What a great piece of work. Well done. It is a long time since I have seen a pair of Crescent sidecutters. I blew massive holes in both of the cutting edges of mine when cutting through a live extension cable.
Excellent Job! Good to see this vintage engine restored to working condition again. My ST's - after a life full of F2B aerobatics - are .35 to .60 😄 Is the fit of the needle in the spraybar tight enough for preventing air leaks? I know that the larger ST's were notorious for this.
Thank you Bruno. I haven't run it yet, so I don't know for sure whether it is air tight down the needle shaft, but it seems better than many of my factory needles. I have a Taipan that is very difficult to get a stable needle setting, so possibly the same problem.
@@ashcustomworks As a last resort, one can always try cutting a small piece of fuel tubing and putting it on the threaded part of the spraybar, pinched between the venturi and the brass needle holder. I got several engines, including a Veco 45, back in proper running condition that way.

You've got good eyes! These were my dad's side cutters. He was an electrical fitter and blew holes in his linesman's pliers the same way.
Excellent Job!

Yes, I do my combat NVAs that way and have done a few small diesels that way.
