Absolutely wonderful video Ellen. I completely enjoy your video each and every day I watch it usually with a cup of coffee! Tonight I have cappuccino which honestly it’s almost 5 o’clock in the morning so I guess it’s morning lol today is my 48th birthday and I’m super excited to say we are downsizing our house yet again I have to buy some more storage Items to store some more things that we do plan to keep when I think things are done and organized. I always find something else to organize and keep going, but since we’re done with the purge all we gotta do is organize some extra things! Spent yesterday helping my special-needs 14-year-old daughter re-organizing and clean her room so it’s a little bit more manageable for her! Plan to do some planting this year, but I have to be careful because I do not have a fenced in backyard and I have a tree with some squirrels who love to eat the squirrel food I put out but I’m afraid they might eat the vegetables too lol plan to try to plant some tomatoes, cucumbers And peppers would really like to try to plant some onions as well. Those are for vegetables that I really really like to have on a good time basis, cucumbers, and tomatoes I go through the most! Revising my budget and doing all the things you might want to check into the 52 week savings challenge. Not a bad idea to help with a Christmas fund and a simple stick way! You could just type the word in 52 week savings challenge, free printable and I’m certain you can print one off-line. I’ve seen them several times! Love what you’re doing always a bright raise of sunshine! Looks like we start our spring cleaning this year very very early lol it started in late December 20 24 will probably roll through the end of January before I’m done revamping everything in the house. I’ve found that what works for me is, prior to taking down my Christmas decor, to snap a picture of the decorations in each area of the house and make an Album in my iPhone Photos entitled “Christmas Decorations”. Then I can see at a glance what I liked the look of from a year ago Christmas and easily recreate it. That has been a game changer for me. Also, I’ve had some success with storing the decorations near where I use them. For example, I have three shelves in the bathroom that I change out with Christmasy decor and I store them in that bath vanity under the sink. That way I don’t have to go to the basement for that room’s Christmas pretties. Those two things have made my life easier and could maybe work for you too! ❤

Hi Ellen. I woke up super early today, 4 am and by 5:30 I was outside getting some things cleaned up in the yard and the barns, wearing my headlamp. It was really warm here today, up to 60 degrees so I took advantage. I recently watched a video about when you wake up to just go ahead and get up, do some things and then try to go back to sleep a few hours later. I didn't go back to sleep though. Managed to pack my van full of boxes I'm taking to the antique auction that happens every year on New Years Day. I also will have a pick up truck load. I had packed stuff up over the past 3 months in anticipation of my sister and her disabled son moving in with us. Life changes, we hardly every go downstairs in the finished basement, so I've been converting it into an apartment. My grandson currently is staying down there. I've had to clean out the bedroom which has been used for storage so I"m just getting rid of my things now. My son doesn't want anything so why pay to put it in storage.... and maybe I can make a few bucks. My husband did take me out to dinner, so I get another Red X. Straightened up my husband's garage and also straightened up my other storage area. Mentally feeling better about the new year now!
I usually use the early morning to answer some of my TH-cam comments. I enjoy that. Seeing what everyone is up to. You always seem to get so much done! It's great! You deserved a nice dinner out with the hubby

That was very generous of you to have your ex-husband and his children live downstairs😊not too many people would do that; very gracious of you. I wasn’t subscribed to your channel when he was with you, but I did see some old videos with I think him in it. It’s good that you get along ❤tomorrow’s church so I was busy getting my clothes out for church. I did my walking pad twice today because it was raining here in Massachusetts and I just puttered around the house. I did some small decluttering also in my storage closet downstairs in my laundry room. It’s a pretty big one. It’s a double door four long shelves inside which are probably 12 feet long but I did a good job of decluttering in the spring so I could put all my decorations for my deck in there. Well have a blessed night my friend again it’s been such a pleasure seeing you. I can’t wait to start my planner. The little cabinet is working out great. The way I declutter takes forever but I haven't regretted getting rid of anything yet. I don't want to have to rebuy things down the road that I hastily got rid of.

I keep my favorite things next to my chair and it gets out of hand very easily, so I may have to check out the storage cabinet for me. I can hardly believe this year will soon be over, the next two months are the hardest for me then March and when April gets here the race is on. I don't like the paper clutter that seems to accumulate around my chair and on the kitchen table. It's a constant fight even though 90% of it goes in the trash.

Today's coffee flavor sounds really good. I enjoy maybe 2 cups of coffee every morning,, at least one cup. I don't work anymore so my mornings are really enjoyable,, when I did work I had to be there at 6 AM. I'm looking so forward to the New Year. It's a time to start fresh and do new things. Thanks.

Ellen, your new storage cabinet is great! I love it, and it functions as nice storage for you, too! I need to buy a smaller vacuum. My 28 yr old vacuum works fantastic, but it is extremely bulky and very heavy for me to drag around. Plus, it has a short cord, and that can be an issue. I gave my cordless Dyson to my daughter-in-law, which she Loves and appreciates the ease of using it. I will look into buying myself another cordless vacuum. It might be another Dyson, but I will research different brands,too. I want a good one that has great ratings and is dependable. Have a nice evening, Ellen. The stick vac I got is great for me. I like that the motor isn't by the handle. I tried those and don't like them. This one is easy to clean. I have to see how long the battery will last.
People need to be careful when they budget that they don’t $5 & $10 themselves into the oblivion. I have a niece that wasn’t even aware of how much money she was spending everyday because it was her habit to buy certain things like coffee or little things for her kids. When she did a daily spending she was shocked how much it came to monthly, it was like a bill. Emergency funds need to keep up with inflation. The economy isn’t going to magically go down to pre plandemic.
I got tired of being broke so finally quit spending, paid off my debt, and started serious/investing saving by making huge sacrifices (bought old, 1920s house, drove used Honda, no vacations, no new furniture, no a/c). Started my career making $19k in 1995 with 66k in student loans. We had very little disposable income for a family of 3. I tightened the belt as far as I could to invest as much as I could in a 401k and ESPP. I had life happen (spouse died, lost job), but I had made good decisions and made it through. I no longer like to spend or accumulate and make sure every dollar is spent wisely. I could easily buy what I want, but know spending money is “fun”. I would rather buy one expensive, nice item that will continue to make me happy than lots of little things. I don’t shop on Amazon or go to Dollar Tree. It takes determination to make changes, but can be done.
It's nice to be debt free that's for sure 👍 It gives you the freedom to spend the rest of your money as you see fit, or to save it. There's no right or wrong way except avoiding debt.

I was never a big meat eater but I haven't really noticed a difference in my health from not eating it. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis which gets worse the older I get.
Ellen my hubby brought me back some tea christmas time tea from England it was yummy had some tonight . so our youngest son got back from germany and hubby back from England so as a family of 10 of us we went ice skating in the park and then we went to eat at a Vietnamese Resturant it was delicious but i would not have picked a 50 bowl of pho soup but hubby insisted i get it so i did it was delicious . i got outside today i got all my outside decor down thank goodness all i have left is our tree i want to leave our tree up a little longer so that i can enjoy it more . funny you should bring up dollar tree i’m planning on going tomorrow i found some nice body scrub and i want to get more of it . tomorrow at our house is football day so it’s a pizza day with the family 😂 we’re just spending time all together since everyone is finally home . hope you have a nice weekend . love ur new cabinet .

I love the same as cash idea. For us entire window replacement would be 35,000. So we will do it the same way a couple at a time.
Home repairs are so expensive! I'm so glad that I found a reasonable contractor. I'm replacing the windows when the seals break 3 at a time.
