  • John gives you an update on using the RCF Evox J8 and JMix8 at a wedding last weekend. These speakers feature a 12" subwoofer and 8 2" drivers in the top speaker for an array sound system coverage.
The RCF J8 features a line source satellite module with eight 2” full-range drivers paired with a high-powered 12” woofer in a bass reflex enclosure. All powered by on-board 1400 W Class D amplification. The EVOX J Series maintains a similar footprint to the original EVOX systems, now in a portable composite enclosure. The system offers stunning sound performance with crystal-clear vocal reproduction and unparalleled musical response.

I had the opportunity to have 2 evox j8 on Monday and yesterday I used them in a graduation from where there were practically more than 150 people and believe me the sound that comes out of these boxes is INCREDIBLE. people asked me where the sound came from and I even had to turn down the volume and notice that they were covering their ears. was user of turbosound ip2000 (that by the way they are very good also) but the sound and the clarity at the time of speaking by microphone there is no competition. the bass is very deep. I recommend the evox j8 closed eyes.

I owned the evox 8v2, switch to ip2000 and now looking at the j8, hey look incredible and seems to have the bass that my ip2000 is missing!

How does this compared to the Evolve 50. Bottom end and clarity? I've heard these sound better but trust your opinion.

Hi John. Quick question and advice I am interested in purchasing the J8 system. Should I purchase 1 J8mix and a J8 to get the perfect system. I appreciate your knowledge and advice Thanks Mike.

I would do two J8 and get a mixer to use for mic use.. the mix version is nice if you were ONLY going to get that for smaller events, but for most, I would go with two and a separate mixer.

Great video! Please can you tell me if one of these plugged into a dj mixer will work just fine for a small party or is a pair a necessity?

Hey, I own these and they are fantastic. 1 j8 set up is perfect for a up to 75 person gig. A pair will easily do a 150 person wedding.

run into the mixer using the rca or 1/4
inputs, use the through in the j8 without mixer
