We have reacted to a handful of BTS videos, with astonishment, and have decided to take our fandom to the next level by learning where it all started!
We learned a lot about this group. Learning the struggles and negativity they faced honestly was motivating and inspiring to see. Overcoming all the challenges and difficulties a few years ago, and now on top of the chain! Much respect and love to this amazing pop group.

I really enjoyed your thoughts and reaction, however the editing in this video is quite jarring :( May I make a small suggestion?
1. Ditch the background music. BTS reactions aren't copyright claimed unless they're a Japanese song.
2. We're here to see you. 99% of people who watch this reaction will have already seen the original video, and we're here to see *your* reaction to it. Keep yourselves in the larger screen, and keep the video you're reacting to in the bottom left of the screen. The constant camera switches, combined with the background music, make it difficult to really get immersed in this video.
You're free to not listen to me, that's completely fine and totally your call. This is just my opinion. I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts :)

RM made a speech at the United Nations general assembly in New York City in September 2018. BTS have a project called "Love Yourself" and partnered with Unicef an organization dedicated to ending violence against children. They were the first Korean artists to speak at the Assembly.
That is amazing. I respect RM so much partly because of his amazing public speaking and charisma. Amazing and talented man
In the video, you said that Jungkook joined BTS when he auditioned. He actually auditioned when he was younger and trained for some years before joining and debuting with BTS. All auditionees are required to train for some years after passing the auditions. A contract is signed, and you begin your training up until your debut

We have reacted to from nobodies to legends part 1 and 2 and have learned so much more about them. Honestly i have a sentimental place in my heart after watching their struggle and come up. amazing, thanks for the recommendations!
Oh no Jimin claimed another victim. Don't mind he is a very special individual. Everyone thinks he is attractive and it doesn't matter what your gender or general sexual orientation is. It's just how it is. I don't think anyone really knows what his secret is, but since even Namjoon (RM) calls him fairy or angel all the time, it must be something in between. Some kind of supernatural power that makes him irresitible. 😂😂😂
On another note, the two awards you've seen was when they won Album of the Year at Melon Music Awards (Melon is the biggest streaming provider in Korea, you could compare them to Spotify. One of the biggest award shows - you've seen their performance on this years Melon Music Awards) for the first time (2016). And the other was at MAMA (Mnet Asia Music Awards - Mnet you could compare to MTV (when MTV wasn't weird like nowadays). Another extremly big and popular award show.) for Artist of the Year for the first time (2016 as well). As I said this was the first time they won AOTY, they've won it now for the third time this year (2016, 2017, 2018).
If you are interested in how far they've come and how they started off, I would recommend "From Nobodies to Legends 2" (it's the updated version for 2018) on xCeleste's channel. I'll leave the link for you below in a seperate comment (since YT hates me and tends to flag my comments with links as spam). I can recommend her channel in general, Rosan makes very interesting and well edited videos ("BTS Hardships" is another good one, but I've learned it makes ppl angry 😂).

Yes, Jin is known as Worldwide Handsome. My vote goes for RM. Can't resist his smile and dimples. :) JImin is very hard on himself. He's admitted while getting ready for a comeback, he only ate once in 10 days. The song V did was his solo song Singularity. The reason why their success is so sweet is because they weren't from one of the top 3 companies. People thought they were a joke and wouldn't success but they worked their asses off and are finally getting some recognition for all that hard work while still remaining very humble.

