My wife has her own cleaning business. She uses oven cleaner for the top of stoves. Just let the oven cleaner sit for 3 or 4 hours. It will pretty much wipe off.
You might want to put a rubber band on your hook and eye latch before you get underway. It could bounce out of the eye if you hit a good sized pump. Child proof latches are invisible.
Take my word for it, magic erasers are amazing on that kind of burnt on stuff. I have rental properties and after 30 years of cleaning up after tenants that leave behind nasty stoves, I have used a lot of different stuff and magic erasers have been one go to for me.

Hi honies, baking soda and vinegar work great for burned on stuff like that. Just apply some baking soda then either spray on or pour on some vinegar let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes and scrub off under running water. Hot water is best but not necessary. 😊 love watching you guys

If you cover your stovetop with tin foil all you have to do is change the foil when it’s dirty. That’s what I used to do.
I put tension curtain rods in my cupboards to keep things from falling out when you open the doors 🎉🎉

Also, try The Pink Stuff paste on your stove top. I use it to clean all grease in my kitchen, especially my microwave.

Try spray on oven cleaner on the stovetop and let it sit a bit.
You know what works great cleaning the stove top is easy off oven cleaner.
