I am 50 yrs old and long time rock and roll gal. I just this year have discovered NF this year. I have been blown away by his content. He IS A MODERN DAY SHAKESPEARE TO ME. His songs mostly all connect to each other like a novel. But this 31 yr old young man has managed to put into words what I have tried for more than 40 yrs to get out and put into words for myself but haven't managed to. I knew that there had to be others going through things that I was but none that I knew. He has managed to bring together a group of fans that all walk in each others shoes. He has changed my life. Self harm isn't something new. It's not a modern day problem I self harmed as a child and i thought i was alone and a freak. I truly am moved and touched by every track he has and I am so thankful to have discovered him.
Thanks NF from a OUTCAST GRANNY!

Honestly it’s very poetic if you listen in order of albums. You see his story with fear and trying to kick him out of the mansion which is mentioned in a few songs and comes to a conclusion in “Intro 3” as well as his struggle with fame is mentioned in a couple.
He does a lot of references as the albums continue and is awesome to identify lyrics in one song that references lyrics from a song before! It all comes together very well.
Another example is in Mansion he talks about “Losing my Mom” and then says “we don’t have enough room in this song” so then he comes out with “How could you leave us… Super amazing!!!

I found your channel when you watched the first NF. There is a list of NF Journey songs because NF will use reference from previous songs in current songs. He also personifies emotions like fear or pride and use in different songs. I hope you will follow the journey in order as it is very cool how he has built upon ideas. Good luck and have enjoyed your first two responses.

This is the title track for the second album. Mansion was the first and there are 'a few' songs on that album that you really need to listen to. ALL his albums really, all the Intro songs... Nate connects so many songs together even between the first and fourth albums. It's so genius and he does it effortlessly! Here's my favorites from each album. If there is a video, don't miss it. Some lyric videos have incorrect lyrics too
Mansion album... Mansion, All I Have, Notepad, Paralyzed and I'll Keep On
On this album... Therapy Session, How Could You Leave Us (HARD one, but necessary DON'T FORGET THE TISSUES!!), Real, Oh Lord
Perception album... Outcast, Let You Down, My Life, If You Want Love, Remember This, and Outro
The Search album... ALL OF THEM!!! But I have Change, My Stress, I Miss the Days and Thinking on my playlist for when I need to disconnect and de-stress.
Clouds (the mixtape) Just Like You, Drifting, Lost and Prideful are my favorites
There is a LONG list that a few people typically share, the NF journey... they are in order because of the story they tell. Skipping around is like reading chapters of a book out of order, seriously. Either way you choose to do it, I am here for it!!! I love your insight and feel your empathy. Empaths know empaths 💜

Thank you for reacting to more NF! I really enjoy listening to your comments and analysis, especially because of your background and beliefs that relate to Nate and myself. NF's music (art) has helped me through some tough times over the past year, especially "Paralyzed" and "Change". The ones that you mentioned and I see in the comments are great too. I was able to take my 12 year old daughter to his concert last year in Michigan and the atmosphere was unlike any other concert I have been to and I have attended many across a bunch of different genres. It seemed like everyone there was a good person... kind, courteous, etc. which unfortunately is not that common anymore.

He's the GOAT. I love the part of his reaction where he broke you and then the other part you started shaking your fist.🎃
Now you know why it's called #realmusic. I definitely would go on the journey and start the very beginning so a lot of the stuff makes sense. For example, these family members and these kids come back in another video down the road.. God bless.
Edit: I'm running through these comments. Don't get fooled by people telling you not to take the journey. Trust me on this one. If you want to experience his full art and understand all of the symbolism you have to start at the beginning. I will support you either way but if you don't, one day you will get to a point and be like, damn, I should have started the beginning. Every reactor says that that hasn't taken the journey. God bless and I look forward to the fist shaking again.
Intro 3 is probably the best song ever recorded but you need to start at the beginning for it to make total sense. God bless ❤️

The most frustrating part is that despite his obvious talent and the VERY important messages he talks about, the mainstream radio just won't place his songs. He is so much better then what does get national attention. He has a passionate fan base but there are so many more people out there that need to hear him and don't get the chance.

