This guy is the worlds best car reviewer.. Been watching him since ages and never been disappointed with any one his videos.. Amazing detailing n story going around..
Kelvin Ndegwa Maby you should pick a GTI with DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control), if the roads are bumpy. Should smooth out these bumps abit when set at Comfort Mode. Another thing that would help, is to buy 17 inch rims & tires, which will improve comfort, as the tires gets more rubber to work with than on bigger wheels.
Well that was one of the best presentations I've seen, your voice and tempo are spot on. You're not trying to rush through, you inject a lot of humour and give character into what you impart to the viewer. First rate job.
Probably the best car review video I've ever watched. So well organized and well spoken. This video alone makes me want to buy a Golf, despite the fact that it's a beautiful car.
My wife has a 2017 GTI S. It’s not at all loaded and wish it had certain specs to make the driving experience more comfortable, but it’s one heck of a fun car. It’s plenty quick with lots of torque and nimble as hell. It’s practical with four doors and cargo space once you put the rear seats down. The fit and build is superb. It’s an incredible daily/weekend car that provides fun sporty driving. Great vehicle
Almost four years in and I still love my gti. The exact same one as this review. Never wanted a brand new car until I drove mine. Fell in love right away. Can't wait to see and drive the mk viii. Maybe I will have my third GTI.
it's truly an everyman car and there's a Golf for almost any budget. From sub-$20k Golfs to $40k golfs. 2 or 4 door, petrol or deisel. You can even get a sportwagen version if you need to haul more things or e-golf if you want to go electric. I don't think any single car model today has as much range or versatility.
Wow man, you really know how to make a person fall in love with a car. Great review. And you look a lot like David Lee Roth, which makes you the coolest reviewer ever!
What a great little urban warrior. A pocket rocket that is sensible and still practical for daily driving. If it came down to it, I would definitely trade my A4 for this GTI.
FANTASTIC, practical, and quick cars! One of my 2 cars is a 2003 VR6 GTI that I have had almost 13 years now, with 197,340 miles on the clock! Very reliable too! The GTI pedigree is legendary!
I'm about to get a Golf GTI SE, and I've been fighting in my head over it, but I really want it, these reviews are super helpful always great to hear other opinions.
He meant that you can switch around pound-feet with foot-pounds. Since the weight and distance units are multiplied, it doesn't matter what order you out them in. They're both correct
You are brilliant! If I can have the honor of meeting you in person I'd need an autograph! Great review hoping for a review on the new 2015 dodge charger in the near future.
Steve that's the Reston Town Center! I live 5 minutes away from there I wish I was there when you filmed this. Love your videos! I hope to see you more around NOVA filming and I'd love to meet you someday! Best of luck with future videos. Cheers, Andrew
Thanks a lot! Our corporate office is located near the Reston Town Center so it makes for a convenient location. I wanted to shoot more of a "city" theme for this video and the RTC is such a nicely designed community that I thought it was a perfect setting. I hope I get a chance to bump into you someday as well! Thanks for watching our videos and I hope you tell alllllllllllllllllll of your friends to subscribe..:) Steve
Are these vw gti really reliable? I just test drove one and loved everything about it, but how reliable is it and whats the general life expectancy on them before things start breaking off? and is maintance expensive?? I really wanna get one, they're selling one for 17k with 31k mileage on it, after taxes and fees etc probably comes down close to 19k..any suggestion?
Looks like the dash is high compared to how you sit - do you feel like you have a good view over the hood? Oh yeah, make mine a manual please. Nice review.
Thanks for your kind compliment. I really appreciate it. Our company is actually building a Hyundai store that should open in the next couple of months. When it does I'll be sure to review the Genesis for you and other Hyundais as time goes on..:) Steve
Nice car ! Im in the market for a hot hatch and I think I am going to go with the Fiesta ST ! But I tell ya this GTI makes it a hard choice despite the cost difference.
After being made in the Mexico, did the Golfs get cheaper there in the US? Cause here in Brazil it stayed at the same price. When it should be cheaper to buy...
They didn't get cheaper per se, but they are about similar in costs. Just now, with the savings they get from having a plant in Mexico. VW is able to offer more bang for your buck. They are giving you more premium features, at a not so increased premium price. If that makes any sense.
+Frederico Schmitz They are slightly cheaper, reason why is that the US market can be supplied with GTIs a lot easier, thus bringing the cost down. Simple supply/demand thingy.
+nick michael this or FUCKUS 2016....ewww american...ford has shitty reliablity...fuck that..GTI all day long. nothing beats the supreme quality of a gti for the price
If it makes you feel better, I drive a 2004 Volkswagen Passat and the car is still going strong after 160k miles.. About 3 of my friends drive VW Golfs and they are super reliable as well lol.
The WRX's interior is bland/cheap feeling and leather isn't available unless you buy the highest trim level, gas mileage is significantly lower, 5 speed transmission only... The Subaru's boxer engine/drivetrain isn't all that great overall, the transmissions have been inherently weak since the birth of the WRX and the engine block is known to flex just from using aftermarket head studs. Buy what you want, those of us with standards will purchase our own.
Internexus Not true Internexus. The 2015 WRX is a 6 speed transmission. 2015 WRX interior has been significantly upgraded. The WRX's prior to 2015 are 5 speed only.
Let me first say...this Mk7 GTI is on a completely different level. I drove a very nicely modded mk6 GTI for 3.5 years and 75k miles. I had a great experience and loved my Stage 2 powered car with VWR coilover suspension. However, as values for mk6 were tanking I decided to test drive this new car... Well, I tried to contain my excitement when dealing with the salesman but damn...the 7 is better in every way. Stock power is very good! Suspension is incredibly good! This car look amazing inside and out, it's downright sexy now. Worried about build quality? Don't!!! My hecha en Mexico GTI is flawless with tighter body gaps, no creaks or other noises, and every panel is perfectly align. This thing exudes quality! My German made mk6 required adjustment of the door striker plates and the rear spoiler was misaligned... The Mexico plant is doing a great job! Like this video says, the parts are coming from Germany. What else can I say...it is a true pleasure to drive and the tech in this new car is on another level as well. Wow man, you really know how to make a person fall in love with a car. Great review. And you look a lot like David Lee Roth, which makes you the coolest reviewer ever!

