It's not about understanding, it's about following emissions rules. A lower emissions 1.6l turbo charged v6 is never going to sound as good as a large displacement, high emissions naturally aspirated engine (or even some big turbo charged engines). We all know this. It's just the way things are. Just wait until all race cars ev, then you'll miss the sound of modern f1 cars... ;)
@@stubones and they absolutely do understand, even the higher ups in the industry will tell you they all miss the glorious sounds of yesteryear. just the way things have to be
no my friend, with how the KERS system works, they could possibly have the KER's excess charge powering a simple centrifugal screw and it would make the same noise (10-20k rpm sounds), the other could be using jet screws on that top intake
What a better way to spend the day with!
Just hells&toes for real good drivers for ever❗❗❗👍🏎️🏁🤓🇨🇵
The beauty of driver rev matching.
Great video as always friend ;)
So much better than the modern gearchange farts a fake exhaust pops and bangs all the chavs seem so fond of.
Great video. It's so hard to pick a favourite. The 787B, C9 and FW14B are all iconic.
Very nice!! Thanks x sharing.
Great video 👍
Ferrari V12s for the win on sound followed closely bye 917 and Matras.
oh i got here just in time!
Thank you!! Love the sounds. Modern F1 does not understand!!!!

I think it was better to have individuality when the driver was operating the accelerator.
Can you do an all muscle car video?
That one's coming soon ;)
@@Retroschaft Yeah ;)
When the inevitable happens and all race cars are EVs it's going to be utterly soulless, even they are quicker.
