    This is a different world of GA. Its fascinating and the equipment is stellar from the flight helment on down to the tires and brakes. The little crow hop take off is a blast.

    love the stol contest however wold like to see the landing part having to transverse over a 50 ft beam or tape to make it like a real life test,

    Looks like you're using an NR Prop in the video for non-competition flying. We also use an NR on our RANS, with 912ULS Rotax. I just heard from Roman Nikolaenko at NR in Kiev, they're OK and still making props every day, in the middle of a war. His closing remark was, "America is a great country!". Maybe because we're helping them keep their freedom. Anyway, if you need a prop for a Rotax powered plane, I think the NR is an excellent option.

    • @SteveHenry
      @SteveHenry  ปีที่แล้ว

      NR props are good. My new Sensenich prop is really nice as well.

    You think CG would be off with an EP915ECI? With injection and big bore it weighs less than 912ULS. Don’t «need» the XL, but the advantage of extra leverage sounds like a big plus!

    • @SteveHenry
      @SteveHenry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would probably be a real nice combination.

  • @portnuefflyer
    @portnuefflyer ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yup, I like my long tailed S-7S better than my first short 7 for the same reasons you said. Those small tires make sense for what you're doing for sure, heck of a lot lighter too. What's you're empty weight these days? I'll guess......740 lbs.

    How's the ATV tires working? I bet they are lighter in weight than the 27 inch Dresser Tundra tire for the 8 inch wheel, and much cheaper than the Alaska Bush Tire /Airstreaks