Love your reaction. Very honest and genuine. Like someone else mentioned, I would prefer no background music while you're watching the video, but think it adds a nice touch if you're just speaking at the beginning/end. I didn't mind the cuts between large/small screens. :D
Seems like RM and Jimin have caught your eye! I can relate. The same two stood out to me as well. And that's awesome that you think Jimin is the most handsome. He used to get a lot (like, A LOT) of hate online for his looks. People called him fat and ugly in their early years, and he used to struggle with self-image (honestly, all the members do as being in that kind of environment, it's almost impossible not to). But he's much more confident these days and has really been shining.
Song recommended songs:
1) Cypher Pt. 2: starts you out with their cypher series; in this song, the three rappers are basically writing a diss track against the person you saw in that one interview that called Suga/RM "girls" for wearing makeup when they perform and that they betrayed hiphop by becoming idols; you can definitely tell this is an older style (and you'll see how much 90s hiphop influenced their rap) but it will give the first stepping stone so that you can see their rap evolution better
2) House of Cards or The Truth Untold: it will allow you to hear all the vocalists together and their very different vocal colors; BTS is unique in that they have two tenors (Jungkook and Jin), a baritone (V), and a tenor-altino which is the higher tenor natural register (Jimin); most modern pop music is saturated with only one type of voice (tenor for men, soprano for women)....so we're lucky BTS has such great variety
3) Run: it's a music video (and one of my personal favorite title tracks for the sort of jazzy, nostagic vibe it has going) and show you their Bangtan Universe which is a running story through some of their MVs of themselves in an alternate reality; It shows us different boys with different problems (one who has an alcoholic/abusive father, one a mother who abandoned him, one who lives in extreme poverty, one plagued by illness, etc.). But the same universal emotion they feel is that of a young man (or woman) feeling like they don't know what path to take in life, that life is terrifying and overwhelming, that you feel like you can't help but fall and hurt yourself no matter what you do. However, despite all this, you still are alive with the beauty of your youth. And even if you don't know where it will lead, and even if and when you get hurt, as long as you keep running, that's all that matters.
4) 21st Century Girls: just a fun song with a Halloween themed dance practice where they're just being goofy boys; they received criticism that one of their earlier songs had lyrics that were insensitive to women; while these criticisms were largely just anti-fans trying to bring them down, the members still apologized; this song is them making up for that and is a women's empowerment song; RM also said that they now consult a professor of women's studies if/when they write lyrics about women just to make sure everything is kosher (power dynamics between men/women in Korea are different and not to the same level in many sectors that they are here in the west)
5) Spring Day: we call 'Spring Day' "The Queen" in the fandom because of it's staying power on the Korean music charts; the song is beautiful with complex themes of longing after someone you love (whether that person be an old friend, sibling, lover, parent, etc.); the song is also a tribute to the victims of the Sewol Ferry accident; celebrities who spoke out about that event were blacklisted (at the time) because the event was a huge government/company coverup; however, BTS made the message and video subtle enough to bypass any censorship while also having enough symbolism for the message to be clear; also, you HAVE TO watch the explanation video of this song after you watch the video; each member also anonymously donated (later revealed by inside source) about $8,000 each of their own personal money to the charity supporting the families

Yes they won this year too. 3rd year in a row. By the way Jhope didn't start rapping until he joined Bts. Plus they're not hustlers just hard working and focus. You need to watch from nobodies to legends part1 or American Hustle that way you can see how hard they've had to work. Plus they came from a small company so they had no money and were always being told they never make it. To this day they still get missed treated not by their company but other parties. In case you're wondering I've been following them since 2014

Truthfully, I wish people wouldn't react to "who are BTS" videos because they are something you should just watch -- several times. Because they are so complex and so many people have done very good "Who are BTS" videos that are all extremely good. It's hard to absorb all the member's backgrounds in just one setting that a reaction video just doesn't do it justice. That being said....enjoy.

BTS was cristized so much in the past just because they were from an unknown/small company. In korea, the company you debut in is very important, if you debuted in the three big companies (yg,sm, and jyp) it is most likely that you will succeed even if ur a bad singer, take momoland as an example(kidding). When BTS won daesangs(grand prize/most important award bascly) after daesangs people got mad and were really immature, they kept claiming that BTS didn't deserve it and that they were just given to them as charity awards(which is so not true).
JUST A HEADS UP if you do end up watching the music videos that are included in the storyline, I suggest that you keep an open mind and remember everything thats happening and what mv its in. For the mv 'i need' which talks about a girl breaking their hearts and leaving them. The mv and the song doesn't connect so dont try to think that they're killing themselves for a girl.
The story revolves around the BTS members where in JIN acts as a character who is believed to have the ability to travel through time and space. He tries to save his brothers(not by blood) from dying by taking their place. Currently, they have a webtoon up which is titled SAVE ME , which tells you that JUNGKOOK and SUGA are dead, V and JIMIN are nowhere to be seen, RM is in jail, and JHOPE is in the hospital or the mental hospital.

Have you guys seen that show they did called “American hustle” where they flew toLA to work and learn about American hip hop and like coolio was one mentor and Warren g was one and he directed a diffeeent version of their music video for “boy in luv,” it’s honestly brutal to watch but def funny too. They were in LA for like three weeks? A month? But they did different challenges to show they were learning... like create performances and get people to judge their progress and there’s just a lot. I saw there is like 5 ep I believe and they’re on TH-cam . They’re like 25-30 min if you haven’t seen them. It shows them all living like dorm lifestyle but they were really bad at English back then lol so that was interesting:.. some stuff done to them was fucked up... but these boys were so humble pure thoughtful and worked as a team so easily even back then... think it filmed in like 2014 so theybweee a lot younger lol they’re fun watches if you haven’t seen them
