Oooh I did laugh so hard too. I had to keep it silent at work though but that only lasted until she finished hacking over the haggis. I couldn’t hold it. 😂😂😂
Im from England and we definitely wouldn't eat a full English every day. Some people will eat it maybe once a week on a weekend but not usually with everything on your plate. Most would only have one or two thin slices of black pudding. Not thick like you've sliced it. If i had a full English, I'd probably have 1 sausage link, 1x bacon, 2x hash brown, beans, a grilled tomato half, mushrooms, egg (1x fried or maybe 2x scrambled) and a slice of toast. I like haggis but that didn't look like a good one tbh. It looked more dense than I'm used to and I believe you can't have traditional haggis in the US due to not allowing some of the ingredients? Maybe that's why it didn't look quite right? Scones should be sweetish but not american sweet and are sliced in half and eaten with the jam and cream together. Biting it like a muffin theyd definitely be on the dry side. The pie looks like a "scotch pie" traditionally i believe theyd be made with "mutton" (slightly older lamb) but more often, they're just made with beef nowadays along with some herbs, onion and a little stock to moisten the meat i believe in a hot water crust pastry. Despite what people think about unseasoned food in England (and a lot of traditional fayre is in comparison to the US I guess) The UK is actually quite a melting pot of cuisine and things like curry's for example have become almost a national dish. Theres definitely some old fashioned simple food, but thats partly as we're a MUCH older country than many, with lots of traditions but there's also a lot of very good food in the UK. Just as i'm sure the US isnt all burgers or very highly seasoned or overly sweet food, the UK isnt all bland mush. Lol
The "melting pot" and it's just cuisines from countries the British colonised for their "SPICES" So u can't defend the unblandness of British food if they once went around the world enslaving ppl just for their spices.
@lollyjake689 All of that sounds absolutely DELICIOUS to me. I was born and raised in the US and am always dying to try all types of food from all over the world. Some people have very sensitive and limited palates, but not all of us. I love your very descriptive and informative comment!
I used to go get a full Irish on my birthday every year in San Francisco...no mealie sausage thank goodness! I used to think I'd like to try haggis.... Now not so much 😂 And a scone is very much like a biscuit in my opinion, but I love them, especially cranberry orange flavored

As a Brit, it's not an everyday meal! It's definitely a hangover cure but also a "do you want to go out for a fry up?" Or a weekend breakfast. Black pudding is an acquired taste! White pudding is typical on an Irish breakfast and Scottish breakfast have tattie scones (potato cakes). Props for trying the haggis. It's better fried (I've only had it once!)
I am British too and I feel like black pudding is a marmite food (you either love it or hate it) i personally hate it 😂 I just have normal sausage, bacon, egg, mushroom, beans and toast. Maybe even a cheeky hash brown ❤
You poor thing!!! Are you ok? The video was great! Always curious about a full English breakfast and now I know. Proceed with caution! Thanks Ashley!!!
No caution needed. It's fairly simple, it's just black pudding is an acquired taste. White pudding/ mealy sausage is not typical on a full English. If you like sausage, bacon and eggs then the English is all good. Add mushrooms, beans, tomatoes and hash browns and you're good to go.
LOL, you are hilarious. We Puerto Ricans also cook "Blood Sausage", which is called "Morcilla" in Spanish. I don't eat is because I know how its made, but I did taste it once and it was actually really good! I tell you, you are brave to try all those foods. Just on looks alone, I couldn't do it!
As a brit, I can confirm black pudding, white pudding and haggis are heinous and an affront to gods creation. We don't gotta eat like that no more mun and thankfully a lot of people here don't anymore.
Ha! 🎉🎉🎉 I laughed so hard that I cried so hard that I had to pause the video... then 10 second rewind... rinse and repeat! I adore that u left the heaving sounds in there. Just the absolute commitment to being transparent. Thank u for blessing my day with this!

I know every country differs, but the beans for breakfast I just can’t wrap my head around. Beans are a side for lunch or dinner. As for the Haggis (sp?) nope, never, no way would I ever put that in my mouth. 😂 Ashley, you took one for the team trying some of that. ❤
Idk about the English style beans I’ve never had them but try Mexican refried beans with a side of eggs it’s delicious together we eat this for breakfast often with corn tortillas give it a try
Baked beans can be eaten at any time of day. They're not the same flavour as US beans. Beans on toast alone or with some melted cheese on top is very comforting.
Im an emetophobe and i still clicked this video, and laughed my ass off when she said "im gon leave that alone" 😂😂😂 i had to turn the volume down but im so thankful your hand was covering your mouth for the most part!! Thanks ashley!!
I had haggis in Scotland. It was served with Guinness gravy and on top of some veggie mash and it was delicious! I did try the black sausage and didn't like that at all. LOL.
As a Brit I can’t say I’ve ever had pies with my full English 😅 I’d say the bakewells and scones are an afternoon tea thing. Personally I can’t stand haggis or black budding. Would definitely recommend adding hash browns though and maybe try fried bread too. And definitely a bit of HP brown sauce!! Fry ups are definitely not an every day thing 😅
If you want more UK food there’s a restaurant called The British Tea Garden just a little north of you in Tecumseh, MI. You can get a fancy tea with pastries and finger sandwiches or a ploughmans lunch. Very good!

@ Wild Haggis hunting is one of Scotland’s favourite pastimes!
Wild Haggis have longer legs on one side of their body so they can run around hills faster. They’re quite shy, so they’re fairly hard to catch.
