Well, pokemon does have too many luck mechanics than it should. It doesn't matter how good your strategy is if that parlyz won't let you move. Poor Donald, Joe had that mechanic on his side.
This was a great episode and really reflected the difference the change between the generations had on the overall game itself. Can't wait for the next one and hope we can get a full team soon. I am also interested on which game you guys will go into next; while Ultra Sun/Moon would be interesting i would also think a Nuzloke of Platinum or Fire Red would be cool as well.

I’d honestly be hyped for this, this could be cool as - could run a calm mind set with psychic, shock wave, and hopefully a decent hidden power move (you’ve had some good luck this run w natures etc so maybe you’ll get lucky again here!). Otherwise last slot could be rest? As a side note 5-10 minute sequence where they try to work out the hidden power types and approximate power could be fun

A broken typing, earthquake by level up, good bulk, and a derpy little face. Stop being salty. Sharpedo is a good Pokémon and it is arguably better but this was a fair way to decide this. Just accept the outcome.

gen 3 crawdaunt is pretty bad, the lack of a physical special split makes him pretty bad, plus it gets no dark type moves besides knock off, which is a terrible 20 base power in this game. Not having good dark moves is terrible for a dark pokemon in this game. Very outclassed by sharpedo because he at least gets crunch. But he gets very very fun to use over the following few generations with the physical special split, priority aqua jet, adaptability, swords dance and dragon dance, buffed knock off, and so on.

Bro those paralyzes were painful. Worst luck I ever had in pokemon was a gen 1 playthrough I did with a friend during covid on our 3ds. We got down to our final mons in our post league battle. His starmie lived on 1% from my Alakazams attack then froze me with ice beam. No other mons and no items so it was over
This video had a good idea but poor execution. I would have prefer seeing Donald Vs. Biden battling in Pokémon Emerald than the Pokémon website. Not only would it be Nostalgic seeing them battling in the Pokémon center, but we can potentially see the Pokémon they wanted to pick. Like Molotic vs Wishcash or Sceptile vs Blaziken. Still, this was a good episode, just hope we can see this idea in the future.

In my opinion, I think the Pokémon showdown makes sense in the perspective that this series is happening simultaneously with their random battles ladder climb series, so they are accustomed to battling on there. Also, since I am using an emulator and screen recording, I have no way of connecting to another trainer on the game itself. I would have to figure out how to hack the game just to allow that to happen. I would also have to take the time to create and hack in teams for both people. While I agree that would be more entertaining, to a degree, that would never be worth the effort. That would be like a whole days worth of preparation for the battle itself, let alone the video editing which takes upwards of 12 hours of diligent work. Hope you can understand that much from my perspective. Not trying to dismantle your opinion on here, because I certainly appreciate all feedback and criticism especially when people are nice about it like you were, but just so you understand why I more or less took an easier way out.
Joe used a substitute on a typhlosion with 17% hp and he also used flamethrower on a thick fat walrein. I think that balances things out. Also even if it is rigged, there is no reason to get mad.
Honestly, i wish they did milotic or walrein, but i do prefer whiscash over sharpedo in gen 3, bc whiscash has better typing and defenses, plus both of sharpedos stabs in gen 3 are special, which is decent, but still too low for the type of defenses it has. Plus its speed doesn't cut it

@@Dylxan327 I didn’t hate the episode. I had a few laughs, and I don’t mind Whimscash becoming part of the team either, it’s that the fights felt…hollow. It’s not exactly your fault-you don’t control what Pokémon is generated in a random Pokémon generating game. But I think that the game itself may have been the problem. Like every round it felt like the odds were stacked against the other player. Either because the player didn’t have good enough Pokémon, because the other player had TWO powerful legendary Pokémon, or just luck (both good and bad) and the fight with Jynx was insanely dumb lol a jynx took down all five Pokémon while barely taking any damage? Was she on Poke-STEROIDS? But anyways I do love your channel. I just wish that Joe’s Win felt more earned (even if he’s a pedo in your channel lol) Maybe next time try a game that’s less broken. Oh it’s no worries man I’m still a small ish channel I usually have time to go through and respond to the comments. Past couple of days have been more busy than usual so I haven’t done that much. I appreciate you responding with all that though! And to be honest, me and my buddy played like 10 games and I just picked what I thought were good ones to make scripts out of. I played for trump and he played for biden, and we both tried, but I’m much more experienced with randbats than he is. I think those were the only two he actually won, and part of that was because of luck being a big factor. But that’s the thing about random battles in the first place. Again I appreciate your input, really. And I didn’t take it personally or in a bad way don’t worry about it.

Sharpedo literally has rough skin which is a good ability. Wtf does whishcash have?
Sharpedo has a garbage special attack stat and two special stabs.
Whiscash has stab earthquake. Also of course the coveted Water/Ground combo

@@Dylxan327 I didn’t hate the episode. I had a few laughs, and I don’t mind Whimscash becoming part of the team either, it’s that the fights felt…hollow. It’s not exactly your fault-you don’t control what Pokémon is generated in a random Pokémon generating game. But I think that the game itself may have been the problem. Like every round it felt like the odds were stacked against the other player. Either because the player didn’t have good enough Pokémon, because the other player had TWO powerful legendary Pokémon, or just luck (both good and bad) and the fight with Jynx was insanely dumb lol a jynx took down all five Pokémon while barely taking any damage? Was she on Poke-STEROIDS?
But anyways I do love your channel. I just wish that Joe’s Win felt more earned (even if he’s a pedo in your channel lol)
Maybe next time try a game that’s less broken. Like maybe a match of Pokémon Battle Revolution or Stadium? PoKKEN or a game where the presidents choose their own Pokémon? Maybe make some rules along the way?

Oh it’s no worries man I’m still a small ish channel I usually have time to go through and respond to the comments. Past couple of days have been more busy than usual so I haven’t done that much. I appreciate you responding with all that though!
And to be honest, me and my buddy played like 10 games and I just picked what I thought were good ones to make scripts out of. I played for trump and he played for biden, and we both tried, but I’m much more experienced with randbats than he is. I think those were the only two he actually won, and part of that was because of luck being a big factor. But that’s the thing about random battles in the first place.
