I struggled to get the contact connected to the account. The reason was I used recordid ("i" in small caps) when I needed to use recordId ("I" in capital caps) instead. Hope this helps someone.

Yes im editing my comment and giving answer to the above :- recordId should be "recordId" and not "RecordId" or "recordid"
@@diobrando1253 any reason why it cannot use RecordID or RecordId, why must it be recordId?

I have watched many flow videos and have to give you great credit for your delivery. They are well planned out and concise, and it is very helpful that you have errors and corrections in the scenarios. One question, towards the end when the Fault message displays the 'API Dev Guide' , how do we update the fault message so this is not present for the user? Thanks again for your work on these videos Amit.

I followed you video and found a issue of displaying the new contact to account. Finally when I changed the variable name from "recordid" to "recordId", then it works!!

Great video...can u tell why recordId is only used as name of that variable and without any assignment how is it getting the account id

you have shared in the video that the exception generated can be removed and it can be totally customized, I dont see that in future videos. Do you have any resolution?
Amit how did the recordId field took the id of that particular account since accounts can be many so how is that one particular account being taken?

Hello Apex Hour, thank you for this video. I created the resource - Variable - Text - Recordid correctly, and I called out Accountid to the resource recordid in the create record element. The contact is created but it is not related to the account.

did you relate the Accountid on Contact (create a record) to the relatedId?
recordId should be "recordId" and not "RecordId" or "recordid". Someone help comment and it help me solve the issue. Just in case you didn't see that comment.

How does the flow understand that the recordid variable that you created should contain the "Record Id" of the Account Record and not the "Record Id" of some other object?
It can be only possible if you are launching this screen flow from Account object.
How to add the Address filed in Input? Can't find the address field directly.
The field will be Mailing address (or Other Address). The Value will be Address.Street; Address.Postal, etc.

I followed all steps as you did , but my contact is not getting mapped with the Account. I have created variable with text data type available for input & used it in create record. but still its not working. Please help me on this.
I had the same issue - once I went back in created a new variable with the same name that he used it worked. I used a different name (varRecordId) which wouldn't work. Not sure if that is the same error you have but it was what was causing mine not to work
make sure name should be recordId only
