For sure! Best way to buy. I just bought a 2020 capita doa with Union Force for $150. Dude only rode it 5 times it looks brand new lol. So stoked to have a nice setup, my first boards were nowhere as nice or new 🤙

Picked up the Freecarver 6000 and 20 days deep into a New Zealand season with it. I pick it from the quiver more than any other board. It absolutely turns on a dime and does indeed carve a very cavernous trench. Surprisingly playful and has a decent cushion to jump with. The short tail can tap out on the larger steeper turns... the 9000 would solve that but I only have so many pesos
Sold a lot of snowboards last season, and the Orca was always selling out when we got it. I put a lot of customers on Ride snowboards, I personally bought the Physcocandy and could not get off the board. Especially for our record breaking snowfall last season in Utah, the fact I can ride such a small board in insane powder almost doesn't make sense. I have the Ride burnout in my fleet and really enjoyed that board in the park, Slash Happy Place is my absolute go to for the park IMO. Also grabbed a Salomon High Path last year for the deep and steep days, overall with all of the different boards I was riding last year I'm going to have to side with Ride snowboards. Love their products and am stoked to be able to sell their gear!

Hey man I've been researching a ton of different carving boards and I've narrowed my options down to two. The first is the Ride Peace seeker which you did a review on a while back and the second is the nidecker smoke. Not sure if you've been able to ride the new model of the smoke but any thoughts on which one I should go with? I wear a size 12 US boot and I'd like a board that I can carve hard, quick, but also go fast on. Let me know what you think, thanks!
Smoke got better but it's still not as good as the Peace Seeker.
One day on the Aeronaut and I think it’s the best snowboard I’ve rode. It wants to go fast, holds its edges in chop and boosts.

Basically a softer version of the Thunder with a tweak to the shaping.
Would you recommend the Doa. Box knife. Assassin . Jones twin for a intermediate enthusiast ? What bindings also. Im just a resort guy. Nothing crazy
Take your pick and then watch the reviews of all of those and look at the recommended bindings.

Would it be redundant to get the capita aeronaut if i already own a kazu pro? I love the Kazu but im looking for a slightly less agressive board to compliment it. The aeronaut seems like it shares many charactersrics i like in the kazu but with a less aggresive side cut and flex rating so I would use it for end of the day. I like going fast and hitting jumps so this board appeals to me

Stuck between mega death and the deep fake. Looking for an all mountain resort board that’s solid but still fun. Already have a camel two for pow and a yes greats. What are the big differences between the two/what would you pick to round out this three board quiver? Price doesn’t matter, they’re both expensive anyway
Mega Death if you want to go fast and only ride it on special occasions. Deep Fake for more all around versatility.
I bought the apex orca pricey but it should be a blast!
Board/binding Rec that is quick and nimble in the trees out here in colorado. All the shops tell me mercury, Jones mind expander, or orca. Curious what your take is. Keep killin it Angry

Bataleon Camel Two. Quickest turning board with a tail I have ever ridden and I have been snowboarding since 1984. I think it may be discontinued this year which means you can probably pick up last year’s model on the interwebs for cheap.
Last years Bataleon Whatever Beyond Medals is a great board too.
I want one just for the base graphic so that all those 70s ski legends will chat about the artist and ski ballet in the queue with me.

Freaker still exists. Rene-gade is essentially your late 90's early 2000's true twin with a stiff flex and camber.

Which is the main difference between beyond medals 24 and goliath + 24 besides the 4 extra inserts for more freestyle capabilities.

Got a pentaquark, any reason to care about Freecarver 9000? Seems similar but magnetraction does appeal for my icy locale, that said I'm guessing amplid's damping is superior.
If you wanted something more directional and with different edge grip underfoot, but to me seems like you're set.
@Angrysnowboarder - when you say the BSoD is more aggressive, how do you define aggressiveness? (stiffer? faster? requires more leg work?)

Get a directional twin. Something like the K2 Raygun Pop or Gateway Pop, Rome Warden, or Nidecker Score. You'll be fine on those.

Got the last mega death from my local store, it's all pre-orders now. Rode a DOA for the past two years. Was going to get the super doa before I found the dave mustaine.

@HermeticDawn17 love the DOA, probably my default board. The true twin is great for playing around, having a good time. I think the mega death is going to be my run bomber, and I'll pull the doa out when I'm feeling more playful.

Im thinking about actually getting an Orca this season but what are differences between all the varients? Should I just stick to the base Orca? Do I HAVE to join the cult?
If you buy one you're in the cult. So the big thing between the regular Orca and Golden is the shape and construction. Then when you get into Apex territory they add even more marking BS and tech to it.
I've been on a Golden Orca for 1.5 seasons and absolutly love the board. I really don't know how 2x the price can make the Apex 2x better. Curated has the 2023 153 on sale for $559

Mega Death.

It's stiffer and has more camber in it giving it a bit more pop.

Discontinued for North America, Austria is supposed to have them for this season. They're slowly pulling out of the board market.

No, that's going to be more like the old Y by Yes. More torsional flex, less rebound, different sidecut.

I think if we break down what boards are made in the USA it leaves us with Liberace Technologies and Never Summer. However, I would still ride a Capita based on their factory and where it is at.
