🤣 yeah that sounds about par for me.
Pathfinder recently released their setting for Savage Worlds, which made me interested in the system. Would love to see a follow up video compare and contrast Pathfinder 2e to the Savage Worlds system once the remaster is released.

Technically, it’s Savage Worlds rebuilt to do pathfinder 1st edition/3rd edition d&d in theme. It has edges that allow you to have the effects of classes, raised to power level for races by a bit, and rebuilds the powers to allow for better “tastes like d&d from the novels and movies” feel.
I wish we had a chance to look through it while at GenCon but hopefully we can go over the pathfinder version. I really liked the system.

You are correct!
I wanted this to be my new Go-To system but combat while exciting is not as straightforward as the fan base claims. Way too many caveats in the mechanic for a simple sword attack. I'm still waiting for a generic system with lots of options with a straightforward mechanic and character creation process that doesn't fall back on "narrative-based rules". It can be done, all the parts are there. Someone just needs to assemble it.
Have you tried Pathfinder's Savage Worlds? Our GM played it and he said it was very good and got the best of both worlds.

I was coming from an old-school perspective with a super open mind….but my entire group of very seasoned gamers….we ALL were completely perplexed! Everyone,RAW, would always be constantly’shaken’.
It’s been a joke ever since…….and that’s been nearly 20 years now! 😂
