      Over a long period of time, it’s not that big of a difference. You will spend the same fixing the cheaper one

    After you put 5k on both you’ll know why the grom costs extra. The grom will last longer and the aftermarket support is far superior

    My wife and I just picked up a Vader too. We just upgraded to the 428 17 tooth sprocket. The Vader losing torque but does get a higher end which u can keep up with the grom speed. HIGHLY recommend getting one especially if ur cruising at 45-55 mph. Amazon has the cheapest price. I’m gonna be buying an oil cooler soon to just to help the motor out. Keep the motovlogs going!

      @@ProDigit80how long have you had it? I’m super interested in getting one, and have some tinkering experience, I have loved riding 2 stroke mopeds (old style with pedals) for years now but would like the ease and reliability of a four stroke, if it is in-fact reliable

      Do you like the 150cc? I had the 125cc and swapped to a zs190 engine because the 125 was just too slow for the roads around me.

    3 months late but as the owner of a 50 cc (upgraded to 80cc) X-Pro Maui scooter i can say the scooters are much more friendly for beginer stunt riders, its my first bike and iv learned 1 handed siting wheelies, regular wheelies ofc, standers, knee knockers, all the basics for stunt riding. it can be done with the x pro maui, its one of the one qmb139 or 50 cc gy6 scooters that has dual rear shocks so its extra strong in the back end. the cases are the weakest part and they are bullet proof lol my scooter has 10k miles on the original motor with like 4 or 5 tear downs thru the past 5 years just for basic wear inspections and its always been just fine

    Dude, you gotta rev on that 150 ! Yeah, the stock bars stink, and modding that muffler is super easy, there’s just a short pipe in there with holes in it, no packing. With 16T front sprocket I’m getting about 58mph ( indicates 9K rpm in 5th/62-65mph but that’s not accurate ) Grom probably has a accurate speedo/tach, or is there one? 150 has fuel gauge and gear indicator, which is nice. Yeah, a 140 rear tire is going on my 150 soon, hoping it rides better/smoother.

    All the Chinese clones need to be known through gospel that you will need to make significant modifications but after the fact, your bike or quad will easily match the name brand trends.
    *The Grom is a deceptive gimmick in that these miniature motorcycles have been around for decades.* There were Ninja and Suzuki 150cc crotch rocket clones in the late 80's and early 90's. *My Pentora has been modded to such extents, it will devour a stock Yamaha Raptor 250.*
    With all that said, for the average person a stock Chinese budget bike or ATV will be a piece of junk. Unless they're willing to learn to modify and repair it, the little wiggles, straw sized air intakes and all that strangle performance and create annoyingly necessary mods and adjustments.
    *I guarantee that Vader is being strangled for air on the intake.* It's a standard design trait on all the Chinese stuff. As soon as you gut the intake systems, you'll see at least a 25% increase in performance if not 35. *$1600 still means about $200 in parts upgrades and $1500+ of your own labor, just as likely 2-3x that in labor in fact.* I have that much on my Pentora including nearly 100 feet of insulation on the exhaust which couples to a 2.5" glasspack muffler.
    *99% of people don't want to put 100 feet if exhaust header insulation on anything lol.*

    Man, my butt numbs first then my hands.... Can't ride non stop, gotta rest every hour or so. How do I get my hands stop numbing?? I tried switching grips, handles and gloves... Pls give me ideas on how to beat this eternal numbness

    Besides displacement . What’s the engine difference between the 150 and 125? Also The 125 looks to be based off of the gy6 platform. But I don’t recognize the 150 engine . Does anyone have info on the 150 engine and if it’s based off of another name brand engine ?

      Honda CG125, produced in HUGE numbers and designed to handle harsh conditions/neglect-increased now to 150cc on the Condor and 250 ( 229cc ) for the Hawk. Also available now with a balancer.

      150 is a pushrod engine. Super simple. Mine actually feels pretty quick.

