It's not only the accent... all her mannerisms and the tone in her voice changes til the point every character looks played by a totally different actress. She's amazingly talented.
Agree. I watch Lovely Bones and Hanna on separate occasions and didn’t realise it was her until I looked her name up. Both characters felt totally different even though were the same actress

Wow I didn't know she did so many different accents at such a young age. She's so talented! I only though she did British accent in Atonement as youth. Her American accent is so good in this
i really thought she was american when i watched that movie with michelle pfeiffer back then!! impressive ability for a kid... and it's not just the accuracy of accents in itself, but also how naturally it comes. love her so much :-))
Her French in Mary, Queen of Scots was legit unbelievable. I didn’t hear a single difference between her “Sacramento” accent and her American accent though and I’m American and have lived in Chicago and California.
I grew up in the Bay Area and would often visit family in Sacramento. Our accent is sharper, more angular, and yet lighter as well. It's subtle, but it's there.
She is unreal. Love seeing these young and talented kids in their best element. I hope she does more complex and challenging roles with her natural ease in acting. Love from India. 🌻
😍 All those years playing with her dolls and conversating with them has definitely made her so great at accents, ofcourse, she is an only child, who wouldnt 😌
As somebody who is visually impaired and relies a lot more on a person‘s voice than anything, most of the time I’m unable to tell it is Saoirse Ronan when she does her different accents. That’s how good she is. It’s awesome. What a legend!
The fact that her Irish accent is sooooooo far from any of these accents blows my mind. I can never ever do accents. Hats off to Saoirse. But funny how she doesn't sound most comfortable in Brooklyn when it's her normal accent.

thats interesting, also she's been so skinny in her whole life, but Brooklyn she is definitely a lot thicker. I actually like it but am curious about it. Only because I'm wondering is she was hiding a pregnancy. but I doubt it, she did get right back into her normal figure after Brooklyn.
@@pablowalker8695 why would you make a conclusion that she gained weight because of a pregnancy lol. Actors gain weight all the time for roles. The directors/producers probably just wanted her to look fuller for Brooklyn.
first of all @@aqrahanis1970 I didn't come to Any Conclusion. I was posing a thought, a curiosity if you will. Yes I'm very aware that actors gain and lose weight all the time. She was also at that freshman college age during the Brooklyn shooting, coulda just been the whole Freshman 15 thing as well. It's not a big deal relax. She looks great whatever her weight is.
I’d like to see her the array of British accents there actually are and not just see a posh accent labelled as British. As someone from uk, I’ve never met anyone who actually sounds like that. There’s a multitude of very distinct and different accents here she could get her teeth into.
I love her way of speaking and I love her all movies as she manages to speak all types of languages at the age of 23 /24 . She is brilliant ❤❤💋😍😘. I can perfectly spell her Irish name🤣🤣
She actually mentioned while doing press for Brooklyn that she didn't use her own accent and that her accent is harsher and more modern than Eilis'. So I thought that still counts and decided to include it here 😊

She actually mentioned while doing press for Brooklyn that she didn't use her own accent and that her accent is harsher and more modern than Eilis'. So I thought that still counts and decided to include it here 😊
aussiefirie girl she is Irish. Anyone who is born somewhere to Irish parents and moves is Irish . Also unless you are Native American there is no such thing as an American , it’s too young of a country. You will never here an Irish person say they are American just because they were born there. I was born in New Jersey to Irish parents and moved home at 6. I am Irish
you didn't really need to include the Irish accent because that is her normal voice because she is Irish, also her voice is just so calming and it's like I can fall asleep to the sound of her voice especially when she was narrating in The Lovely Bones, and the way she can nail all of those accents is amazing! she is definitely my favorite actress
@@BetteDavis19 Britain is made up of three countries - Wales, Scotland and England. It is technically a British accent, but calling it that is too broad as the accents in the three countries of Britain are vastly different. For example, you wouldn't refer to a Canadian accent as a 'North American accent'. There are 23 countries in North America with completely different accents and so it's just easier to be more specific and call it a Canadian accent.

She managed it because she was born in America and moved to Ireland as a kid. She already had an American accent

how could she do this as a kid lol
being THAT young to pull off an american accent is one of the reasons why she’s my favorite actress of all time.
I'm Polish and her polish accent is really good. She literally talks like someone from Poland who don't know English that good.
I don’t mean this in any malicious or rude way, it’s just to to help you: it’s ‘who doesn’t’.

Ruth Hermosura same here. Atonement is incredibly heartbreaking because of all the cast interpretation.
I just want to point out that her Arabic pronunciation in HANNA was flawless
While I don't speak Arabic, I have a pretty good ear for recognising dodgy accents, and felt her pronunciation was good.
Omg I'm German and that was rlly good

3 more movies to add to the list soon! The Seagull, On Chesil Beach and Mary, Queen of Scots.
that's five actually because she spoke three languages in Mary, Queen of Scots.
01. French
02. English language - Scottish accent
03. Gaelic
