thanks, yes I love a detailed truck with a nice patina. gotta have a good contrast of old and new. too many people putting too much new stuff on these and it just takes away from the era.
Just saw your post on interior of 49 Chevy truck . Those gages. Are nice. Did you rebuild them yourself or get someone else? I need to address a 49 Pontiac silver steak speedometer cluster. Can you suggest anything
thanks sorry late reply, seat is from 88-89 as they have a specific frame. but most 88-98 should work I think. I had ricks upholstery do the sewing and I hog tied it on. I supplied them with the material.
350 vortec 96-99 base engine outta trucks and burbs. it is full roller, so rockers, cam, timing chain. 1.6 rockers with the gm hotcam total lift of .526 if I recall. 7/16th studs in heads, springs, retainers and locks from alexparts.com all new internals. high rise vortec intake. eddy 600 carb. thing had alot get up and go, got good mpg also. I'll prolly do mostly LS engines in all my builds for now. but if I ever go back to sbc, I'd only want to deal with the vortec stuff.

I researched and it's a "late 49" because it doesnt say thriftmaster on the side. He showed me a few pictures it looks totally straight and rust free from Southern California. It is four on the floor. Everything looks original and complete. Any idea of value? Thanks for your time.
The motor sounds really good and I like how it's all painted and custom on the inside really nice job man

I assume you (or someone else before you) have changed the doors because it can't be a 49 with those doors.. The vent windows didn't start until 51.

Put on a heavy coat of Rain X and forget about trying to use those wipers...
Is this the original chassis? I have a 49 and would love to keep the chassis if I could.
no this one is on s10 chassis, both frames have pros and cons. I'v used both frames.

No just a custom gold I mixed up.
No tubs?
correct not tubs. tires are only 26" tall and 7" wide rim. blazer 4x4 rear with 1" spacers.

That not a '49...vented windows started in '51.
Actually is a 49' the one door is a 51'. Im well away of the differences in these trucks.

Get rid of the air ride and I'll take it..
Garrett, I like to use chevy 88-98 truck or suburban seats. it folds forward and retracts. very easy to upholster too. thanks
The problem with suburban seats they have a problem of getting stuck and you have to take it apart to fix it