      The 150 is a Honda CG clone engine. I have the XPro Hawk 150 and it’s a good engine. They just need maintenance like all bike engines.

      Like other's have said the CG150 in the Vader/Condor is pushrod based and the engine in the GROM is OHC. Think of the CG150 as the Chevy 350/Ford 351 of small engines and what is on the GROM is more like a V-Tec Civic. The CG doesn't have the top-end rpm's of the GROM but it's better at torque and acceleration. Plus they're simple to work on and have no timing chain.

    So I’ve ever never rode a motorcycle or dirt bike really anything like that but I’ve been looking into both of these bikes bc I really want to try to pick up biking but honestly don’t have any friends and scared I’m not gonna know how to ride either or what I should fix and how much all of this is gonna cost me I’m an EMT I’m not necessarily rolling in money just looking to have some fun cruising around on my days off anyways kinda wondering which bike is best for total beginners with no help other than TH-cam lol

      I'm an ATV guy and learned all of my riding on ATV's, so I still stink at riding bike. But my friend and I took a motorcycle safety riding course about two summers ago and got our motorcycle licenses. There was a girl in our group that literally never saw a motorcycle in pictures let alone in person and she passed with flying colors like the rest of us. Our instructors told us that of all of the years of them teaching the course there was only ONE person who failed. If the failure rate is that low and you're the one who failed that means you're a danger to yourself and others. The upside to the safety course is that you don't have to take a road test after you've passed and it helps get a discount on your bike insurance.
      I'd say the worst thing you have to get over that takes a bit is the stress caused by impatient drivers behind you. The more you ride the more you get used to it. People in cars seem think everyone on a bike has been doing it for years and don't stop to think the rider might be new. Plus they're impatient and don't care for the safety of those around them. They're just trying to get to their destination.

    i have a vader 125, I personally enjoyed saving about 3000+ dollars (paid 1299 shipped), but that cheap price tags comes with its costs, there is a lot of things I have had to do to it, changing the exhaust, carburetor, engine oil is a pain due to the bolts that break every single time, cheap parts, but i think it was worth saving for it, right now I know theres a lot of work i still need to do to it, but right now i have it in a decently working position 😂, if you buy a clone and dont know anything about motorcycles, make sure you know someone that does and can help you, because i guarantee your going to have random problems that your not going to have any idea why they are happening.

      Down 1 tooth on the front in my GROM made a huge difference so I’m sure same would go for the other one

      I paid about $1800 total (with shipping) for my condor from amazon. Right out the box I changed my mirrors, rear license plate delete & tailights, handlebars, and grips. I bought a new rear spring front sprocket (18t) and chain. I also ordered a 17t sprocket in case the 18t don't fit. I plan on posting a video of my bike after I complete the mods.

      @@texaspapi89 unless you’re a lightweight I’d run 16T, but that’s easy to try. Rear shock is a big question, it’s not horrible but a good shock is pricey. I ordered a Pirelli Angel rear in 140-70-12, see if that helps the ride any.

    I chose the condor over the grom because the grom is x2 more expensive. I can mod my condor how i want and have everything i want for the proce of a stock grom.. choice is yours. Some of these ppl are just die hard honda fans..

    The Vader 150 I believe, us a Lifan KPM. The Lifan is ridiculously difficult to check and adjust the valves. And many Chinese bikes need a proper valve adjustment the day you buy it.

    How is the gas mileage on both ?? Like if you were to take a Rd trip?? I seen the Kawasaki z125 ... It would be interesting to see all side by side put to the test... Great video

      MPG on my Condor 150 isn’t that great, maybe 60mpg.

      My condor average mpg is 70 over 750 miles. Has bigger jets than stock too. Pod filter, stock muffler.

      Never get a chinese bike as your first bike. Always get a working second hand Japanese bike.
      My recommendation is a Kawasaki Z125. It's between a grom and a Vader 150 in price, but zero wrenching required.
