system. So aggravating.
So square is trying to make part 2 look way better than part 1. And presumably part 3 the same way. So by the time we get there they wont really match? Im getting sick of FF 17 at this point. Theyll remake any old rpg the right way but not the best one.
@@FelixS. 7 is for the historical significance of it. 9 is good but 7 is objectively better for the impact on gaming it had. And i bet if they remake 9 it will be a remake not a complete reimagining like this 7 remake.
@@crono_8398 better has nothing to do with impact and you don’t comprehend the term „objective“. It is impossible to rate entertainment media objectively. What I agree on is that FFIX will have a straight up remake, nevertheless FFVII R is neiter remake nor reimagening but a sequel. The events of the OG FFVII took place in the universe of FFVIIR canonically.
@@FelixS. I say objectively bc the size and scope of the remake. Most think of it as not only the best FF but also revolutionary. So square enix is making it a bloated remake or whatever you want to call it. Also why FF9 would only get a proper remake instead of this type of treatment. For me subjectively 7 is my #1 and then 6 and then 9.
@@FelixS. And dont be so smug its just video games, whatever FF VII remake is, it is not a sequel to itself. Heres the part where i throw it back at you like a smug prick saying you dont comprehend what a sequel is and apparently dont comprehend objective since the game is getting such a remake its objectively a big deal to square to make it. Objectively more people subjectively like 7 the most.
@playeressence hey just wanted to say I enjoy your videos but I often hear you say JRPG.. idk if you know but they stayed they find that offensive and would like it to stop. Keep up the good work I just wanted to lyk if you haven’t known already.
Honestly im interested in Unicorn Overlord. Its the new strategy rpg.
Great list! Wanted to make a little correction that the protag from DQ Monsters is not actually a new character, he is the villain from DQ 4. 😊😅

Solid list 👍 2024, let's go!

Definitely excited for FF7 Rebirth and Granblue fantasy Relink

I WISH we would get more dragon quest localisations.
I will take as many Persona 5 games as I can get because the main game is so amazing. Maybe I’m part of the problem…😂
I’ll take the yoghurt they make. Love the characters and series
@@devinreed21You are in good company on that 😂
Most of these are already on my radar
Persona 5 getting ultra pasteurized at this point.
Super Mario RPG is a day 1 purchase for me because i crave for games like that as a gamer always love and respect Role-Playing Games. ❤

The only game from this list that i buy is granblue fantasy relink
Suikoden?
The end of the year is booked.
SMRPG and DQM. I love persona 5 but I’m done with it. persona 5 strikers was alright.
Considering the fact that Rockstar has milked GTA into powder for 10 years, I cannot find fault with Atlus and their P5 spin-offs.
Deca police us tge one I want

IX is the best.
And FFVII "Remake" is no remake but a sequel with the narrative subtitle "Remake".

I'm surprised that hogwarts legacy is 6.8 gigs. If I were buying it I'd be very concerned

That's what they are, and this mysterious "they" will need to get over it.
nobody finds it offensive but snowflakes and maybe Square bc Square got woke
JRPG JRPG JRPG!!!!!!!
How do you call RPGs from Africa?
Right, NRPG.
