What a fun presentation for this review! I always see BSUN to be a more premium HMX in terms of having great sound and quality, really love the akashis you recommended me from the start 😊
I felt the same way a while ago, but now HMX has grown up to be on-par with BSUN I believe. Nowadays I feel more like they are 'the clacky BSUNs' for me. :)
I still have not tried BSUN switches 😂. They sound so good and you always post a new video with a new switch and I am getting decision paralysis. 😅 Thank you for the nice video!
Haha, I always feel fomo when I see new switches being released. :') I think any of the BSUNs are very good, so if you decide to get one, almost all of them are a safe bet! :)
For me, my first exposure to Bsun switch is the Milktea Siam V1. The typing experience and sound are really very interesting for me and I do enjoy the milktea as much as the current HMX switches I am using. Keeping my options open and also looking at BSUN as a good alternative!
I want so many more BSUN switches. I love the BCP and Flower Dream switches so much. I have been grabbing them occasionally from nlandkeys when they have sales. It's so hard to keep up with all the new switch releases because the sheer amount is staggering!
At their next sales I'm going to get myself some BCPs, they must be epic! Nowadays I feel absolutely overwhelmed by new switch releases, my FOMO is getting out of hand. :')
Trying to decide on a switch for my first and probably only custom keyboard. I'm going with a RGB removed ajazz ak992 and the switches I'm trying to decide between are the bsun strawberry bear switches and the leobog Barbie switches. I'm not super well versed in materials, but after listening to a bunch of different switches I like the full Pom housing sounding switches. Both have a full Pom housing. The Bears have a LY stem and the Barbies have a Pom stem. Both should be light enough to use with little gentle presses that I tend to do 38gf and 33gf respectively. Can you give your two cents? I'm not going to open up the switches, I'm going to be using them stock, at least initially. I'm a very light typer, and most of what I'm going to do is playing games. My keyboard that I was using died and I'm using a spare atm. I was using a generic low profile membrane Bluetooth keyboard from aliexpress and haven't ever upgraded past membrane. I really want to treat myself to a smooth as butter creamy keyboard that will make gaming feel super relaxing. This spare I'm using has a harsh "press the key down and after reaching the pressure threshold it crashes rown" feel to it which definitely feels off and weird to me. I didn't have that problem with my low profile cause there wasn't much space between the top and bottom lol. I'm really going for budget options at about $25 for 110 switches, cause I'm also getting the keyboard for $28 and some cute MOA keycaps for $16.
Wow, $28 for the AK992 sounds amazing! I second the MOA keycaps for it, it will add to the creamy feeling. Regarding the switches I'd go with the Strawberry Bears - I have some strange experiences with POM case+POM stem switches, the off-center keypress sometimes has a crush-y feeling to it (like it gets stuck mid-press for a brief moment) - but it differs between brands and batches. You said you're a light typer, so I think the 38g would be still OK for you, membranes have more force to them usually.
I'm still enjoying the Flower Shadow switches from BSUN! Do you think the Jade Rosales is different enough to try out as it's a little bit heavier and has a single stage spring (I love my pink switches...)? Or do you think your recently reviewed Y3 switches would be a better contrast thocky smooth switches?
They indeed sound a bit deeper/creamier, but I think it might be worth getting a different brand to try out from time to time - and Keygeek has really improved a lot with their recent mold changes. But definitely try to keep those Flower Shadows, they are excellent switches! :)
I use multiple ones (I change my keyboards every 1-2 days), most of them are from BSUN and HMX, and nowadays Huano. Also Vertex V1 is one of my top choices.
Haha, yes, they are cat-eye! You know your stuff ;) And they have iron particles in the polish, so I could move them around with a magnet! Excuse me, how cool is that?! :D
These are some of my favorite switches rn! The new way they are lubing makes them feel hand lubed.
Exactly, I feel BSUN always had very good lubing, but now it's just chef's kiss!
The best sound tests on youtube. Nails are always on point too lol
Thank you so much!!

BSUN akashi's have a special place in my heart. these sound great as well
Akashi is one of my staples too!

Well said! BSUN and HMX are both superb switches, one can't go wrong with them. :)
Currently using the Taro n sweet potato switches on my Zoom TKL and its been lovely 🥰💜🧡
Looking to add another to my collection

Great choice of music😍
so cherry profile keycaps make contact with this switch? Any taller profile is recommended? great video!
Just ordered a bunch of BSUN Roche let's see how it goes.
Sounds promising! Please let me know how you like them after you tried them! I'm still debating whether I should order those too.

Would you say it's worth hand lubing them or is the factory lubing sufficient? Also great video ! c:
The lube quality is just as I'd do it myself, so I'd say no point in re-lubing them. BSUN stock lube is especially on-the-spot 99% of the time!
Have u ever tried the bsun bubble? Was wondering if you would consider a thocky switch
Not yet, but I tend to love BSUN switches, so it's high chance I'd love that too!

Sweet potato is the thockiest switch around right now
I agree, one of the thockiest and heaviest I have!
Hi! Do you plan reviewing akko mu01? Would love to see the test of a wooden board!
Yes, I have one sitting behind me, I'm going to start filming it soon! :)
@@thoccnology thank you!!!
Which switch do you use for typing everyday?
I use multiple ones (I change my keyboards every 1-2 days), most of them are from BSUN and HMX, and nowadays Huano. Also Vertex V1 is one of my top choices.
Haskell Lake
burh I swear she tries to show off her nails more than the keyboards 🤣 what are those sick nails, are they what is called cat-eye nails?
Haha, yes, they are cat-eye! You know your stuff ;)
