Will SPR beat NPR/Dwarka Expressway?
SPR Redevelopment Plan
The Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will be conducting special repair work on the 8km stretch of Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) from Ghata to Vatika Chowk at a cost of Rs 8.5 crore. This move comes after the chief minister directed officials to review the redevelopment plan. The project will include overlaying the main carriageway, repairing a junction, and desilting the drain. The GMDA is also exploring the possibility of building an elevated structure between Vatika Chowk and NH-8 for improved connectivity. Residents are unhappy with the slow progress of the redevelopment.

Dwarka expressway has little to no social infrastructure like schools, hospitals. Large portion of SPR is near the centre of Gurgaon like Huda Metro/Rajiv Chowk etc. Lots of schools and hospitals nearby.
At present, SPR is certainly much more livable for Gurgaon based folks.
Dwarka might be more suited to people with jobs in Delhi.
Just look at the traffic today on SPR- it has increased 5 times in the last two years.
Many builders and corporates are finally coming in and once GMDA fulfills its road plans, SPR will be equivalent to Golf course extension in the short term.
In the long term, once Cyber Hub 2 comes to life in the next 5-10 years, SPR may even become comparable to Golf course road.
Cyber hub 2 is 5 times bigger in area than current Cyber hub.

The problem is Gurgoan admin is not able to do anything. Dwarka expressway is due to NHAI initiative and Golf course road upto Sec 56 is due to DLF. Rest of the Gurgoan is suppering infra