One of the best American reviewers. Excellent review. Cheers from Canada.
david dykeman Thanks so much for your kind words! Cheers right back at ya..:) Steve
Steve, you could be advertising a turd in a box..and I'd still buy it. Great review :)
Hands down the best U.S. GTI review I've seen on youtube. +1 subscriber
I have the white one, but I like the red too🙃
You make every car seem special.
That's because they are..:) Steve
Another fantastic film by Steve and the brilliant team at Rosenthal! The new GTI is a wonderful hot hatch that I have to own. Arriba!
This is the most beautiful hatchback ever.
FANTASTIC, practical, and quick cars! One of my 2 cars is a 2003 VR6 GTI that I have had almost 13 years now, with 197,340 miles on the clock! Very reliable too! The GTI pedigree is legendary!

Great video. Make me want to purchase one. But what about the prices and extra packages? Thanks.
1:45 It's always Pounds-Feet or Newton-Meters when it comes to Torque no matter who you ask...
He meant that you can switch around pound-feet with foot-pounds. Since the weight and distance units are multiplied, it doesn't matter what order you out them in. They're both correct
maximus9401 No. They are not multiplied. They are cross multiplied. A cross B is not equal to B cross A. Trust me, I'm an engineer.
***** So what's the difference between pound-feet and foot-pounds?
maximus9401 I can't explain physics in a TH-cam comment. Please search up what Torque is. I'm sure you'll find your answer.
***** aww :(
Great review as always, sir. Here in Europe, we get LED rear lights as well, do you know why the U.S cars doesnt get it?
Does America have the performance packed GTI or just base model GTI and the R?
You are brilliant! If I can have the honor of meeting you in person I'd need an autograph! Great review hoping for a review on the new 2015 dodge charger in the near future.

Excellent video! Nice overview!!!
Great review....
Very professional and informative review by a guy that doesn't come across as an ill informed salesmen...
Good stuff-
this guy is pretty darn cool
I test drove this car and I like how my 2014 GTI drives and feels better.
Great review !

Love your reviews, would you be able to review an Audi rs7 or no?
You've got so much class on Audi reviews, by the way ;)
Great review. Thank you.
Are you in anyway related to Michael Douglas? Lol
My thoughts exactly...since day one I first seen this guy :)
plz do m235i
good review
prepare to get famous once again
Hey, I've been waiting for a new review. Thanks for the upload.
Nice review. Only thing missing is that some of the features are options which the reviewer fails to explain.
Is it available in 3 door?
Good car nice video!
Why does it have the old style hand brake and no tail LED
because it will cost more in the usa with ll those options *****
You guys should review the mercedes g wagon!!
this or the fucus st 2016? be honest
+nick michael GTI!

It does have if - Autobahn w/ performance pkg
how much is this model?
Hope they fixed the reliability ..
Performance Pack is out now! Need a new video! The LSD is supposed to be incredible.
I'm seriously considering buying one of this vw's

Internexus Not true Internexus. The 2015 WRX is a 6 speed transmission. 2015 WRX interior has been significantly upgraded. The WRX's prior to 2015 are 5 speed only.
very simple answer ...
VW Golf GTI named "North American Car of the Year 2015" in New York !!!
anymore question ?
if the dealership let me test drive it w/o commiting me to throw a deposit to get the car, i'd likely would've gotten the WRX.
I was worried when captain dad-jeans turned up in his crispy whites.... But great review, thanks
It's a bird...it's a plane...NO... It's Captain Dad-Jeans!!! You're very welcome...:) Steve
This guy was great
After the last intelligent Netizen's comment, I've pulled everything. I completely forgot this was TH-cam and this video would attract the kids.

I'm sold!

better buy audi s3

He has had negative comments on the cars he reviews he's just very Witty with them, listen to every word he says in his videos you'll see.
well, he criticizes missing or missplaced cup holders every time. Of course in the US, that's all unbiased information you need.
Hah, that's hardly a criticism... Rather a "poke" at audi, jokingly. And 6lbs of rotational mass is a lot !!
I do realise that your comment is satirical... Don't worry. And if they are not true reviews, they should not be titled as reviews.
