Thats very nice. I know they do make nice toys these days but back then toys were magic so much excitement went with having something like that Wow! Superb!😮😯😲👍🇭🇲✌️
Oh Jerry man you have pulled me right back to the 1970s! 😮 My mum got me the Airfix Diving Submarine for Christmas! I seem to remember TV adverts here in the UK for Tin Can Alley as well. Amazing job thank you man 👏
I had a submarine that worked the same way that came from a cereal packet. It was a lot smaller obviously, about a quarter of the size. You probably remember Tom Good from The Good Life.
There is nothing like not growing up. Lol. I did not have a lot of money to spend as a kid, so my Airfix collection was limited. I wanted to buy some of those soldier sets featured in the comic books in the 60s and early 70s but never got around to it. I had forgotten some of those sets were actually games with a board (playmat) and rules. Then were a lot of sets I was not aware. I grew up in a small city with only a few small hobby shops which only had the boxed soldiers. Hobby shops in a larger market area probably carried the larger sets. I found two fold out ads for a line called Atlantic in a 1979 wargame (Panzer Force). One had Far West Kits, Far West Wargames, WW II Wargames, Nato Armor Kits, WW II Armor Kits, Far West Story and HO scale Modern Armies and Armies of WW II. It is great to see you opening up these old sets. Rock on!
omg i can FEEL the search light move in my fingers on that gun emplacement set, having soldiers run up the steps and also the Coastal defence "circles" which held the barrels of the gun. wow you have a new subscriber!
The submarine brought back a lot of memories. Mine ended up lost in action in the depths of the local pond, as did most of my friends' subs! I have a theory that every pond in Britain has at least one of the subs in it! Great video.

Jerry, your videos are so fantastic. Whenever I need a break from the stress at work, I'll put one on. Those childhood memories, mostly on stuff you dreamed off but never got. All the best from Rami, from Finland, born 1973.
Absolutely delightful stuff. Thank you for showing us all these toys. A few of my friends had the games and whatnot (The lucky sods). There was an Ad on Telly for the Tin Can Alley Rifle Set, back in the day. No-one knew who the bloke was. The way the camera lingered on him, suggested he was meant to be famous, but we didn't know him from Adam. I didn't find out 'til recently that he was Chuck Connors, star of an old North American TV Show called 'The Rifleman'. Whoop-di-doo, big deal. Nonetheless, the toy was highly desirable, but it was nowhere to be found. And so we got our hands on Air Rifles instead. And is why the NHS is still popular today. Thanks again for bringing Christmas Day back, albeit for an all-too-brief spell. Cheers.
There's lots of very nice surprise items in this video. Lovely stuff 😊 I had the pontoon bridge and the gun emplacement but neither in a set.