NF imo is a very realistic and emotional rapper, and that's why I love listening to him (because i mostly feel what hes feeling as well). I agree with the fact that there will be so many NF requests within this journey, so Imma keep my request list short, since Paralyzed is already being requested a decent bit. I only have one request of a song. It is a hidden gem of a song off his 2019 album "The Search": Trauma. It's an audio video, and it's a song that imo basically highlights what it's like with depression and an abusive relationship with yourself and/or someone else you're close to. I found you because of listening to NF, and I hope I can continue the journey with worldly music as well

Music has been my "Therapy Session" for about 20 years now.. it feel strange to think I've been dealing with these kind of things for so long, but after 20 years I'm still struggling and trying to find a way to make things better. The system is broken, and people need help, but so many of us can't afford to go see doctors, therapists and psychiatrists every week. I fight and fight, and continue to try and find my reason, but it's not easy. Artists like NF, who aren't afraid to make music about real things, and real problems, are one of the reasons I keep fighting, and keep trying to find a reason. As I've grown older, I've learned that more people are broken than I originally believed, and I believe the major problem relies on money. We need to make sure people can get the help they need, regardless of cost, or whatever else. If people have problems, but can't talk about them without being made out to be some kind of monster, or selfish person.. how can we expect to help people....
Suicide and mental illness are problems that we as humans have ignored for far too long....

NF using writing as a form of therapy for himself inspired me to get into writing poetry. And that helped me work through a lot of stuff. I look up to him a lot.

It kinda reminds me 9-10 Years back in time, I discovered Jake Millers "A Million Lifes" (It's not that dark like Therapy Session), or Rise Against - Make it Stop, but every now and then I listen to this Song and it reminds me of hard years of finding myself and building up self confidence for myself. Luckily I never fell in such a deep hole but I kinda was on the Edge of it.
In Millers song, he tells of three stories from his fans and it touches me every Time I listen to. And Make it stop is a Tribute to the Septembers Children,

i just found your channel today its awesome. i did find this as an nf fan i like how he makes rap more poetic then what people think about when they think of rap. also as a man going through stuff and doesnt let anyone close to him know i can relate a little bit to it. and your reactions and breakdown of it add a little extra to it and thats a nice touch keep it up. your doing great have a blessed one.

NF is so good. Most songs are deep, emotional, sometimes dark. But he also has ones where he just shows his lyrical ability... his "flexing" songs if you will. And he has a good singing voice. Just overall a great artist.

Haven’t listed to rap for years. Haven’t cared for it. Until Ren now (and it’s largely because he articulates so clearly that I, as a non-native English speaker, can understand the lyrics). That said, NF seems amazing. Mad respect for what he is doing.

This is my first time seeing one of your reactions. I really liked how you broke down his lyrics and the psychology of it and your analysis of the word play he uses. You say your about real talk. His brand is real music. The journey people have told you about with NF, it's not about hitting his big songs. His story is told through his songs of a cinematic type of way. It spans multiple albums and is not necessarily in chronological order of album release. Just go through beginning to end.

I discovered nf when he was at 3m subscribers and i got attached to his music like a glue his music is so relatable each and every verse defines my life as if it was me going through the same shit he helped me at each and every step of my life i dont listen to any other artist only nf forever 🖤 no one can be like him..!

This is why Nate has such a big following. You will hear him talk about the most realist things yet you will never hear him say a cuss word! He has a great relationship with God and isn’t afraid to say it either. His music goes in order and although you don’t have to go in that order it’s easier to understand 100% can’t wait to hear your take on more NF!

As always great reaction I have only watched a few of NF videos mostly from watching reactions but he talks about real things and I like that about his work his style is kind of like eminem but talking about things that matter to him on a deep level. I lkie the way you breakdown what you hear and see and the way you dont hold back on what you feel or think it makes your reactions better than most and apparently others see that too. anyways I will see you on the next one. Proud to be a ride or die . Much Love to you and yours.

I found NF several years ago and I truly feel like he saved me! His music was literally my therapy because I have trauma from actual therapy as a child. I love watching reactions to his music and people getting to experience all of the emotion he puts into every song!
I'd like to suggest that you put Jelly Roll on your list if he isn't already.

I’m a guy in his 60’s just found your channel by accident. Looks & Sounds pretty good. I found NF this year, they would have never let him play music 50 or 60 years ago cause I really could have used it then. I didn’t really self harm when I was younger not much anyway, I’m just a little bit different in my head. I guess “normal people “ don’t have extra in their head. I know I’m being vague but I don’t want a lot of things out on the internet if you know what I mean. I’m very cautious about what I say. I really love NF because he kinda speaks on some of my issues and I have nothing but respect and kind words for him and his music. I very much appreciate his music , I don’t know that I could for sure describe it as therapy but maybe it is I’ve never been to therapy so I don’t know. When I was much younger they didn’t give therapy out for people like me they put you in what they called the state hospital, or state institution. My mother found out early on and has always tried to help me out and kinda help me hide it. I’m not dangerous to anyone , I don’t wish violence upon anyone either. Been through two marriages my second one is still kinda working after 40 years and she doesn’t know believe it or not. I did a stint in the military so basically a “normal” life. I like the way you get into the music , anyway thanks for checking his music out and listening.have a great day and I guess what I did was called a rant if so I’m sorry.

