@@cinder2077 I'm sorry, but Zulmak is actually Savathun's creation. Read the Inquisition of the Damned lore book. Daughters of Crota needed a champion to replace their father and lead the swarm, Zulmak was the best candidate (even though he lacked in cunning). A disgraced Knight, Akrazul, who was inhabiting the body of his Deathsinger sister Azavath at the time, killed Zulmak, but Azavath in another sister's body sang the Deathsong to put her raging brother to rest. While they were at it, Crota's daughters decided to use the power of the Pyramid to raise Zulmak and use him as their puppet. And Savathun orchestrated all of this. That's what the Altars of Sorrow are for - Hive harvest nightmares to revive Zulmak. That's why the dungeon is called Pit of Heresy - according to Hive religion, if something dies it didn't deserve to live in the first place, so to bring someone back from dead is heresy.
I still remember the first time i fought the taken, it was so terrifying and yet exciting, that's still my favorite mission so far. And also the last time i remember destiny having me at the edge of my seat.
Maybe with the Hive Guardians coming soon that will change.
this is why i love oryx
Would bet there is a trend for someone to be nonplussed when Oryx's voice seems higher pitched and more wispy than one remembers, surely shows to the gravity of his character.
Oryx is top tier destiny villain. Absolutely the Apex villain of the franchise so far. Doubt he'll ever be topped, especially at the rate Destiny's story writing is going these days
He was topped numerous times now lol
@@Ostrava6572 this comment is nearly 3 years old and you felt the need to reply now? When I left this comment Oryx had most definitely *not* been topped, and I'd argue that aside from The Witness & maybe his two disciples, there have still been almost no good villains whatsoever added to the franchise in that time
@@Hylian_Glitchmobber I responded to it and your replied right back. Why do you almost seem offended? Of course Oryx was the best back then (which isn’t saying anything as he was not a great villain), you just doubted he would ever been topped. Rhulk and Savathun knocked it out of the ball park. I just commented because it’s great how far the game had come by this point. If you don’t like that I responded then don’t reply, simple as
He's gonna take 'em all.
It is his destiny!
He said he said the title
Me when my mom tells me to only take 2 vitamin gummies per day
Oryx: i will take them all !
5 random Guardians: not happening buddy 😁

0:49, I've been asking this question since the Taken King released, "Who is that and why doesn't he appear for the rest of the expansion?"
He's Ecthar Sword of Oryx. He's the dude you kill to go through the sword reforged quest, he has a shield that can only be broken by sword attacks.
You kill him on the way to wher you'd go for the darkblade strike... where you have to stand on the plates on each side and shoot the shrieker things.
I forget that Hive (and all enemy races really) are intelligent. Sometimes I feel like I'm just shooting mindless drones. I truly missed out not playing D1.
#HIVETEAM
Commands fear and respect more than any other villain among Destiny players. Even the Witness doesn't have as much gravity as the one true king.
Destiny's smartest villain also the most feared no race could lay a finger on him even beat savathun at her own game
God I miss when destiny was this cool
1:01 When you saw a bowls of potato chips
I like how one of them split apart in fear
Makes its so unbelievable that any mere human or humans could defeat such a force!!
This was our Arthas, never forget.
TH-cam recommended me this.
i wish he could take me
He in fact took very few of them
Hey Bungie, you made nice games like Halo and Destiny and you made history for Xbox with Halo Combat Evolved, you are the best company I know
;)
1:01 Lil Nas X when he sees muscular men
It’s crazy how oryx started out as a sister and is now a actual male
Yep, after he gained his ascendant hive powers he chose the king morph, I’m pretty sure it’s the only intrinsically male hive morph as the Wizards are always female and the knights can be either.
I have a difficult time placing favorites between Oryx and Ghaul, they were both very good
Best destiny villain
0:26 Dude so scared he's beside himself
Oryx was the peak of destiny villains
I remember back in 8th grade when I would talk about destiny with my friend during living environment class. The day before he got the exotic titan chest plate Ammerteraium whatever the fuck it was called. It was good times. I'm in my third year of college now. Fml
Oryx: I will eat them
Knight: what?
Oryx: I will eat them all
Knight: ok… what do you want to do with the cabal we gathered up
Oryx: I will eat them as well
Th good ole days.
oryx the taken king makes all hive taken
0:31-0:41 rule of shadow clones, you gain whatever knowledge after they disperse
Friends: What kind do you want?
Fat kid at the donut shop:
.......I'm the fat kid at the donut shop..😥
Ba da bup ba ba, and I'm loving it.
Imagine Smaug but more posh, and elegant tone to his voice, a deep, low gargle hitting his vocal fry perfectly with a monstrous, malevolent voice
From all the dlc, the Taken King was the best for me. He brought a different aspect to the game on the day of its release
oryx: gotta take 'em all
