Great video series! I also like that you are talking in your latest videos. By the way: Definitely keep the "we must deal with it" punchline. It always makes me smile and I have to think of some unfortunate PlayDo creature that is dealt with in a certain other channel :-) I found that there was enough slack in the brake and speedo cables to geht the whole front wheel assembly out of the wheel well without detaching them. It is a little awkward to work with the Suspension while it dangles along the underside of the quest but it can be done and saves some time. A spoke can be helpful when you need to get the springs out.
Hi, thank you for this very interesting video. I would have liked to know the length of the original shocks and the short models. Did you measure it? You're not too embarrassed with the lower ground clearance? Thank you and good continuation.
I did measure them. See here: www.saukki.com/2017/02/questin-paivitys-upgrading-quest/ The original springs are 115 mm long and the short springs are 25 mm shorter.
In my latest video you can see my thoughts about the new suspension. No problems with the lower ground clearance. th-cam.com/video/YYMRts14e8M/w-d-xo.html
Hello Saukki, I love the videos you make, it is a very good advertisement for the velomobile. I have some questions to ask you. What is the length of your rear shock between the 2 bindings? Do you have 10 speeds in the back? With which model of derailleur? Thank you for this information and for your very interesting videos.
Sorry, I don’tvremember the rear shock lenght. But I recently found out that if you tell to the guy selling those that it is for a model with carbon rear swingarm, they will cut it to right lenght. I didn’t so that’s why mine was too long. I have Sram XO 10-speed rear derailleur.
Can it be made taller, too? I want a velomobile, but need more ground clearance. My city streets have many big and deep potholes. I would constantly be scraping the bottom and sometimes get stuck.
Tällä hetkellä joo. Marathon plussat edessä ja takana. Sitten kun hiekoitussorasta (tappajasepelistä) päästään, niin vaihdan eteen Schwalbe Shreddat ja taakse Schwalbe Marathon Almotionin. Itse asiassa Marathon plussan pistosuojaus on aika huono. Mun kinneri ajoilla olen saanut puhkaistua vaan Marathon plussat. Ja vielä monta kertaa.
Interesting, not a simple job but not a nightmare either. This video will be gold to anyone attempting the spring change themselves.
Yes. For first time it's a lot of learning, but when you have done one strut, the other one is easy because you know what to do.
You're lucky you have a manual. I have a Hilgo, so it's figure it out as I go.
Love your tee-shirt. Great series
Good video, nice to see how to work on a velomobile.
Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! That will be useful if I have to do something to the front suspension with only a little time.
Great work. Very methodical.
Thanks!

Peaso curro , seguro que notas la diferencia , saludos .

Yes, it could be made taller, but you don’t want to do that to a Quest. It’s too unstable. Quattrovelo would be more suitable for higher suspension.
@@TheVelomobileChannel Ok, thanks. Nice, it has 2 wheel drive, too!
I love your music what is the band and the song name? Keep on rocking and making great video's.
Sulla on varmaan pistosuojatut renkaat?