Sorry for multiple post on this vid. Was working out and stopped to type last one. Wanted to add Nate does not make a bad song. At least I haven’t heard one. He does it all. Couple type songs, pop, rap, reflection rap, bangers. He is the GOAT imo. I recommended just like you because it’s great but also type of song you have been reacting to thus far. Thx again for the reactions to NF !!

I will also add that you really can't go wrong with any song you listen to but it is really a journey with his catalog. I would say that with NF's music does need to go in order. With NF it's like opening a book and starting in the middle if you really don't start with the beginning. All of it is deep and REAL is his brand it's what he stands by.

I love that you are doing more NF. Subbing for the journey. In your last NF reaction you mentioned God’s Love. I immediately hit the like button. I think you will like NF. Some of his songs are rough - like How Could You Leave Us, that is because it is Real Music! I’ll share my story of how I found NF and why I am a fan on the next reaction.

I will counter with a compromise. Yes. The Mixtape is very dope and it mostly is not connected to the journey. So I would suggest just doing the NF Journey in order but insert a new song from the Clouds Mixtape every 5 reactions. That works great.

A note on Nate's production, his producer is Tommee Profitt who aside from working with NF also produces cinematic songs with various artists including Fleurie. He was also behind the insanely popular remix of In The End.

Hi Rosalie, I only recently discovered you and I'm also fairly new to the NF rabbit hole as I only discovered him a few days ago and for this, I owe Knox Hill who is also amazing rapper and reactor in his own right, I've heard or seen people comment on how sad reactors are claiming their working off the backs of creators, but I totally disagree with this claim, I believe most reactors play an important role for the betterment of society as a whole so for this I thank you your takes.
NF literally takes my breath away, his passion is real, It's an enormous amount of courage from him to take all this pain and suffering and turn into a work of beauty. it speaks volumes, I have my own issues as well as everyone else, maybe not to the degree of NF but we all have issues.
You mentioned, you sometimes don't know where such evil comes from, weather it comes from a higher power or what and while I myself don't have this answer, I believe, humanity and this earth has been infiltrated by some very crafty and yet evil entities. its sad that there seems to be so much suffering on this planet, sometimes it's so heavy for me that it seems unmanageable and I just want to escape it all myself, I'm somewhat of an empath and sometimes I can feel the pain of the entire world and it can be so overwhelming, but sometimes, I feel the worlds positivity as well and it's like a temporary relief valve and its though these times I manage to get though.
IDK the answers really, but part of me thinks all this, everything serves a greater purpose, perhaps a master plan of some sort that I am not privy to for whatever reason. life is so festinating, hard at times sure, but wonderful and so beautiful and amazing as well, perhaps its just the Ying and Yang of life IDK. anyway, I am rambling LOL, thank you for your reactions, it means a lot for a lot of people so keep on keeping on. than you.

    • @rosalieelliottofficial
      @rosalieelliottofficial  ปีที่แล้ว

Hello Super Matt. thank you for your comment and taking the time to share. Those are def. deep questions it's hard to find answers to and depending on people's world views and religions and experiences etc. many will have different answers. I find that in the Torah what people may refer to as "satan" is called the adversary and he was testing (see the book of Job), but he is not equal to God or anything and in Judaism he is not considered (from what I see) as powerful or scary as in Christianity. Other religions again, don't believe in any satan/devil etc.
If the adversary was created by God and ultimately another servant, I suppose some might argue, evil and good were both created or allowed by God. But that's also tricky, because then the follow up question is, did God create evil, meaning did it originate with him? and with some of the crazy wickedness in the world, that doesn't fit with the idea of a good and loving God. I think most evil that occurs is man's choice and actions. but i don't have all the answers. Personally I do choose to believe God is good, and we all have a choice to either be the same, or the opposite. We all have the choice of death or life everyday in what we do. I understand the feeling of wanting to escape and being overwhelmed by the evil in the world. On the other hand, it can be encouraging to see there is also a lot of good and we all have the choice.
I also agree with you that reactors are not benefiting off the back of creators. For one we are creating ourselves, sharing our intellectual property with the world. But it also helps promote the artists and most videos receive a copyright claim, meaning the artists and their label companies etc. receive the $. Often not even the reactor.
Thank you for taking the time to comment.
