I am Sri Lankan, I hadnt watched a single RWC match until that day. I just started watching bcz my entire fmily was watching it. For most of the Sri Lankans, their fav foreign rugby team used to be AB's or Boks. But from that moment on i became an England fan 😌❤
I was working in a warehouse doing the annual stock take when this was on. We could only listen to it on the radio, but for the last 15 minutes, everyone just stopped working and listened. Even the boss of the entire logistics division stopped and listened and when we heard Wilko score that drop goal, everyone went nuts.
Such a good game. Not even really a rugby fan but what a match and what a finish. You still hear even from Aussie fans how good a match it was, even with the disappointment of losing a final. Just an electrifying finish, like time slowed for a moment.
I do have great hopes of this England squad. Strength in depth and some real quality. We need to play All Blacks soon. Just to see how close to them we might be .
And Ireland got beat by Wales and Scotland so until Ireland actually win a WC, which probably won't happen unless they host it because the Irish only play well when they've got the crowd backing them, then probably best to shut-up. Furthermore, I don't see Ireland atop the record streak with NZ or England either.
None of that happens without Moody flying in to charge down the clearance kick before we got the ball back. Without that sliced kick, we’re in our own half.
yes it took the aussies by surprise, but, dawson was buried, and neil back was acting scrum half, and didn't know what to do with the ball, that's when the brilliant captain, martin, screamed for the ball, took it in, and never made a single yard, but what that did was ,it freed up matt, and gave jonny time to set, and then, over it goes

You England is bloody tiny compared to a lot of countries and it just shows what great spirit we have as a nation to win in so many sports. I know we invented half of them, but still bloody amazing achievement.
England has 11x the amount of people as New Zealand. Yet, New Zealand is the greatest Rugby nation of all time with a mere 4 million people winning 3 times the amount of Rugby World Cups as England.
James Hartnett don’t worry , the influx of Muslims into New Zealand is going to make your population double every 10 years. Do you think that’ll give you more kiwis for sport?
@@jameshartnett6387 England has won the Cricket and Football World Cups too. The only country to win all three. And that's unlikely to change any time soon.
