    Bak Choi: chinese meaning is White Cabbage. "Bak" means white, "Choi" means Cabbage. This pronunciation was from Cantonese.

    While traveling across Vietnam I saw and ate lotus roots everywhere. Also they sell lotus seeds in supermarkets to be eaten as we eat nuts :)

    Fascinating as always! Some of the foods you mention are readily available here (Melbourne Australia) in our mainstream supermarkets. I buy buk choi from time to time (nice texture and colour, but no flavour), and in my pantry are both light and dark soy sauce. Bitter gourd or melon is also available in the local supermarket but I’ve never eaten it. Note that we use the term Chinese cabbage to refer to napa cabbage or bai cai, not to buk choi.

    今天我做了很多月饼🥮但是没吃了。两年以前我朋友买送了牛肉干。她说了这个西藏的特殊牛肉干和很贵。但是我吃不了。我国家有苦瓜但是比较小。其他国家有皮蛋吗???
