I found out that my father has the genetic disorder and my blood pressure was not controlled by meds of every kind so I insisted on a genetic test to see if I had the gene mutation which came back positive. So give credence to your worries even if the doctor says "it's rare".

My husband is currently in hospital. A month ago, he had bronchitis and then went over to pneumonia. According to the doctors. Now, his symptoms didn't get better, but worse. Difficult breathing felt like his chest was compressed, and his tummy was swollen. So he was admitted to the hospital. Today, we were told he has pulmonary hypertension. Could pneumonia cause this?
A late question: my father passed away from pulmonary fibrosis. Is there any connection to this and PH. I am concerned if this is hereditary because I only have breathing issues if I am active with elevation variations, including just a flight of stairs. Thanks
Can PH cause leg pain? I've had U/S of leg arteries and veins and they were OK ,but I'm having fairly sudden shortness of breath with any exertion ,leg swelling,and upper abdominal enlargement, but my legs hurt the more I move.

i was diagnosed at 28 diastolic dysfunction grade lll and mild ph i got it by using meth now i am doing well im sober now

As someone with PAH since 2020, I find a lot of this info incorrect in my experience.
