The writing in this game was fantastic, the writers consider it the lost episode because they honestly treated it as that in the writers room. Thanks for finally doing an episode on my favorite TV show . Love the video guys !

To be fair: unlike the most PS2 games with sewer levels this one actually has a reason to be there because it was an important part of the Show in Futurama

My favorite part about this game is that the game is actually a scrapped episode that had full voice acting already done for it I believe they just recreated it into the game
I hate to be that guy but all the lines were recorded for the game and the script was written for the game . Phil Lamar wasnt available due to budgetary reason which is why Hermes has a brain slug. I'm sure the overall plot was a scrapped episode but I cant find anything on that .
@@pfarnsworth8812 ahh I guess you’re right but when I originally watched the “the lost episode” on the beast with a billion backs DVD specials it was just the cutscenes of the game put together in episode form because the game coincidentally held the exact 28 minutes of cutscenes that made it own episode and I believe I remember hearing this was a scrapped episode with most of the voice work done in the directors commentary. Looking on wiki I can’t find this but I used to own all futuramas on DVD and the special features are always my fave

Eh, I know this game isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I'll have always have a soft spot for it. As a Futurama fan it just felt so good to play in this world and see all the characters (especially since they got the actual voice actors) and all the easter eggs and charm made the just kind meh platforming worth it
I agree. It definitely had flaws (like seriously, fuck that Zoidberg section), but it was one of the first video games I ever played. So I'll always have a soft spot for it.
What I find amazing is that there was one quite literal Easter Egg easter egg that was only discovered like... last year.
There is having dedicated fans, and then there is whatever the hell you call that.

The game was released in 2003 for the PS2-GameCube era
Honestly for a game that’s old enough to join the military or vote the graphics are pretty great . On an old tv back in the day this probably looked extremely like the show. The 2006 simpsons game on ps3 has these same kind of graphics just more HD low key
The cutscenes in the game were repackaged as a lost episode for one of the DVD releases. Though I can't remember if it was Bender's Big Score or not.

I was afraid we didn't hit the like requirement and that is why they took so long to upload.
Good lord, I never actually went back to see Fry's dead body as a kid, but that would've traumatized me for life. The sewer level was probably the hardest level of the entire game as well and kept me from beating the game for several weeks. The insta-kill sewer water and the coffin platforming is the vein of my existence.

Fry takes the first third of the whole game. Then Bender on another planet, then Leela on the sun. One level as Zoidberg. Then they all team up at the end but honestly, i never got that far because this game got impossibly difficult. In fact the only game ive ever played in my life that i couldn’t complete.

GREATEST GAME IN HISTORY
It was sad to see Futurama go, but they gave it one hell of a finale. And the show ending is what made it great, unlike the Simpsons being overworked by FOX.
Usually when they revive a series it sucks. Sometimes dead is better.

i had both this game AND hit and run, and i played them both equally, something about this game had me hooked as a kid, and i could never finish it without cheats haha
Sewer levels - Designed specifically for PS2 movie/TV game devs not to have to render entire cities for the player to walk around.

This isn’t the best video game bast of a tv shoot out there but it’s not the worst and even with its issues it still tried to give you variety through the story of the game. It let you control multiple characters and they all had different gameplay even though bender and leela’s gameplay were almost identical beaches 👍

I collect video games so when I saw this video I was thinking "Oh I need to get this game". So I work at a retail media store where I'm able to put stuff on request, meaning if someone sells us the thing they'll let me know and it will be on hold for me to get it. So I went into the computer to put it on request and then my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw the price we're selling it for...
If that game comes into the store we'd be selling it for $199.99 my guess as to why is that they didn't make to many copies of this game so it's rarer find, the only other games that get priced that much are the typical stuff like certain old anime styled games or horror games.

I LOVED this game... but man the difficult spikes were horrendous! The only way I completed it was with the invincibility cheat... but honestly, aside from the difficulty and janky camera, it was a fun experience.

I think this games amazing all the little Easter eggs make this game beautiful and the characters lines are ahead of it’s time it reminds me of borderlands I genuinely laugh playing the game. I just discovered it exsist and I’m addicted it’s so dope
