- In this video, we cover one of the best locations we have ever seen. On our short, spontaneous road trip to Italy, we came across this huge prison that boasted every aspect we look for in abandoned buildings. Watch as we wander through it's endless corridors and discover what remains!

"The prison was built in the 1860s..."??? That's what offical history claims. What's significant is the addtional information that it was built on an ancient fort. The ancients knew how to build and there was no 'Italians' then. These magnificant structures can be found all around the world.

That's exactly how we felt. We need to find more prisons soon! Have always wanted to visit Alcatraz, and Eastern State Penitentiary. Very historical places!

The giant clock set in stone is an interesting part of the design. In the central rotunda so every prisoner could see how much time they had served.

I'm enjoying watching your explorations. This one looks fascinating to me. I have deep appreciations for architecture and for woodwork.
Maybe there are times that you could peek into just a few more rooms when walking down the hallways, I'd really enjoy that, at least giving the viewer the chance to see that it's empty or has something inside. Also, if you could pause just for a moment in certain areas, like you do for the staircases, on the woodwork, and specially crafted areas of the architecture itself. If that's a bother, please ignore. But I do enjoy your videos. Thank you!

Such an enormous building complex, well designed for what it ws used for. Your filming and camera work is excelent. The only way to save this building in this day and age is sadly turn it into upmarket apartments that can be sold, charging an annual commission to upkeep the buildings further and the grounds. Well done 💕🇦🇺
Happy that you like our filming style. We're not sure apartments will ever happen for this one, it seems way too damaged to sort and demolition will likely occur, but not for a long time.

Any idea when this prison was abandoned? It looks pretty clean with minimal decay!
Over twenty years ago. Some bits appeared worse than others, but for the most part, yes, immaculate condition for that length of closure
Well, damn. If you had to be imprisoned somewhere, this is a good option. Seems like theres a lot ,ore persomwlity to it and wide open outdoor space sthan many other prisons.

Hi great video, heard you wondering about the kids toys just for info an unfournate side of some female jails is having mum and baby wings, when some female prisoners if granted are allowed to have and keep there children in the prison so most likely why there where toys 👍

My concern is this: There isn't a single toilet in any of those cells. What did the prisoners do when nature called? Did they just do it in a bucket or just do it on the floor?
