Let's talk about the sizing issues at Universal vs. Disney in Florida because I've lived it. I've been to both as a straight size and a plus size girlie. As a plus-size girl, I was able to ride Tron and have always been able to get on all Disney rides. At Universal, I was barely able to get on Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure and Velocicoaster. I was not able to ride Rip Ride Rockit or The Hulk, both rides I have been on in the past when less fluffy. With The Hulk, they moved me to the "bigger" seat, but it's molded around your butt and hips and I could not get in. For Rip Ride Rockit, they had to check my 6'7" brother's height to make sure he didn't exceed the height limit - he had no problem riding but I couldn't. Also, this summer at Universal Hollywood, the ride I couldn't ride, and neither could my Dad because of his long legs, was The Secret Life of Pets! There's no reason there should be size issues with a dark ride. Also, as a plus-size girl, I never had problems getting onto thrill rides at any Busch Gardens parks, Six Flags parks, or Hershey Park. This is only a Universal issue and they could safely build the rides to accommodate hips, but they don't. Switching gears, Westcot was going to be in Long Beach by the Queen Mary. For a time, Disney owned the Queen Mary, and the building where they housed the Spruce Goose just north of the ship back in the day. The haunted Queen Mary tour was started by Disney. After Euro Disney (Disneyland Paris) opened and was struggling financially, Westcot was canceled and Disney sold its interests in Long Beach.
