    Good Work! I found the passenger side dash trim-around the glovebox, is actually pot metal in the older Dents(XLT Lariats), not fun to change, but the later years were plastic. Interior work is difficult, and dealing with a front cowl leak-dribbles down from inside the cab front floor during heavy rain. Also the back window, new rubber and glass, just being difficult to stop leaks. Fun Fun, but worth it!

    Nice work. I'm slowly tearing down a 79 shortbed to build into a trail truck. That's the plan at least

    Im looking at the mip floormat for my crewcab but I've read some bad reviews on it. Did it relax any over time? Did the wrinkles/folds/creases eventually come out of it? Also how slick is the mip? Thanks.

      @MunsonMischief  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it relaxed out enough for me to be satisfied with it. Its not too slick or too grippy.

    Where did you get the door panels? Or are they stock?

    • @MunsonMischief
      @MunsonMischief  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, stock. At least I think so. My Dad go the truck in 87 and those are the panels that have always been in them.

    How much encapsulator did you use?

    • @MunsonMischief
      @MunsonMischief  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure how much, just heavily coated everything.

      Munson Mischief hey last question, I’m prepping my metal by sanding it down to bare metal. What did you use on top of bare metal and what did you clean the metal with. I have rustoleum rust reformer and mineral spirits.

    • @MunsonMischief
      @MunsonMischief  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On any of the areas that I prepped down to bare metal, I put the rust encapsulator right on it and then a little primer over that...before applying the sound deadener.

    How was your experience installing the rubber mat? I got mine from LMC and it was a huge pita doing it alone and very hard to get it to lay flat.

    • @MunsonMischief
      @MunsonMischief  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was pretty damn challenging. Made a few cutting mistakes but overall I'm happy with the job I did. It would have been much easier if the cab was completely bare...as in firewall covers out and everything.

      MM , I ordered MIP floor for my 1979 and it stops under the seat and didn’t go all the way to the back of the cab?! How did you get yours to fit the entire cab? Do you know the part number. PLEASE help. Thanks JB

    • @MunsonMischief
      @MunsonMischief  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JB-JB-JB-JB part number was 49-5909 from LMC. Mine went all the way to the back of the cab, fully covering that little shelf if you will.
