Very interesting film. Lommel's early 80s films from The Boogeyman, Olivia, The Devonsville Terror, and Brainwaves are all pretty good, mainly because his then wife Suzanna Love, who is gorgeous, starred in them, and played offbeat characters that were appealing.

It works especially well here! Grimy English kitchen to Arizona sunshine, love that juxtaposition.

Agreed, at the very least they're interesting in a way his later output just isn't.

I think Tenderness of Wolves is probably a better movie but I love Olivia that much more for that midpoint shift :)
