  • Dynamics 365 Sales has a lot of features out of the box ready to use, but most organisations want to configure and customize it to their own unique requirements or business processes. In this tutorial I take you step by step through 3 of the main types of configurations you can do - adding and removing columns from tables, forms, and views, tailoring the lead to opportunity business process flow, and creating a new table and relationship. If you're interested in doing the MB-210 exam or configuring for your own business, you'll find this helpful.

    Hi Lisa! You are the best Dynamics Tutorial video there is on youtube. Period. I have listened to a few videos and they are just really complicated. Your videos however, are very simple and straight to the point. So thank you so much. I was wondering if you have a video for adding products, units, families and bundles in Dynamics 365? I could really use your help with this.

    Hi Lisa - 'love your videos! We are considering D365 and I was wondering... can we use this system for payment processing? Thx for your help.

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Payment processing usually falls under the ERP side of Dynamics 365, you might want to look at the Business Central or F&O apps, rather than this one which is Sales/CRM.

    Hi Lisa, if we delete a columns in table they will permanently go from DB or CRM na we have to choose Remove instead of delete I think in power apps do we have that(remove) button ?

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you want to remove columns from a form or a particular app you can delete them from the form while still leaving them in the main database - you just don’t see or use them in your app. If you properly delete a column from the table in Dataverse then it will be deleted from that environment

    Nice. How would you customize D365 for a simple invoice?

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dynamics 365 Sales actually has its own invoice table and functionality, I just haven't shown it here. If that isn't what you want you could create an invoice table related to the account, and set up the fields you need.

    Hi Lisa, Thank you for your wonderful and amazingly helpful tutorials! As a beginner I am making great progress with 365 sales. A question though, can you advise how can I show the total value for columns in a view? Specifically, I am trying to total the estimated revenue column in a view of all opportunities. Seems this would be a natural requirement for this view but cannot find a clear path to doing this. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It’s not you, this isn’t something that is as easy to do as you might expect. You can create a rollup column to do this kind of calculation (total of all opportunities for an account) but that doesn’t do the overall total in the grid. Copilot can actually do the calculation so that’s an option now. Otherwise Power BI. There was something on the roadmap that was meant to do this out of the box but I haven’t seen it come through.

      @rayf8162 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@LisaCrosbie Thank you very much for this insight. Yes, in the interest of time, ultimately engaged a consultant who recommended making a chart and showing both the chart totals and list view of opportunities in the dashboard. Not as clean as I’d hoped. Will circle back to rollup columns when there is time. Credit to you, others have taken note of my navigation skills in Dynamics.
      Separately, Microsoft is starting to make news on its roadmap to build more AI capability into Dynamics, raising Dynamics profile in competition with SalesForce.

    Hi Lisa,
    Great Video! would you consider doing a similar one which edits the dynamics 365 Dashboard?

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not likely to do that video because it's becoming a less used feature (new out of the box dashboards and more emphasis on grids and Power BI and Copilot as reporting options) but I have done a section on it in my model driven apps tutorial here - Chapter 10 - concepts are the same for Dynamics 365 th-cam.com/video/LIC8DFW8fOE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=G2DEOgFlcOACbb3d
