- A long time ago Nathan Milstein, one of my favourite violinists, put together a compilation of his favourite Paganini pieces and called his composition Paganiniana.
Knowing my love of the music of Chopin, someone suggested I do the same and put together a compilation of my favourite Chopin pieces.
Although Chopin's music was written for piano, this is my solo violin tribute to this great composer.
I'll call it Chopiniana and I hope you enjoy it :)

EXCELLENT! Your solos are best. They allow your true colors to shine.
Your best piece and performance so far. While all of your videos are great your tallent reaches a pinnacle with this one. The technical complexity and artistic interpretation are in perfect sync. Cirque du Soleil are lucky to have you as their solo violinist in their new show, obviously your talent hasn't gone unnoticed. Your biggest silent fan has finally posted a comment, and one that you most definitely deserve.

You have a recognizable sound, excellent production, very pleasant to watch, a charming smile and, most importantly, a magnificent, recognizable writing language! So beautiful! I will listen! And I would buy the album or merch, sorry for these bad times...
I remembering following you when I was in jr high around 2011/12. I was really impressed and inspired by your playing back then and still am. I don't play violin anymore but it is really great to see your playing still. Feels like a lot has gone by since then and there are many things I wish I could do in the future, since I can't change the past. Glad to see you're still with it!

Marvellous choice of Chopin"s compositions, perfectly executed with your own special interpretation and style of playing. This video is definitely your apogee up until now. From 13:03 on the powerful ending is simply astonishing. You are definitely one of the great violinists of our time.

Stepan plays both solo and accompanying violin with Cirque de Soleil in their new show called Crystal. This show is presently touring North America.
