I went to paramedic school a long time ago in Fargo ND. FM Ambulance provided all levels of training EMT, Intermediate, and Medic. The program has grown to having an association with NDSSS out of Whapeton ND. But, Good Fellowship sure seems to have all kinds relationships for working with other EMS providers
@@alfe1402 It depends on the program set up. Some are Certificate Programs where a student takes about 9 months ( I did this type of program. I did two days of classroom a week, then did hospital clinicals in the ER, Surgery, OB, ICU, Lab, and doing field internships) Some are Associate Degrees taking 60 semester hours of classes and clinicals over the course of 2 years. That is assuming you have your National Registry EMT certification. Then of course upon completion of the course work you will have to pass the National Registry Paramedic Examination. Full trained is poor term in my view. Paramedics are members of the medical field. They operate under the direction of a medical director. So you train dogs. You educate people. Most systems have field training program that involves riding along, class room work, and perhaps additional classes.
only 11month for becoming a Prehospital professional is definitely not a lot. 36months should be the minimum, it's not only school lessons, but a also all the intern rotations in the hospital ....
SWEET SCHOOL!! ONE OF A KIND I BET!!

New Castle also has a year long apprenticeship prior to being cut lose on your own. But you are working and getting paid.
In my country you need to be a fully trained nursed specialised on the ICU and ER to be a ambulance proffesional
