    The 30 day self empty version is definitely a steal, very good bot and I can trust that if I went on vacation for 2 weeks, and cleared all obstacles, it would clean without any issues.

    Shark, if you’re listening:
    IMPROVE THE APP!
    Code the ability to edit the map after it has been discovered! Things get moved around. I don’t want to have to “rediscover” the house and re-define all the areas just because the couch is now in a different spot!
    Mark the map with places where the bot “thinks” it got stuck. Ask the user if it should avoid that location. Better yet, update the map all the time with the location of the bot!
    Mine gets stuck under my nightstands almost every time. I placed no-go zones but it still goes there and gets stuck. I can’t tell if I have them placed correctly because it didn’t map out the room very well despite my best efforts.

    Why is there never any mention about this donut sticking on top? It cannot go under low surfaces and that is a problem. It is beyond frustrating and as well the sensors have issues as they are very sensitive and have to be cleaned. And this is not easy to do. Big fail on this model.

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand your frustration with the limitations of the Shark AV2501S AI Robot Vacuum. While the donut-shaped design on the top of the vacuum may not be explicitly mentioned in marketing materials or reviews, it does have a purpose. The design houses various sensors and components that help the vacuum navigate and detect obstacles in its path. These sensors enable the vacuum to avoid objects and navigate around your home autonomously.
      However, it's important to note that the donut design may restrict the vacuum from accessing very low surfaces or areas with minimal clearance. This limitation can be inconvenient if you have furniture or spaces that are close to the ground and you were expecting the vacuum to clean those areas.
      Regarding the sensors, it's common for robotic vacuums to require regular maintenance, including cleaning the sensors. Sensors can become dirty over time due to dust, debris, or pet hair, which may affect their accuracy or performance. While cleaning the sensors may not be an effortless task, it is typically recommended to ensure optimal functioning of the vacuum.
      It's unfortunate that these aspects of the Shark AV2501S AI Robot Vacuum have led to frustration for you. It's essential to consider your specific needs and the features that are most important to you when choosing a robotic vacuum. There are other models available on the market that may better suit your requirements and address the issues you've mentioned. cnl

    Shark vacuums are junk. I have the beige version of the one in this video. Mine broke in 3 months and they refuse to honor the warranty because I unscrewed a single screw that held on a side brush. They said that voided the warranty.

    How tedious is cleaning human hair tangled and stuck in the bristles ?

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  ปีที่แล้ว

      I kinda tortured it with that hair test haha Some hair will def get tangled up though. It's not ideal, but it's easier than you'd think to get out by cutting it with a blade. If that's a concern I'd consider getting a Roomba for their anti-tangle design!
