Did Thomas Torrance, in any way, pervert Barth's theology? Thanks

Only a professor or Ph.D. with knowledge of Barth-Torrance could answer you, but I doubt if anyone would say 'pervert'.
Thomas Torrance's Edinburgh lectures to student ministers have been published under the title *Incarnation* : most readable.
The New Testament scholar James M Robinson heard Barth lecture in Basle on angels, and Robertson doubted Barth really believed what he was teaching, which is a bit cheeky.
Ved Mehta wrote a series of articles for The New Yorker published in paperback under the title *The New Theologians*.
Mehta, with no more academic background than myself, gives an affectionate sketch of the ailing Barth at home, and then visits Rudolf Bultmann who tells Mehta that neither he nor his postgraduate students can believe in the Second Coming.
