Back in 1996, I can still remember where I was when I first heard Bound For The Floor. For those of us that were still recovering from Kurt Cobain's death and the fading out of the Grunge Era, Local H's sound was just what we needed at the time. They had very similar energy and sound and I was hooked. For me, it felt like they picked up where Nirvana and Grunge left off. I am still a dedicated fan to this very day, too. This band has had a very profound impact on my life. Thanks for giving them some air time on your channel

6 years ago, I went to a Local H concert here in Germany when they toured in Europe as support for Alien Ant Farm. They are one of my favorite bands ever. I grew up listening to them all the time. Seen them live many times. I always looked at them as the other side of the grunge coin to the Nirvana/Pearl Jam side of the scene as Local H songs were less radio friendly and contained adult language.
Wow, after starting off informative, this proved to be terribly rushed and summed a decade+ of great records into about 15 seconds. I saw Local H in concert once… some kids were making fun of them because they only had 2 members… the drummer jumped from the stage and started kicking ass!
That they were persistent in their pursuit of making music to find the moderate success they've achieved is very uplifting. I can't imagine being in a band where more than half the bandmembers quit. As a 2 piece band, that makes it even worse. If I'm Mr. Lucas at that time, I'm looking for bands needing a guitarist not placing an add for a drummer. Hard stuff. Great music though.
If you get the chance, nay, privilege, then go see Local H in concert. They kick ass and put on an excellent show. I have seen them roughly a dozen times, and they never disappoint. Excellent modern albums. Going on 20 years excellent post-peak music, no matter the drummer.
I always knew bound to the floor. But years later I dated a girl that showed me that they had more amazing songs. And they became one of my top 10 bands. I go to see them live anytime there around.
I saw them in St. Louis on one of what had to have been their last tours w/ Scott, and it was pretty pathetic--at least the turn out. The band played great though, and I was very glad to have been there. Always loved the acoustic version of "No Problem". It's one of my favorite songs ever by any band.
I remember this band very cool the lead singer was playing two instruments at the same time Very impressive. I’m shocked they didn’t get farther than that!
Jbtv🙌 and local h is so awesome saw them a few times they still play just even a month ago side note first time i snuck into a concert didn’t even know they were playing
That changing of hands record label nonsense crashed a lot of promising trajectories but thankfully some of the artists stuck to their beliefs and kept on - Local H (Here Comes the Zoo and Hey, Killer are my favorites), Semisonic/Dan Wilson, Superdrag, and sElf all suffered the same fate but still came out on top in their fans' eyes and I Love them for it.
They have 9 studio albums with one coming out as recently as last year, and each one is better than the last. What ever happened to them? They’re still rocking, that’s what!

Saw them at UW Whitewater, Wisconsin back in the 90's. They were great
I saw Local H in concert once… some kids were making fun of them because they only had 2 members… the drummer jumped from the stage and started kicking ass!
Most underrated band ever
Nothing happened to them! Been killing it for decades! Just saw them Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona! Just as good as ever!
If you get the chance, nay, privilege, then go see Local H in concert. They kick ass and put on an excellent show. I have seen them roughly a dozen times, and they never disappoint. Excellent modern albums. Going on 20 years excellent post-peak music, no matter the drummer.
Great. Now their song is playing in my head.
I always knew bound to the floor. But years later I dated a girl that showed me that they had more amazing songs. And they became one of my top 10 bands. I go to see them live anytime there around.
I like everyone else here wonder. Why are Local H not HUGE?
local h is my favorite band of all time.
I still love them - I just wish they'd tour Europe more often
Whatever happened? They kept going! I saw them live in Washington D.C. two nights ago, they kick ass.
They still write and tour. Walkin in to see em right now actually. If ya ever get the chance, do yourself a favor 🤟
An ex girlfriend got me into them in 2006. Here we are in 2024 and I’m going to see them this Monday. Underrated amazing band!
I saw them in St. Louis on one of what had to have been their last tours w/ Scott, and it was pretty pathetic--at least the turn out. The band played great though, and I was very glad to have been there. Always loved the acoustic version of "No Problem". It's one of my favorite songs ever by any band.
A very underrated band. Nothing like a friday night, 8 beers in, and hi-fivin mfer blaring into the night.
I remember this band very cool the lead singer was playing two instruments at the same time Very impressive. I’m shocked they didn’t get farther than that!
Too bad.
Bound for the floor was a really cool song.
Appealed to a lot of people.
Cool video.💪👍🎸🥃
I remember that Local H won a contest to open for Metallica. I saw them in 2017, openning for Toadies @ Gramercy Theater in NY, and put a great set.
Jbtv🙌 and local h is so awesome saw them a few times they still play just even a month ago side note first time i snuck into a concert didn’t even know they were playing
Saw them live a couple weeks ago. Small show, was right up front. Fucking amazing
I did sound for this band a few years ago. They were opening for the toadies. Super nice guys and loud as hell!
I should go listen to some more of their songs
they are criminally underrated. It makes me so mad.
They’re still rocking, that’s what!
this band will be preforming at Louder Than Life this year!!
This is so weird. I haven't listened to local h in awhile and out of the blue I had "California Songs" in my head all day. And then this video comes out today? Hmm....
