This is an incredibly helpful video. I am currently in the beginning stages of research, and like you, once I want something its almost impossible for me to say no. lol. But I am really trying hard to make the right decision.
If you have a small breed of dog, in my opinion especially a purebred dog, be careful if you plan on getting gliders. My housemates dog is obsessive about sitting outside the glider cage and she is so focused on the gliders that she ignores her regular verbal commands even though she is regularly a very obiediant dog. I'm not just saying she's a good dog either because she's not even mine lol. My cats also really like my gliders so that's something to keep in mind as well. What I use, since I live in kind of a studio style apartment, is a room divider or privacy screen. I put it up when I go to bed and put it away when I get up in the moring so my cats are never left unsuporvised around the glider cage at night.
Why are you always wearing those thick gloves whenever you are handling your sugar gliders? Isn't it better for them to feel your skin & not some cloth? Are you afraid of them biting or scratching? Do they scratch you or bite you? Is just that everyone else carries without gloves & you wearing gloves makes me question a few things.
I don’t “always” handle them with gloves. The glove I used is not thick and doesn’t protect from bites. If I have to hold some of my gliders in my hands they get less anxious if I use the bonding mit. I talk about this extensively in a lot of my videos. Especially my more recent bonding videos.
I know I don't want to own a glider. I just want to play with one. I want to go to Japan style 'sugar glider cafe' and play with the gliders for a few hours.
You want gliders to have access to natural light but not if it’s a window that gets a lot of direct light that would heat up the cage and overheat the gliders

That is correct, they are not recommended to be in the same house. It is not recommended although some do choose to have both.
