Today before I leave I am going to fill up a bucket of shells from the surf, to sift through. In your previous demonstration you did not collect any shell from the surf to sift through !
I have never tried sifting before but most of what I see is people sifting waste deep on the surf . I think that would make for a great video.

With the size of some of the Wyoming ants, that’s no stretch of the imagination! 😱😂

Ashby, I've been binging your videos and reading your book (and now reading more geology/fossil books!). Thanks! I'm learning so much! Question: Do you clean all of your beach finds? (Should I soak fossils in water to desalinate them or soak shark teeth in white vinegar even if they are relatively clean?) Thanks for any advice!

Hi Taylor, glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the channel! Glad to have you as a supporter! All of the fossils shown only ever get a freshwater soak or a light scrubbing with a toothbrush. If you see any white salt crystals precipitate out on the surface after they’ve dried, just soak them in freshwater for another spell. Avoid using anything like bleach or strong cleaners! Happy hunting! 🦈

I truly am enjoying your video's! Actually the reason for these shark teeth being in Wyoming, can be found in the Bible in the first book Genesis chapter 6 the God who created the earth sent a flood to destroy the wicked people and a flood covered the earth about 6000 years ago.
