What do ya mean, pick up the garbage? That's the garbage companies job. They're the ones leaving garbage on the roads, streets and in your driveways. And you're plowing the street (I gather you're demonstrating). That's the city job. The garbage and street snow is their problem. As for the setup and demonstration, I give it ten thumbs up. Great idea and design.

I really like the 3 square receiver Idea.

Well as I predicted and told everyone, I built the plow and it really wouldn't snow this year. Well it is now February 14 and I could only justify putting the plow on twice. This is strange weather for western Montana. We have few daytime highs predicted through march that are at freezing or below...

I'd seriously like to see the plans for this...how did you build the blade?

I made one like that about 15 years ago. I also use another winch to turn the blade which works even better!

No, I decided against the idea of using a winch to turn the blade. The first hard frozen bank of snow I hit, the cable broke, so I had to re-string it back on. Then I plowed some really big banks of snow and ended up completely breaking the entire winch spool out of the winch. Now I'm back to a manual turning plow. I'm in the process of converting a tongue jack from an old trailer (screw type jack) with a power window motor mounted to turn the screw. Power window motors have a lot of power and turn both ways, so it should work better than a winch. I only have to figure out how to mount it on the arms of the plow. I contemplated using a scissor jack, but there isn't enough room for the scissor parts to work without hitting something.
